I did a lot of research before finally deciding on this external. It was worth the effort. This thing is great. I use it with my dual booted Macbook. I save all my windows applications to this drive and also use another partition for my mac files. Works great with both OS's. Recognizes instantly. I highly recommend this drive. Come on now... anything with the Porsche name on it is quality stuff

Tiny and Powerful.......2007-07-26

This external hard drive is almost as fast as the laptop's internal hard drive -- it really lives up to USB 2.0 specs! What's even better, unlike most other mini external drives which need an additional power source, it requires only one USB port. I used my USB 2.0 port, but it's specs state it's usable with any USB port (though of course, a USB 1 port would slow it down).

With it's small size (3x5 and as thick as a deck of cards) and relatively high capacity (120G), it's a real value at the price. It's also durable; it traveled on vacation, occasionally just tossed into a bag with other hardware (please don't treat your electronics this way!).

Installation under XP was dead easy -- just plug and go. The CD with it has Win98 drivers and a user manual, but I didn't really need them.

To sum it up:
Pros: small, fast, durable and uses only one USB port for both power and communication.
cons: none so far!
