Product Description
Contoured to perfectly fit a player's hand, the Nunchuk controller goes an extra step to meet the needs of gamers. It features the same motion-sensing technology enabled in the Wii Remote controller, with an analog stick to assist in character movement. Use it to move your characters and have them perform all kinds of specific actions -- whether it's throwing a pass in football or aiming a ranged weapon in an action game. The ambidextrous nature of the Wii controllers grants accessibility seldom seen in game controllers.
Amazon.com
The Wii Nunchuk controller is a secondary controller that adds even more innovation to the next generation of gaming, and does it all with less physical movement.
Used in conjunction with the standard Wii remote, certain games need the Nunchuk controller for additional control options. Contoured perfectly to fit a player's hand,
The Wii Nunchuk (left) connects directly to the Wii remote. View larger. |
the Nunchuk controller builds on the simplicity of the Wii Remote controller. The Nunchuk contains the same three-axis motion sensor found in the Wii Remote, but also includes an analog stick, and two buttons to help assist in character movement.
Many games will allow you to control your character's movement with the Nunchuk in your left hand, while your right hand is free to execute the action movements with the Wii Remote. For example, the Nunchuk is particularly useful for games like Wii Boxing. You can use the Nunchuk to punch with your weaker hand, while you use the Wii remote to punch and jab with your predominant hand.
Take the fun to the next level with two-handed control of your games. View larger. |
In first-person shooters, the Nunchuk controller carries the burden of movement, freeing you to aim and fire using a more natural motion with the Wii Remote. In a football game, you can make your quarterback elusive with the Nunchuk controller while you search for an open receiver to throw to using the Wii Remote. Serious gamers may even want to use two Nunchuk controllers to gain a fierce competitive edge.
Because the Wii Remote and Nunchuk controllers are only relatively dependent on each other, players are free to hold them in whichever hand is most comfortable. Perfectly suitable for either right or left-hand use, the Wii Nunchuk controller grants accessibility not often seen in previous game controllers.
Also, the Nunchuk controller doesn't need its own power--it plugs into the Wii Remote controller when it's in use. So there's no need to worry about charging or replacing expensive batteries.
Adding a Nunchuk to your Wii system will definitely help you open the doors to the next level of gaming, and seriously step up performance. Just be careful not to knock out your significant other, or bruise the dog, severely, while using one, or two Nunchuk controllers.

Great!.......2007-09-26
Its just a compliment to the Wii system that is a great gaming platform for all ages
Fun necessity for Wii Games.......2007-08-25
This is an essential accessory for those who want to take full advantage of the Wii gaming system. Boxing is fun with someone you love, but it also serves as a good aerobic workout for you using this device. Other reviews have done a very good job explaining the tricks for using this, so I will just comment that you need to get at least 2 of these (buy an extra) if you get the system. Four if you are getting a full sytem.
A must have for the Wii mote.......2007-08-20
You'll need a wii mote to use this and many games will require you to have it in order to play. It uses the batteries from your wii mote. It can detect motion like the wii mote but you can't point at the screen with it. I t has an analog stick and two buttons. The only cons are that it does not vibrate, you can't click the analog stick like the xbox 360 controller, seems overpriced, and it is not included with the wii mote.
Nothing Bad, a good controller............2007-08-20
The Wii Nunchuck Controller is an attachment to the Main Wii Controller which is sold seperatly. Theres really nothing much to this except you most likely need this for most games that are out right. I just wish they didn't have to sell this seperatley from the main Wii COntroller because the Nunchuck is an important thing to have. Why do we have to pay over $20 just to get this which can only be powered by the wii controller and that the only thing that this has are 2 buttons and a Joy-Stick. A more reasonable price for this is $9.99 or maybe even $14.99, but over $20 is a little much for this kind of thing.
A must have, if for nothing else than Wii Boxing.......2007-07-18
It's only $20 and worth it just to be able to box against another person.

Customer Reviews:
Nothing to complain about..........2007-09-27
Yes, the 360 pad is probably the most comfortable controller that I've ever owned. Wireless is a massive convenience and while the design doesn't take many risks, it bests most in its ergonomics and functionality.
Highly recommended.
Goodie.......2007-09-21
What can be said, same as the wireless controller that came with your Xbox 360. Quality controller and you 2 to play someone else so go for it.
This is the best thing XBOX 360 have!.......2007-09-21
I don't know why the best thing about the XBOX 360 platform happened to be the controller, actually this is true in my case the console broke down on me a couple of times during the first six months but the control stay good as new, even after a few falls and heavy use
Great Purchase.......2007-09-10
This is a great purchase, really does make gaming better and no hassle without all the chords. Wireless is definetly a good choice.
A must have.......2007-08-23
This is one of those cases of "I didn't know what I was missing until I tried it"
I was fine with a wired controller and decided to get this just because I wanted to be able to turn off my xbox remotely from my bed, rollover and go to sleep without having to get out of bed to put the controller away.
I wish I had gotten it from day 1 now; the lack of cables is just so comfortable I can't go back to wired now. My dog no longer trips over the cord while I'm playing, I can have the controller with me while I'm on my computer and use it to browse through pictures, videos, or music in Media Center; and it makes watching DVD movies with the girlfriend all more enjoyable since I don't have to get all tangled up with the cable every time I pause it for bathroom breaks.
Battery life so far is great; I'm not a heavy user, but I've been using this controller for about two hours every night since I got it a week ago, even with the rumble feature on I still haven't had to recharge it once.
I highly recommend this controller, and while you are at it pick up a quick charge kit too.

Product Description
The Wii Remote Controller makes gaming as accessible to people of all ages and all abilities. Nintendo fused the familiarity of a remote control with the sophistication of motion-sensing technology -- creating a multifunctional device limited only by the imagination. In a tennis game, it serves as your racket you swing with your arm. In a driving game, it serves as your steering wheel. For first-person shooters, the remote acts as your weapon that you point at an enemy. The list of potential uses goes on and on.
Amazon.com
To make gaming as accessible to people of all ages and all abilities, Nintendo wanted to create a controller that was as inviting as it was sophisticated- the result is the Wii Remote. Nintendo fused the global familiarity of a remote control with the sophistication of motion-sensing technology to come up with an input device that differentiates the Wii from any other console that has come before it.
Revolutionary control
Sporting the dimensions of a small traditional remote control, the wireless Wii Remote is a multifunctional device that is limited only by the game designer's imagination. The magic of the Wii Remote's design lies within; acellerometers inside the controller body measure movement in all directions and at all speeds. In a tennis game, it serves as your racket as you swing your arm for a long forehand or a quick and hard backhand. In a 4x4 driving game it serves as a steering wheel, allowing you to swerve to avoid obstacles or pickup power-ups. In first-person shooters, the Wii Remote acts as a firearm that you can point directly at an on-screen enemy. The list of potential uses is enormous, and the light weight of the Wii Remote allows gamers to play for hours without feeling fatigued.

As comfortable as it is functional
The Wii Remote is equally comfortable in right and left hands and houses just the right number of buttons for gaming- not so many that new players will get confused, but enough so that Wii games don't feel constrained. On the face of the remote are the D (or "plus") pad, a large "A" button which is used for major on-screen actions, and two small options buttons. Between the game buttons are a plus and minus buttons (which often act as "forwards" and "back"), as well as a "Home" button to engage the Wii home screen to change settings or check remote battery levels. On the back side of the controller is a trigger-like "B" button, perfect for timing releases of a bowling roll in Wii Sports.
Thankfully, battery life is excellent with the two included AA batteries, just as with the previous generation of Nintendo wireless controllers.
Immersive intelligence
Along the bottom of the Wii Remote, four blue LED lights indicate which player position the remote is currently set to. The controller automatically connects to the Wii console via Bluetooth wireless technology. Below the LEDs, an expansion port lets you connect a number of devices including the Nunchuck and Classic controllers for Virtual Console gaming (Virtual Console games and controller accessories sold separately). Other features of the Wii Remote include adjustable rumble force-feedback and a reinforced wrist strap to ensure safe use. A speaker inside the remote gives the player feedback about the strength of swings or the accuracy of their moves- such as realistic tennis noises as the "racket" connects with the ball in Wii Sports. Overall, the physical design of the remote is extremely sturdy and of very high quality, ensuring countless hours of Wii gaming fun!

Wii Remote Controller.......2007-09-17
As far as I know, it is the only controller available for the Wii System.
I highly recommend the rechargeable controllers with the charging station.
Besides always having fully charged controllers ready, you help the environment by not using so many batteries.
Muy bueno.......2007-09-16
Excelente funciona bien pero el unico inconveniente fue que cuando me lo enviaron lo mandaron solo en una bolsa
Wii is great. Do NOT buy from Amazon........2007-08-24
Wii is fun. I am not a hardcore gamer and I like it. You need to buy extra controllers because the Wii is shipped with only one remote and one nunchuck.
Multi-player gaming waayy better.
Do not buy remote or nunchuck from amazon. They take forever to ship. Use the amazon site to find other vendors and buy from them.
Enjoy.
Feels like you are in the game.......2007-08-20
This controller senses movement and sees where you are pointing on screen which is great for shooting. This controller makes playing games more fun than last generation controllers. I recommend buying rechargeable batteries because you will waste batteries playing this and I don't even turn on the vibration and speaker on the wii mote. The speaker on it sounds very cheap and is very difficult to hear, but it is a real good concept. It can only sense the pointer from about 8 feet away which isn't very far especially when you are playing on a big screen and you don't want to stand so close to the TV.
Very Good Contoller.......2007-08-18
The Wii Controller is a very fun, very interesting and smart new controller for our generation. The consept behind it is that tha controller is supposed to be an extension of your body, so where ever you move the controller the game your playing will react to those movements(depending on the games your playing like Wii Sports and Legend of Zelda). While it is fun there are some things that Nintendo could have done better. For Example - The Wii controller is a little too sensative sometimes(when you play Tennis on Wii sports, sometimes I try not to move or else I will hit the ball too soon or too late). The Wii Controller runs on Batteries just like The Xbox 360 controller, and could've been like the PS3 controller with a recharchable controller. The fact that most games have to use the detachable Nunchuck attachment, it is really f***in retarted that they would sell it seperatley, and the price of both the Wii controller and the Nunchuck is about the price of a Next-Gen game ($60.00 plus tax) which is not that bad but it is a hassel especially that the Wii is meant to have 4 controllers so that would cost about as much as $200.00. The sound that is built into the controller is cool, but I can't lower the volume on it which is annoying especially if its night time and trying not to wake the people around me that are trying to sleep(if you can someone tell me) and it sounds like a cheap toy. And the last thing is that when you have to turn the controller to its side to play some games it is a lil uncomfortable, it doesn't feel right. Still I like the new concept over the casual game controllers But they could've done a lil better on it.

Very nice........2007-09-27
Same feeling as a PS2 controller, but wireless. Unlike the Xbox360 controllers, you don't have to press any special buttons to get these wireless controllers to synch up with the PS3.
I wish it was a little bit larger for my hands.
Sincerely,
Ira Carmel.
DOESNT DO RUMBLE...WHO CARES?!?.......2007-09-25

I don't think there's a single bad thing I can say about this controller. Well ok, one thing... Bring back the dual shock! Great product! ultra comfort! Must buy!
Great controller.......2007-09-14
I hadn't have such a good gaming time like this in a long while!... These controllers are out of this world!
Great PS3 controller.......2007-09-13
This is the standard PS3 controller, but it works great! The battery life is truly exceptional and never gives out on me in the middle of a game. There is no rumble pack in the new generation of PS3 controllers, but I think that is a good thing because battery life increases significantly.

The Verdict.......2007-09-24
I like this product well made have used alot since i have bought the product and its worth its value.
Best Xbox controller made.......2007-09-17
This is the real thing, only a better price than anywhere else... Get one, it's awesome to play on the couch with nothing to trip up the dog as he strolls by the TV.
It's just a controller.......2007-09-14
It does what it's supposed to. It's got great communication with the X-Box 360, and I don't know what else I could review.
The buttons feel awesome and responde to my touch! The joy sticks feel great and also work as a button when you push them!
Whatever... you get the point.
flawless, black.......2007-09-09
Based on the old Xbox S-controller with added bumpers. This controller can turn on/off the 360 remotely, act as a remote, works on a PC, connects to a headset, etc... It rumbles -- the $600 PS3 doesn't. It connects FLAWLESSLY. Never fails to connect and the connection never drops, ever, even though it's wireless. Battery life is extremely LONG - you'll be able to use the thing forever without recharging. Attachements exist for charge & play, Accessories for quick charge. Options for regular or rechargable batteries.
3rd party wireless controllers for the original xbox SUCKED! The connection dropped, they would malfunction. Everything about this 360 controller is right!
Great design, and it's worth going wireless.......2007-09-07
The design of the XBox 360 controller is great. I like the button layouts, the placement of the analog sticks, and the inclusion of the triggers on each side. The directional pad leaves a little to be desired, but that's a fairly minor shortcoming. And it's nice to have the big green 'X' in the middle to bring up the XBox dashboard at any time. This particular controller is wireless as well, which I consider a must these days. Why use a wired controller when the wireless offers a range of 30 feet and can be used with a rechargeable battery?
Supposedly this controller will run over 30 hours with a set of AA batteries, but I'd recommend just buying the battery pack and either charging it with a Play and Charge Kit or a Quick Charge kit. This will allow uninterrupted gaming as you can charge the controller while you're playing it simply by plugging it into the Play and Charge. Definitely worth it.
One note--many retailers offer the black controller for the same price as the white one. They're essentially the same thing--if you want the black it's worth your time to find someone who will sell it to you for the same price as the white ones cost.
Customer Reviews:
Amazingly beautiful controller!.......2007-09-28
I didn't need another controller, but I bought this one anyways. It came with a figureine and it is a piece of artwork in itself. I play with it, but after I get my gamestop exclusive missle case in the mail, I might just leave it in there permanantly on display. I might also buy the other one too just so I can have both versions and both versions of the figurine. I wish the second figurine was a brute or the arbiter or something... but oh well. This controller is truly a work of art as most things Halo are. And the figurine gives us a sample of whats to come in January from McFarlane toys! I can't wait! Keep on bringing the Halo merchandise cause baby I am buyin!
It works... I guess. But why so complicated?.......2007-09-27
What's with the extra tiny button for synching the controller to the Xbox? Why do other wireless devices succeed without this button? Why does the PS3 wireless controller have nice re-chargable batteries that charge off the USB port, and this one doesn't? Inquiring minds want to know.
The size is nice though. I still think the GAMESTER USA FPS Master for Playstation 2 is the best controller ever, end of discussion, and I'm trying to build a setup to use this controller with Xbox 360. Hopefully it will work.
Sincerely,
Ira Carmel.
Good Stuff!.......2007-09-20
Well, seeing as though I'm a Halo fan, and was pretty disappointed in the Halo 3 Edition 360, because of it looking pretty plain, I decided to get this instead, really I think it was worth it if you're a Halo fan, the design I think is great, and the figurine, small, but very detailed. Now just like other people the only BIG problem I see is with the battery, it would have been nice to get a recharge pack or something, but all in all it's worth buying for the Halo fans.
Only for the Hardcore.......2007-09-17
This device works the same as all previous Xbox 360 controllers only with more attractive graphics on the front. Only die hard Halo fans need apply. What do you get for an extra $10? just the pretty looks and a little plastic army man (Okay, it is Spartan 117). I was disappointed that it did not come with the rechargeable battery for the extra money which is the reason for the lower review however, it is still a rock solid product and is recommended for the fanboy in us all.
overpriced; no color-coordiated NiMH battery.......2007-09-09
Based on the old Xbox S-controller with added bumpers. This controller can turn on/off the 360 remotely, act as a remote, works on a PC, connects to a headset, etc... 3rd party wireless controllers for the original xbox SUCKED! The connection dropped, they would malfunction. Everything about this 360 controller is right!
2 criticisms: 1) It's overpriced; frankly it's almost double the price it should be (if the spartan figurine is supposedly a bonus, then we shouldn't be paying $20 more for the controller). 2) for the money, they should throw in a color-coordinated black NiMH battery, which they don't. If you have white NiMH batteries, they of course won't match the black back of the controller.

Customer Reviews:
A great accessory.......2007-09-17
I'd longed for a thumbboard even before I heard this product was in the works. Using the gamepad to enter text is a serious drag, especially for entering prepaid codes. Once MSN Messenger support was added to Xbox Live, I almost considered plugging in a USB keyboard. But there's just something annoying about switching between a gamepad and a keyboard.
The Chatpad does exactly what it's meant to do. If you've used a Sidekick before, the feel of the keyboard should be immediately familiar but with more of a click. It's easy to use, lets you type fairly fast, and has some nice little features, like a backlight and a dedicated Messenger button, which when pressed will pause the game and pull up a small overlay box of your current Messenger conversation.
The included headset seems like a slight improvement over the original and includes the volume/mute control in the middle of the cord. Because of the change in the plug from the original, you can also use the headset with a phone, if you really want.
The only complaints I have:
* The backspace key is placed in a pretty awful position, to the right of the space bar. That takes some getting used to.
* Occasionally, you might type too fast, and rather than a delay before your typing shows up, characters are simply dropped. Hopefully, that's just a software bug that will be fixed soon.
Overall, this is a good buy if you don't like using a USB keyboard and especially if you are a Messenger user.
good - but doesn't work inside media center.......2007-09-15
I like it. Doesn't affect how you hold the controller and I don't notice it while playing games. The only thing is I like to use the media center extender on the 360 and this doesn't work inside of it (at least not yet, maybe they will update the software soon). Not a huge loss, but there are a few things, like the online xm radio access for instance, that would be easier if this worked as once in a while you have to put in usernames and passwords.
Not a gimmick, great addon.......2007-09-13
The 360 chatpad is a much-needed relief from the thumbstick method of typing messages on Xbox Live.
I have larger hands, so leaving it attached to the controller doesn't bother me while I play games. If you have smaller hands or the chat pad bothers you while playing, you can simply detach or leave detached until you need it to type.
Since it takes up the space on the controller normally allocated to the Xbox Live headset, MS has included a new headset that works with the chatpad.
I found it very easy to type with the chatpad, and overall I think it is a must-have accessory for anyone with a friends list!
The keys light up for easy use in the dark, and there is a one-press MSN button for those that want to chat in between gaming sessions. MS has really outdone themselves on this one. The 360 chatpad is an exceptional accessory for less than the price of a new game!
i liked it.......2007-09-08
much easier to type on than the onscreen keyboard but not practical while you're gaming it changes the shape of the controller and makes my wrist hurt after awhile. maybe it's just something you have to get used to i don't know.

Necessity........2007-08-21
if you plan on getting these games for Virtual Console you NEED a Classic Controller. It's just not the same with a Cube Controller. I mean I love my wavebird, but the Classic is sooooo much more Responsive!
Following Games that I couldn't play right with out my Classic controller:
* Zelda LttP
* Donkey Kong Country 1 and 2
* Super Metroid (although this one isn't as bad because you can map the controls however you want, so the wavebird is pretty good.)
* MarioKart64 (surprisingly I find it a much more enjoyable experience on the classic than on the wavebird and playing this game with both really shows the major sensitivity difference i mentioned above.)
A must for DK.......2007-08-18
I bought this controller after downloading Donkey Kong Country on Virtual Console and trying to play it with my wireless Gamecube controller. The controlls were so awkward on the GC controller that I had trouble making it through the very first level. When I got this controller and played it felt just like it did on the SNES and the controlls were natural and easy.
I also like the fact that you can use either the joystick or the pad to move, and it is easier to use the joystick to browse the menu than pointing the Wiimote at the screen and having to hold your arm out. It also feels more natural than using the Wiimote for games such as Sonic. I don't have many games downloaded on Virtual Console, but I found it absolutely necessary for DK.
It is what you expect.......2007-08-17
I bought the Wii classic controller and Amazon asked for a review. I got it promptly. It works. The Wii is really fun. Now I can play Mario Cart. Awesome.
Great Innovation!.......2007-08-03
The classic controller is a very nice touch to the Wii system. Its very clean looking and is almost wireless by plugging it to the Wiimote. The only flaw is the price. For 20 bucks the price of one controller you could get 3 and sometimes 4 Gamecube controllers that work just as well.
All and all its very nice and easy to use!
Why?.......2007-07-12
Now I have not used this yet so i con't tell you how well this works. However i think that if you buy this it defeats one of the major points of the Wii. That point is to get you up and moving and have it be interactive. With this you are back to your couch potato days.
I admit that at first I didn't think the original wiimote would work, but now that I have used it I can tell you that It is the best invention in the history of gaming. In golf when you swing your character swings. In bowling if you throw with less force then the ball moves with less force. It is the next best thing to playing the actual sport. And in Zelda when you swing the wiimote your sword swings in the game.
I can tell you from personal experience that playing beside your friends or playing against them is so fun and it canbe done for hours. At my friend Nick's B-Day party we decided to play wiisports. We played just the bowling from 6:00-6:30 and then again at 7:30-11:30. We would have played longer except we were forced to go to bed. now If you want to miss out on all that fun fine with me, but it will be the worst decision in your entire life.

Not what I expected..........2007-09-24
Specified on the page was a Nyko Wii Wireless Sensor Bar, instead recieved some "Hais" brand that does not compare. Also received item at the end of a 21 business day waiting period. Slow transaction, definitely unsatisfied.
Use both!.......2007-09-15
So I had put this on my wishlist for my birthday and was happy to get it. It does indeed extend the range of the remotes. But our couch is 12' away from the TV (big TV) and was pushing the limit of even this sensor. But wait, it's not a sensor, is it? It's just a pair of LED emitters like the original. So I *stacked* them. They actually stack quite nicely, with the wired Nintendo emitter on bottom (so that the activation button on the Nyko is still on top). The result was amazing - what was jittery at 12' is now rock stable at 20'.
I like the timer function, and the on indicator. Not fond of the silver logo on front. But the product works great. If you have a Wii and a big screen, you want this product. Try it on it's own or stacked!
much more convenient.......2007-09-13
This is one of the best add ons you can get for the wii. getting rid of that thin grey wire is the best thing you can do. mine was always getting tangled and knotted. sensitivity and everything works perfectly, just like the original.
Great if you have a Beamer or >40'' TV.......2007-09-10
This one has around 30% more power than the original sensor bar, so you can definately sit around 5-10 feet beyond the position you have to mind having the original sensor bar without jerks.
5 of 5 stars because it works perfect
Wii Wireless Sensor Bar.......2007-09-09
The Wii Wireless Sensor Bar works great. Same as the wired one except we don't have to worry about the cat chewing on the wires, which is why we bought the wireless one.

For use with Sony Playstation-2 / Lets you feel the thrills and action of the game
Amazon.com Product Description
The layout of PlayStation2's Dual Shock 2 controller is nearly identical to that of the original PlayStation's Dual Shock controller, which is good news for most gamers. The main new feature is that, when the buttons are pushed, the controller can register how much pressure is being exerted. This adds a completely new dimension to sports, racing, fighting, and more games. Aside from the Start and Select buttons, all of the functions are analog for greater control, a wider variety of operations, and a more compelling interactive experience. Two convex analog thumb pads and two force-feedback solenoid rumblers round out the features. This controller is also compatible with all software that supports the original Dual Shock controller.

Great controller!.......2007-09-21
Great controller! no complain here fast shipping, works great with all games, don't waste your money on cheaper generic brands
Happy Camper.......2007-09-08

Sony Playstation 2 Dualshock Controller Black.......2007-09-08
Just like the last 3 Sony controllers I bought, this one sucks. As soon as I plugged it in, and turned on the game, the person I was trying to control starting moving backwards at a pretty fast clip. When I got it to stop moving backwards, he starting moving to the right just as fast. It was impossible to control him. I have since purchased a controller from Alienware, and it works perfect. Sony sucks. They have lost all interest in quality control. They are going on their name alone. I have 2 sons who have exactly the same problem with thier Sony controllers. I was going to send it back, but I just figured it would be a hassle, so I threw it away. Forget Sony if you want anything with high quality. I am not someone who abuses the game counsels or any thing that has to do with them. I am 61 years old and have been playing video games for a looooooong time. And my sons are 32 years old and 41 years old. They are not abusive little kids.
No problems.......2007-08-31
We recently purchased a 2 Dualshock Controller for sony Playstation and my son tells me it is working excellently.
