I was looking for a case that looked good and help protect my shiny new ipod. This did all that and the click wheel still works great through the protector .I does make your ipod a little bulkier but worth it IMO. Also I had to make the headphone hole a bit bigger so I could plug my Shure headphones in. This thing looks great. A little bulky, but I bought it not to be used as something for exercising and listening to music but to just listen to music. So if you want something lightweight, try something different. If you already have scratches on your iPod, you're pretty much going to see them even more clearly now.

The face plate on the front of the case makes the ipod look good without adding extra bulk. The hard plastic protects the screen while a more softer plastic protects the click wheel without hampering your ability to use it properly. However, Even though the back of the case is clear, the Belkin logo on the back would completely block out any engraving that you might have. Also, it does not dock in many docks but a lot of cases dont dock as well. It is quite easy to remove the ipod from the case if you do want to dock it though. It also slides into your pocket easily and does not get stuck like many cotton and synthetic cases do. A great buy all over!
30/60 gb ipod video case.......2007-08-16
A very substantial case with good looks. It snaps solidly together and there is no wiggle room once in the case. The headphone earbud issue could be a valid one, however, my Bose over the ear and Sennheiser buds fit just fine as do the buds that come with the 30 gig model. The aux cable to plug it into my dash cd player fits ok as well. The sliding around issue mentioned elsewhere is a valid concern. I will eventually glue some rubber material on it's back to solve that problem. The lack of clip would be a problem if your workout pants/shorts lack a pocket and listening while working out is must.
Bottom line--looks good, fits very snugly, and is solidly constructed throughout.

Good case only with Apple ear buds!.......2007-09-26
The case is fine with Apple ear buds. None of the head phones or external speaker jacks that I've tried to use will fit through the hole so you need to remove it from the case to install them. The hole can possibly be drilled larger but I will instead return the case and opt for one that works properly for my situation.

I had the item for about 3 months. I liked everything about the case but the back case seems to fly out if you actually use the carabiner clip which results with your Nano on the street. Finally, I lost the back case and couldn't find it this time. If you don't use the clip then I think you will be alright as I only had the issue when using the clip to attach to a belt or a bag hence the 3 star rating. I am going to
try out the ExtremeMac case next and write a review to see if it works better.
Damage Control for a 9 Year Old.......2007-08-27
I bought this case to protect my 9 year old's new Nano. It does an excellent job of protecting the entire iPod without making it difficult to access the buttons or click wheel--all iPod features operate as if the case isn't even on! It's proven to be extremely protective without compromising the iPod's features.
Too much of a good thing.......2007-08-21
When I first received this case, I was pretty impressed by it - thick, solid. But that turned out to be a problem.
The plastic is so thick, that it prevents you from properly using the click wheel. Whenever I tried to press the Play button, the case forced by finger to end up pressing the center button. I kept having to try to wedge my fingernail down to get the Play button to activate.
While this problem alone was enough for me to abandon this case, there are also two other more minor irritants: (1) the opening for the Hold button is so small, it's almost impossible to access it and (2) the case is a bit slippery.
I used this for two weeks to make sure my evaluation was appropriate - and then gave up on the case. A few small design changes would have been a vast improvement - like beveling the area around the click wheel. That's what the Speck SeeThru-Lucid case does - and that's the one I've gone with.
Nice Idea, Bad Execution.......2007-08-13
I was very excited to receive this case because it sounded like the perfect fit for my needs: good protection that would not limit the functionality or appearance of my ipod.
However perfect it may seem, this case has a few major flaws.
1.) ipod does not fit snuggly in case. There are a few millimeters of extra space between my ipod and the case so that the ipod is able to move up and down/side to side. I suspect that this will case some scratches to my ipod after a few weeks of use.
2.) Case inhibits use of non-apple branded accessories. The case leaves so little space around the headphone jack and docking port that only my apple earbuds and apple charger manage to connect correctly. This means I cannot listen to my ipod in the car without taking it completely out of the case... which makes this case pretty much pointless for me. I am also forced to use the apple earbuds which are too big for my ears.
3.) Case is made of poor quality plastic. Within two days of barely even touching the case it has gotten several deep scratches that will not buff out. The hinges that hold the whole case together seem to be held on by the tiniest piece of plastic imaginable and I would not be surprised if they give out within the first week of use.
I would not buy this case again, and, at 16 Bucks, would say that this is almost a complete waste of money.
Unless you plan to keep your ipod on a shelf and never touch it or try to use it (in which case... why would you even need a case?), I suggest that you look for something else and do not waste your time and money on this piece.

I wanted a case for my iPod that would protect it but that wasn't bulky, sticky, or tacky. This one is perfect! It doesn't look like a case. It makes my black iPod look like a pink iPod. It also allows me to keep my iPod in my purse without worrying about it being scratched or damaged. All the buttons are fully accessable and the whole iPod is proteced (the screen and wheel included!). This is the perfect case. I'm so glad I bought it.

If you're using with an iTrip, beware........2007-09-21
I read many reviews on many different cases before settling on this one for my 80gb iPod. Right out of the box it's pretty cool. I like that it's fully enclosed so as to keep the screen from getting scratched up. I had to kind of tweak the back piece a little in order to get it on, but the front popped on with no issue. However, when I tried to remove the back piece again I found it was a bit of a struggle. It got to the point that I considered calling in the jaws of life, but I think my threats of violence frightened it into submission and I was finally able to pry it loose. I had to kind of pull the sides apart and push on the iPod from the back side to get it back out. Oh well...it won't be much of an issue because there is easy access to the headphone jack, hold button and dock, right? *buzzer* Wrong sir, wrong! Actually, the headphone jack and hold switch are easy enough to get to, but the opening on the bottom for the dock connector is not nearly long enough to accommodate my Griffin iTrip. I can get it to sit in there, but not enough to where it's useable. #%)(&&~*%~%^ So it looks like I'm going to have to take off the (hard-to-remove) backing every time I want to listen to it in the car, which for me is every day. And I can already tell that will be a pain in the neck. The jury is still out on whether or not I will continue to use this or just return it. (I am glad I decided to wait on the second color I almost bought.) Overall, not a bad purchase if you want something with full coverage, but bad if you use the iTrip.

I love the look and protection of this case. Look: great colors and really fits with the ipod - there isn't any problem seeing the necessary parts of the ipod (like the screen) which I've seen obscured by other cases. Protection: I wish I'd had this case from the very beginning. My previous cases required taking the iPod out a lot more than this one ever will (it works with all my accessories (car transmitter, headphones & stereo) - so it got scratched up quite a bit. So the screen's unfortunate from that, but this case I'm sure would have protected the screen better than any of the stick on clear screen covers. Overall: Love It!

I've owned a few cases for iPods, and this is my favorite. It is the best looking, most protective (it even covers the wheel), and has no limitations in regards to usability (all of the accessories I use work fine with it on). Why not 5 stars? Well, it's designed to accommodate the larger (60GB and 80GB models) and slimmer 30GB model, and as such it is bulkier than necessary for most folks (worry not though, 30GB iPods are securely encased and do not rattle or move at all within it). For owners of 60GB or 80GB iPods, it's definitively a 5 star product.

I have had many cases (and many ipods) and this case is by far my favorite. My boyfriend has the model before this one (without the clear plastic on the click wheel) and I like this case much more than his. It's very sturdy and keeps my ipod nice and protected.

I had been looking for the right case for ages. When i found this one I thought great. I live in the UK, so when I was going on holiday to the US I decided to order it. It arrived on time, it looked perfect. I opened it and tried to put my nano g2 inside it, only to discover it didn't fit.

This product arrived packaged so you can see the cool metal sheen and it looked great when I put it on. However, the case prevents the ear phone plug from fully engaging resulting in the music cutting out. The case isn't molded well to the shape of the ipod such that it pops off if you put any pressure on the top or bottom (like when it's in your pocket). I took it off and have not used it since the first day... essentially a waste of my $18.

How can you manufacture a product where the headphone hole on the case is only large enough for Apple's and Belkin's headphones? Customers should not have to drill the hole to make it larger. Otherwise, this case would get 5 stars. What a disappointment...

I was a bit surprised by all the negative comments. I bought one of these with my iPhone in June and generally like it. For the first week or so the case was difficult to snap together, but it has gotten smoother over time. It makes it easier to grab and hold the iPhone, protects it if it falls (obviously, not if you drop it from a great height), and the easel feature makes it very convenient to view the screen and browse email while sitting at a cafe table and drinking coffee.
Several people said the case had scratched the finish of the iPhone. I checked mine, and there's not a single scratch or scrape.
My one complaint about the case is that you have to remove it to put the iPhone in the charger dock.
Miserable garbage - Ruins iPhone!.......2007-09-20
I bought this case from my local AT&T store on the day the iPhone came out. My phone's finish has been destroyed by this miserable case despite never having been dropped or mistreated. I've only carried it in a pocket with no other foreign objects.
The back, sides, and bezel are all scratched horribly and dotted with deep pockmarks. Avoid this case like the plague. This is the first 1 star review I have ever given.

I purchased the Belkin Acrylic Case for my new iPhone, and in the first two days, it slipped off my belt and fell to the floor, and then, on another occasion, came apart, and sent my phone sailing to the ground.
I would definitely not recommend this product.

Got mine from AT&T and returning it. The case makes your iPhone dock useless. The plastic seems brittle and it has undid itself a couple of times. Luckily, my iPhone did not fall off. The clip is only for belts and will not clip onto gartered clothing very well since it is not spring loaded. Since the clip also serves as a stand, your belt will go behind the clip until you get used to it. Definitely a recipe for disaster.

This case does everything you need it to do. The entire screen and click wheel are protected, it's easy to remove and install and it doesn't add much size or weight to the ipod. If you need to clip to your belt however, this is not the case for you. Highly recommended!

The iPod fit well in this case, however, my fm transmitter did not work but my transmitter need to be very close to the i[od, so I don't thnk it will work with any casr. My car jack also would not fit, the hole in the case was to small, the ear phone jack fit, but the car jack was slightly larger diameter. So overall the case is a nice idea, but has very limited use.
