Broken...again!.......2007-03-23

As others have reviewed my unit's TV screen went blank just a couple weeks out of warranty. Sent it to Audiovox and was charged for repair. One year later the screen has broken again.
Very poor quality for what we paid. Horrible warranty.
Would not recommend this. Go for the Sony!

Huge disappointment.......2005-12-22

I have had nothing but issues with this product. The screen displays is washed out and the adjustment controls are too limited to fix this. The DVD player constantly skips. The radio antenna is a waste of time. It doesn't pick up anything but the strongest signals and even then with some static. I was leary of an Audiovox product, but wanted the larger screen. My opinion is to forget the extra inch and get the Sony.

This TV broke in the first two weeks I owned it. Both the picture and audio would not work. I brought it to a local repair shop that could not fix it - I called the company and was just outside of their 90 day warranty and they did nothing for me.

I would never buy from them again.

Unit failed at 4 months.......2005-11-09

I like the picture and size of the unit. The sound is a little tinny. Biggest problem is short warranty period. My unit failed after 4 months of occassional use and Audiovox said "too bad it is out of warranty." Maybe they know there is a problem and do not or cannot fix. 90 days for a $400 TV is way too short.

Great TV/DVD/CD.......2005-11-06

I really do like this TV/DVD/CD, but I was disappointed with the radio. Maybe the location of the unit is not optinimal, but I don't get very many stations in good, most have static. I do live on Long Island, not too far from the city, so there are alot of radio stations, and I can usually pick up many without static, but not on this unit. The TV works perfectly, so does the DVD and CD. Its very easy to use. The picture is fantastic, and the TV screen swivels in any direction, which is really nice. The screen is also a nice size, easy to see from anywhere in my kitchen. The only other thing that's a pain is the screen's locked postion faces the counter rather than facing up so it's harder to keep clean. But overall, I really am happy with the TV and I do recommeded it.

I copy Video DVDs that I have created and CDs, both audio and data, at top speeds and get great copies. A DVD with a full 4.7 GBs copies in about 15 minutes. Speeds are selectable. I can even compile custom audio CDs right on the machine without having to go to a computer. Great Product

This is IMHO the most solid of all Socket A MoBo's. I have had zero issues with this MoBo, it has run my XP 2600+ flawlessly.

NF7-S Rev 2.0.......2005-10-19

Well i wanted to upgrade my computer but in doing that i fig'd i'd use my old computer parts to build a new computer also (i bought a 3200+, used my 2500+ to build another computer). [...]it was a POS so i RMA'd it. So i researched what was the best Socket A mobo out there, the NF7-S v.2.0 came up a lot (and the Lan Party Ultra II or something like that also). So i ordered a NF7-S2 (oops) from another place, that mobo was DOA (so i cant tell you how good it was, but some reviews said its BIOS sucks... ah hem). So i learned that the NF7-S v.2.0 is also called the NF7-S Rev.2 so i searched for that and low and behold Amazon of all places had it, so i ordered it (and RMA'd the DOA NF7-S2) and got it today, i think i got lucky cause WinXP was installed w/ a ASUS A7N8X-E which has the same chipset, so i didnt even have to reinstall windows (or can boot in safe mode and hopefully bypass the whole reinstall thing). My cpu (2500+) ran at 45-55C. My 3200+ is running at 39C right now on this mobo. So setting aside all my ranting, this mobo is everything i expected and probley more (havent got into O.C. my 3200+ yet). If they get it in stock again, and you need a Socket A mobo, this is the one for you.

The one i ordered is also indeed version 2.0 and it arrived in 3 days even though i didn't pay for expedited shipping. Really, you can't get better than that.

The one I bought from Amazon is indeed Ver.2.0 and capable of supporting 400 FSB cpu's. I have a AMD Athlon 2800+ cpu (333FSB) running with 512 MB crucial 2700 ram (2 X 256). This combo works! This MoBo has a lot of expand abilities that set it apart from some of the comparable priced units. Features such as 5 PCI slots, three slots for DIMM RAM (up to 3 Gig!), AGP slot (gotta have 8.0) gives plenty of room for expansion. Excellent on board sound too. Onboard LAN also! I think, for the money, this is the best MoBo available today (that's why I bought it).

In reply to previous reviews, Amazon does not state that this is revision 2.0, nor does it state that this board actually supports 400FSB - They merely copied data from Abit, and you can not tell what revision they are selling.

Easy installation - great value.......2007-03-19

I have found this product to be a great value. The price is very good, especially considering it saved me from purchasing a 4pin to 6pin "firewire" cable separately ($>10 savings). It installed more easily than I anticipated; probably took all of 5 minutes.

Doesn't work in FreeBSD 6.2.......2007-01-31

System starts to boot and finds the device, and all ports, then says "fwohci0: unrecoverable error"

It's not listed on the HCL, and therefore is not supported.

...to really take advandage of this. Installation was super easy, although I ran into the TI thing like another reviewer. Oh well. Not much more I can say about this product; it works and that's all that really matters.

1/5/07 Update - I finally got a DVD burner for my computer and upgraded my OS to XP pro at the same time. Now I get much more use from this product and it has been performing flawlessly. No driver install was required with XP and it recognized my camera without any glitches.

Does not recognize my sony camcorder.......2004-07-30

I purchased this card based on the positive reviews here. However, my sony camcoder (TRV20) was not detected. I'm seeking technical support now. After I get their reply I will update this review. I use Windows XP pro.

Although this is a good card (according to reviews), it may not work for certain camcorders.

Could it get any easier?.......2004-05-08

I was able to install the card with minimal effort or difficulty. The whole process was actually easier than I thought it would be. Within about 30 minutes of opening the package I had read the installation paperwork, installed the card, and had begun capturing video from my DV camcorder. The accompanying video editing software was also easily installed and useful as an application for novice editors. I installed it into a Dell Dimension 4600 running Windows XP Pro and my camcorder is a Canon Optura 20 if that makes any difference.
