Product Description
Aiwa introduces its XR-X7, a design-oriented CD component system that offers a wide range of advanced functions. The XR-X7 has a transparent acrylic top-opening CD lid and a curvaceous soft design. The main unit's stand makes it look like it's floating, giving a "light-footed" impression. Users can change the colors of the large, 12-color LCD display to suit their taste. As a final eye-pleasing touch, the entire system comes in a silver finish. But there's brawn with the beauty: the XR-X7 also offers high-quality sounds and easy operation. Its functions include a high-quality amplifier with 40W of powerful output, virtual QSURROUND that provides stereophonic acoustic effects, CD-R/RW playback and a CD optical digital output terminal that allows connection with a MD unit to further enhance the system.
Amazon.com Product Description
With 16 watts per channel and a no-nonsense, high-tech design, this CD-based executive microsystem is ready to rock any room it graces. Ported, two-way speakers offer impressive heft for their size (augmented by Aiwa's Super T-Bass effect), and you can tailor the sound to your preference with the system's electronic graphic equalizer and BBE mode (which clarifies high frequencies and enhances vocals and solo instruments). The AM/FM tuner offers 32 station presets.

aiwa sells crap.......2003-11-24
I bought two aiwa boomboxes last year. They both died within the year. This company sells crap and they don't care. Buy any other brand!!!
Great "bang-for-the-buck" for an executive micro system.......2002-09-22
I am very impressed with the sound of the XR-X7. This unit offers contemporary styling, several features and crystal clear sound usually found on much more expensive systems. I would say if you are looking for a "kathump-kathump" sound then the XR-X7 is probably not for you. (There is a sub-woofer jack in the back of the unit if more bass is desired, I do not use it.) If you like clarity in your music with accurate bass, then you will love this unit. The unit sounds excellent with CD's but is most impressive with satellite radio. Corner placement really brings the subtleties and definition of the sound alive. I would have given the unit 5 stars except for one feature I felt was frivolous. I feel the screen color adjustment (12 of them) should be traded for a balance control.
It would have been higher, but the remote [is bad].......2002-07-20
My JVC finally [quit] on me and I thought I would try a new flavor. The Aiwa is pretty sharp looking, has lots of features and sounds excellent. I use it in my bedroom, and the sound more than fills the room. However, it comes with possibly the worst remote control in the world! It's about as big as a credit card (and about as thick). To get some of the functions to work, you have to press and hold down a shift button while picking the option (repeat, shuffle, sleep etc...). Pretty much impossible to do with one hand (unless you have six fingers). Because of the remotes rather diminutive size, there is a fear that it would break easily.
My only other gripe is that there isn't a dimmer on the display. You can change the colors, but you can't actually dim them. It may sound silly, but if you are using it in a bed room, the display can actually be pretty bright and somewhat of a pain in the [behind] when trying to sleep.
In summary. Excellent machine. [Terrible] remote control. If the remote were more thought out, I would have given the XR-X7 a 5 out of 5...
Good looks and great sound..........2002-06-03
I found this little Aiwa Xr-X7 and figured it would be great. It has a crisp, clear sound and is great for a small room. I definitely recommend it to others. The surround sound is great because it brings out alot of unheard qualities in cd's.
Great looks, good sound.......2002-03-19
I recently bought an AIWA XR-7. The saleman tried to talk me into buying the AIWA 60 watt powered subwoofer, but I thought he was just trying to sell me something. I should have listened a little closer to what he was saying.
The XR-7 (without the subwoofer) is perfect for a small room, an office or a dorm room. It's sound is crisp and clear. I love the surround sound feature and the T-Bass modes. However to really fill out the sound you need the subwoofer. If you play your music soft and low, you don't need the subwoofer.
Would I recommend the XR-7? You bet!
Did I mention it looks great.
Customer Reviews:
Good looking unit, good sound.......2002-02-12
Nice system for the price. Easy to set up and use. Sounds very good in the basement.
Great looking but unreliable.......2002-01-24
I have had thi sunit for 3 months and have used it lightly. Now the CD player is hissing and skipping unexplainably.
Good but lousy radio reception.......2002-01-19
This little system has great sound but the FM reception is lousy. I work in NYC and work in Howard Stern's building. However, the reception of the radio station that he transmits on (92.3) is intermittent. My little ...radio picked it up no problem.
CD sounds good though and the system looks very smart sitting on my desk......
Had it for over a month now and the QSound signal processing (some type of phase shift) works fine for some songs but tends to accentuate certain instruments. For example, the lead guitar thats set to image from both speakers is drowned out by the keyboard that is favoring the right speaker. In some cases, the vocals get drowned out. Also the volume control is kinda fiddly. ...
Approperate MicroSystem.......2002-01-08
There are several advantages to this system over it's competitors, making it a really good small shelf system for a home.
1. It has 30W output - which means it can achieve good high volume.
2. It has an RCA jack on the back, so I can plug in my MP3 player.
3. It's simple. Tape deck, CD player, and sterio.
Is it great? No, the navigation is a little kitchey and the cd tray is a little slow (they should have done slot-loading technology). But it's REALLY good, no where near as bad as the other reviews make it out to be...
nice sound, but loud CD hiss.......2001-11-16
The system has very nice sound, but the CD makes an unusually loud hiss, which is especially evident at low volume levels. I'm debating whether to return it.
The FM reception is also very poor -- it only gets a handful of stations with any clarity. My 5-year old boom box does much better.

Amazon.com Product Description
Optimized for places where space is tight and quality counts, this compact CD/radio fits comfortably on a desktop or countertop. Just make sure you keep it in view--its futuristic appearance and snazzy blue-lighted speakers demand visual appreciation.
The XR-M313 comes with a 5.5-watts-per-channel amplifier, top-loading CD player, an AM/FM tuner with 32 presets, a 30-track programmable CD player, bass-reflex speakers, and full-function remote control.
An electronic graphic equalizer lets you tailor sound to your taste and environment. If you're into bass, a T-Bass control boosts the low frequencies, and the unit supplies a dedicated subwoofer output for hookup to a powered speaker for serious slam. Stereo analog RCA inputs let you hook up a tape deck or other audio component.
The XR-M313 includes FM and MW/LW antennas.
Customer Reviews:
Very Disappointed.......2004-06-12
This was one of the worst buys I've ever made. I returned my original one, because it made an excessive amount of noise. The replacement made the same amount of noise. The CD-loading mechanism is pretty bad and has to be helped along to work. Now, the tape mechanism is broken.
The remote is awful. It looks good initially, but many of the best features are hidden under the plastic shield. It's awkward to use. I don't plan on buying another AIWA product. The JVC I had before was much better.
Very clear sound.......2002-08-15
Amazingly good sound for such a small unit! All my audiophile friends who got great mega systems, also bought this marvel.
Some for bedroom, like the previous reviewer did.
Whoever wants it, should hurry though, since it is discontinued
item and to my knowledge, only some Circuit City stores carry them for $169.99 while supplies last.
Its great for a Bedroom.......2001-07-26
This system is just a great mini sytem. (It is very good looking and small. It fits almost anywhere and it sounds great. I would recommend it for anyone who is looking for a small system for a bedroom.

Great combo of sound, style and price.......2002-06-07
This stereo is all that I hoped for and more when I bought it. It sounds great, looks good enough to put in a finsished room and I thought was very reasonably priced compared to similar sytems. Perhaps the only negetive, if I have to find one, is that it does not have a equalizer to finesse your sound preferences and relies upon settings for pop, jazz, classical, etc. (see prior reviews, though I do not believe the sound quality suffers) I personally don't find this to be a problem and did not buy the stereo to be the equivalent of a $500 system.... Overall I think its a really great system.
not for all kind of music.......2002-03-20
it is good for pop jazz and cllasic music but if i try
it with rock it suonds so bed . i like 70s progresive rock
and hard rock and i can not hear it well and it suonds so bed.
i am very disapointed of buying the aiwa xs-g3
Looks good, Sounds Bad.......2002-01-18
I don't know what cd's all the other reviewers were listening too, but when I heard mine on this stereo, sometimes I had to turn it off. Some instruments just sound awful on this system, distortion you wouldn't get in any old boom box. Some acoustic guitars, some pianos even. Pianos! How do you make a piano sound bad? This stereo manages to do it. Most songs will sound good, but there are songs on all of my cd's that will be distorted on this stereo. Radiohead fan? Amnesiac and The Bends are static-y. The piano in "You and Whose Army" is scratchy all the way through. Just an example of what you can expect from this one. I don't know about watts or anything, but if that's the case, then go for one with more than 120, like this one. Way more.
best in its price range.......2002-01-02
i've always wanted an aiwa shelf system and this christmas i finally got one. this thing is great! the prominent speakers blast a quality of sound that my deprived ears just aren't used to in a personal stereo. there are a million settings and fun ways to play with this new toy - the motorized window panel being a favorite - although the somewhat confusing remote control can take a while to get accustomed to.. another tiny complaint is that the cd tray makes a noise louder than preferable when switching discs. but overall, i love this unit. it all fits on one shelf, has exceptional sound and performs better than far more expensive competitors.
Sound quality.......2001-12-18
I am a budding audiophile and was looking for a bedroom portable stereo to compliment my "true" HI-FI (Krell, B&W, Sonic Frontiers, etc). Checked many systems and generally found the expected results: too much attention to looks and exterior design, pretty mediocore sound quality.
It seems that Aiwa XS-G3 will not win any looks awards; however, the sound quality is amazing for a system of this size and price. I already listened to all kinds of music on it: jazz, classical, new age and rock and I am still very impressed. Despite relatively low SNR for a HI-FI (86 dB) , this systems overall sounds better than many others x10 in price.
The user interface is so-so and the remote is nothing to write home about, as other reviewers pointed out. However, if you are looking for the best sound quality in a small system, I think that Aiwa XS-G3 is a true winner.
Other manufacturers checked: Sony, JVC (too bad the FS-5000 seems to be discontinued), Sharp.

Product Description
AIWA's leading-edge technology puts you in control of the finest A/V entertainment available anywhere. Bring it home with AIWA. This XR-EC10 micro system is a high-performance solution for tight spaces. It combines a tastefully styled design with an advanced technology. The system is provided with a 3-disc CD changer, an AM/FM digital synthesized tuner, 2-way bass reflex speakers, a DINA amplifier and a remote control.
Amazon.com Product Description
Style and quality walk hand in hand with this exciting little microsystem. The Aiwa XR-EC10 packs a three-CD changer and 30 watts per channel into a chassis as elegant as it is small. CD functions include 20-track programming, random play, repeat play, and CD-R/CD-RW compatibility. The digital-synthesizer tuner receives FM, AM, and weather broadcasts, and its 32 presets let you skip to the station you want.
By connecting a powered subwoofer to the dedicated subwoofer output, you can enhance any musical style with lower-octave reproduction for an even greater sense of realism. The system's two-way speakers use wood enclosures. Although more expensive to manufacture than sealed-box designs, bass-reflex speakers reproduce lower frequencies more efficiently. The unit's Dynamic Integrated Neo Amplifier (DINA) produces power more efficiently than do conventional amplifiers, so you can enjoy clear sound across the unit's audio spectrum. Separate bass and treble controls let you tailor the sound to your preference. The XR-EC10 includes a remote control.

The Canon Elph 2 has an all-glass aspherical lens with hybrid autofocus, automatic exposure control, a built-in flash with red-eye reduction, and intuitive film speed setting. It also offers a 10-second self-timer that is compatible with an optional RC-5 remote. Along with these foolproof features, you get the ease of use of the APS format, which includes drop-in film loading, midroll change, and an array of other user-friendly features. You can choose among three print formats--classic, group, or panoramic--as well as a number of date imprint options.
The Canon Elph 2 operates on a lithium CR-2 battery. This kit includes a battery, a carrying case, a strap, and a roll of film so you can start snapping pictures right away. The kit also includes a one-year manufacturer's warranty on parts and labor.
Customer Reviews:
great panoramics.......2007-06-23
this would be the prime reason why i bought it. Everything else is mediocre. And it costs so much to develop. Not very good as every day camera(better go digital). However the panoramics are superb. I would take this camera on a trip in a conjunction with a digital camera.
Great camera, poor pic quality w/ Kodak film.......2004-10-04
I've switched over to a Canon digi-cam, but I used the Elph 2 for a couple of years. During those years, pictures taken on on the Elph 2, just never turned out right. They were either grainy, suffered from color saturation, red-eye, you name it. That is until I discovered the magic of Fuji film. I had up until that time used Kodak Avantix APS film exclusively, believing that paying more meant better quality. Wrong! Fuji film is not only much cheaper, but my prints were awesome in every way possible. In fact, my last set of photos were taken on the streets of Las Vegas during the late-night hours, plus lots of indoor pictures in a dimly lit room with the shades drawn...but every picture turned out, if you will, picture perfect. I can't bash Kodak, because it's the only film I've ever used, and bottom line, it's the best. But when it comes to the Canon Elph 2, you should switch to Fuji film. I guarantee, you'll see the difference.
Best Point and Shoot on Market.......2003-10-07
I bought this camera 3 1/2 years ago to take with me when I moved to Germany. It's small enough to fit in your jeans pocket, but makes cleaner and better quality prints than I've seen in a point and shoot camera. It was very durable and lasted several years of use overseas, and I'm still enjoying its compact size and light weight here in the states. If you are in any way intimidated by the digital camera age, and would like a small, versatile APS camera, this is it!
This is a GREAT Little Camera!.......2003-10-01
I have owned this camera for about 3 years, and am still surprised in the quality of photographs I get from it! We recently returned from Maui, where a photo can make or break a beautiful memory. Most, if not all, of our photos from this trip are frameable, they are SO beautifully crisp and clear! It does a great job in any of the three modes it offers. The film loads and unloads easier than any camera I've ever operated, and the flash is automatic, so you don't even have to think about it.
The only complaint I've ever had is that it doesn't zoom very far, but that is a small sacrifice for such great photos from this little wonder!
A truly well engineered product.......2003-09-30
I own the original Elph and also the digital Elph S200 (now discontinued). I love them both. The $500 Pentax with the bazooka lens sits on the shelf, unused and collecting dust. The Elph line is everything you want and need, unless you aspire to be an artiste.
