Problem with vendor.......2007-05-03

I ordered three of these cards. They were to be supplied by DBROTH, an Amazon vendor. They were charging me nearly $10 shipping for EACH item. That's $30 to ship three tiny xD cards. WOW!

I have a Fuji camera and bought an xd card type M. But it turns out that type M and type H cards are not compatible with all card readers (even ones that work with regular xd cards) so I have to use my cable and camera batteries to upload photos from my new card, or purchase a new card reader. Ugh!

Worth the extra money, unlock you masterware.......2006-09-06

Here's the lowdown on Olympus XD Memory. At 7.1 megapixels, I get about 283 photos on a card. If you have an olympus camera such as I do (The stylus 710), then you need to purchase the Olympus brand type H memory to unlock the 3d, artwork, and panoramic functions. The type M will unlock the panoramic function only. There are tons of "Olympus" memory by sandisc and others (all manufactured by samsung), but this will not include the unlock serial number you need to get into the software features. In my area, I had to go to a camera shop to find the 1gb type H, because everywhere else was about 1-2 months behind. Most chain stores you will be lucky to just find type M olympus. Of course you could save money on the XD card and buy one of the other brands marked olympus and pay an extra 20 dollars to unlock the master software also. This is just easier, and at this time is 6 of one and half a dozen of the other. Enjoy taking photos.

Remember to format your memory every few transfers. I had to replace my original xd card because it became corrupt and my camera kept reading xd card error. Still I stand behind my review that this is excellent, and what occurred to the memory was a fluke.
