OVERVIEW
I had this radio in my 2004 Jeep Wrangler. It tucked nice under the dash and was a great performer. Power was good as well as reception. Great Buy!
POWER
Any CB you purchase is limited to 4 watts output power so dont let size fool you. ALL CB'S are limited to 4 watts due to FCC regulations, look it up!
PRICE
The price on this site is high retail to say the least. I purchased this unit from Wal-Mart for 35 dollars. Its now called 19DXIV or 19 Ultra III, it comes with an updated appearance and digital screen.
SIZE
This will not take up a bunch of in-cab space that you dont have to spare due to manual tranmissions and transfer case levers. It tucks away nice and doesnt get in the way.

Small Size=greater versatility.......2006-08-02

This unit's small size makes it possible to mount in any vehicle. Every car at my house has a spot where it could be mounted (but it stays in my truck!). This radio works just as good as the more expensive ones, as long as your antenna is of high quality and tuned. I highly recomend this radio to people who are looking for a basic radio that won't break the bank, and for the CB'ers who just want to communcate to other drivers without having to mess with RF gain, delta tune, dyamic boost, etc.

Antenna Question.......2004-05-04

The previous review that mentions antennas are key to a good CB setup is correct. For a normal CB user I would recommend either the Wilson lil' Wil or the Wilson 500 antenna. Both are magnetic mount antennas. The lil' Wil antenna is a relatively small antenna and it's only around $39.00. Actually any Wilson CB antenna will be fine. Also, to do a good job at setting up your antenna you should purchase an SWR meter. They are not expensive. You only need the meter connected inline between the radio and antenna when you are adjusting the antenna. Once you are done adjusting the antenna you can take the meter out of the connection and connect the antenna directly to the radio. Don't be fooled by cheap ordinary CB antennas like you will find at radio shack. Do not settle for anything less then a Wilson antenna. Cobra and Uniden both make fabulous CB radios so either make will be fine.

Response to Range.......2004-04-07

The range of any cb depends upon the antenna. A $30 cb on a good antenna will have considerable more range than a $150 cb on a cheap antenna. Inexpensive cbs do have less sensitivity and features of more expensive cbs, but if you are just starting out, I would suggest an inexpensive cb with a good antenna such as a Wilson 'Lil Will' magnet mount. If you purchase the antenna at a cb shop, normally they will be more than happy to install and tune the antenna for you free of charge. The antenna normally runs around $30 and is one of the better entry level antennas out there. I have ran a cb for 10 years and I still use one as a back up. But remember, the secret to range is in the antenna system.. not so much the radio. But whatever you choose.. do not get one of those 'through the glass' or a 'rubber magnet mount' antenna. These are poor antennas with very limited range, usually less that a mile. Get something with a steel whip equal to or over 36" in height.

So far, disappointed........2006-03-26

I bought the drive with many expectations, based on some other reviews, but I am not very happy so far.

First of all, it doesn't bring instructions. It brings a dual USB cable, but I don't know which connector two use. Sor far, it seems that both connectors are necessary all the time, when the hard drive works. If I want to buy an external power source, no specifications are provided other that the 5V DC printed on the case.

Second, I have Windows XP, and it seemed to recognize it at once, the first time I connected it, but I am disappointed seeing that it doesn't work all the time. Honestly, I don't know if this is a problem with the operative system, the connector, the energy provided bt the PC USB ports, or simply that the drive is not working properly.

I managed to test the hard drive with the Wire Fire cable, and it worked well, but the problem is that most PC's don't bring this type of ports.

Convenient and cool, but it's USB 1.1 only.......2004-07-12

I've had this installed for around six months now. It's cool, and I definitely needed a way to plug USB devices into the front of my computer. I only have one Firewire device, but I'm happy to have the port for when friends want to plug their iPods into my system.

This hub is really nice for two main reasons:
1. External USB hubs cause a lot of clutter -- especially when you have as many gadgets as I do. Internal hubs are neat and tidy.
2. The fact that you can put this hub into an (almost definitely) unused 3.5 inch drive bay is very valuable, because you are far more likely to want to use the larger drive bays for other expansion in the future, but it's unlikely you'll need another 3.5 inch floppy drive -- ever ;-)

Two slight drawbacks, however:
1. As soon as I installed it, I was kicking myself for forgetting that I wanted to plug USB 2.0 devices into it. For that reason, I'm thinking about replacing this thing with a USB 2.0 compatible device.
2. One other weird thing -- this makes sense, but I hadn't really thought about it until I installed this hub -- is you have to plug it into an existing USB and Firewire port on the back of your computer. It has a USB plug and a Firewire plug that come out of the back of the computer, and then you plug it into your existing ports.

Cool product.......2002-08-21

I think this is a cool product especially if you ran out on PCI slots. In case of a PCI slot however, you need to mess behind the computer. This one gives a front access which you will usually need with USB and Firewire devices. 4 USB and 2 Firewire is a great lot too.

This is the worst monitor I've bought.

Right out of the box, the screen had a bluish tint at the left corner. It took some time but I finally got the thing to work right.

Avoid your problems and this lemon. Buy CTX or anything else. But never again will I purchase a Viewsonic.

This is one of the worst monitors I've ever encountered. It is very blurry. It turned itself off then reappeared with the most horrible blurry screen I've ever seen! I rebooted my machine and it returned to normal.....only to do it again 20 minutes later!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS MONITOR! I am a computer professional....I have seen many monitors...this is by far the WORST.ALSO take not its not flat at all...Viewsonice put a flat piece of glass in front of the CURVED tube to FOOL you!

Great Monitor FANTASTIC Price.......2003-01-22

Viewsonic has delivered a TOP-Notch 17 inch monitor that blows away the competition in price/performance with it's perfectly flat 17 inch screen!

I was looking high and low for a good addition to the Sony Computer I recently bought and I keep coming back to Viewsonic based on recommendations of my co-workers and friends who have Viewsonics and from recommendations in articles. The 17 inch tube is PERFECTLTY flat which is great for webpages and gaming alike. The picture is crystal clear and the colors are vibrant.

I was considering the 'Multimedia' Viewsonic with built-in speakers but if you have good speakers you might want to save your money and get this non-multimedia version. I have heard the speakers on my friend's Multimedia monitor but I thought my speakers were just as good if not better. It's a personal choice. You can always do better with stand alone speakers and a good sub-woofer (a must for gaming).

Setup was a piece of cake and they delivered this thing FAST.

When you open this box you see the quality. It is built to outlast the computer, that's for sure. And at around 37 or 40 pounds it is EASY to lift. Weight is something I was concerned about too. Also you will find that the depth of the monitor is not much greater than a 15 inch monitor. This 17 inch monitor easily fits on my small work area easily with room to spare!

The 25 mm dot pitch gives me a clear view of my work. I fell in love with Gateways VX series monitors which are great. But this Viewsonic E70f is right up there in quality and performance with high-end monitors. And the warranty tells me Viewsonic believes in this monitor's quality. Viewsonic would not have a 3 year warranty if they were darn sure it would last alot longer than 3 years!

I expected to wait a week or more but they delivered in about 3 days! Buy one you will love it!
