Very disappointed in this device as it's compact dimensions and versatility were unmatched by the other products out there. Immediatly out of the box the IM600 caused our Ipod to skip. We found that other customers experienced the same issue as well as the item damaging their Ipod. I am unsure of whether we received a lemon/defective unit but either way, I would not recommend taking the chance with a $350 Ipod. We ended up with the Harman Kardon unit and couldn't be happier. Buyer BeWare.

If you have a newer model car with the 3.5mm input jack then this the perfect accessory. There is no need to fiddle with the volume control on the iPod, thus conserving battery power. Since it is using the line out on the iPod instead of headphone out the clarity is amazing! Can't beat it for the price.

This is perfect for linking your ipod to the auxilary jack in your fairly new car. The kids watch a movie on the ipod and get awesome sound with no clicks, hum, or interference. I've been using it nearly every day for several months to listen to podcasts and so far I've had no problems attaching the cable and removing it.

This cable is the same price as a lower quality 3.5 mm to 3.5 mm cable that would be used with the headphone jack, except the sound quality from the dock cable is much better. This cable creates a line level connection between the Ipod and whatever you're using it with, so the volume is preset for optimal sound quality. Less hiss and static, and the bass response is much better than the normal headphone cable deal. For the price and quality, this is the only way to go.

I bought this cable because the headphone Jack on my iPod broke. I didn't want to take it to a repairman who may not know what to do, and I didn't want to replace it so soon. So I looked for any cheap alternative, and I came across this. I saw iPod dock connector to 3.5mm jack, and I thought that I could do something with that. So I run the 3.5mm jack into a female-to-female into headphones, and it works perfectly. The only downside is that it doesn't respond to the volume on your iPod, but a necessary sacrifice, and the preset volume is perfect. Not to loud and not to soft. Perfect.

recieved item in 4 days from order, easy set-up and playing tunes in 5 mins, unable to recieve radio reception as the head phone lead IS the aerial for radio there must be a way of getting over this problem, apart from that theres a really great sound from this system and it looks pretty cool too!!! and not to mention a really cheap price aswell!! good solid build quality being able to sinc the zune in the dock may be handy!! (once you buy the lead. )not forgetting the romote- its good but will not navigate aroud the zunes menus, will only select/play forward/backwards, volume-bass-treble adjustment

I plugged the iTalk into my iPod and pressed the iTalk button. I clicked record and spoke directly into the iTalk. When I connected the iPod to the computer it automatically uploaded my recording without me having to do anything. It was all so easy. 2 thumbs up.

As a simple voice recorder, it does a great job. I gave it four stars because you can hear when the hard disk spins during the recording but it's not bad. Plus I don't know if you could avoid that anyway. If you need a better quality recording, you can hook up whatever mic system you like to the 1/8th inch jack on the bottom. For the price, this does everything that I need. I use it for voice memos, recording a practice session with my guitar or capturing random audio wherever I may be. I recommend it.
The WORST product.......2007-09-10
I bought this to record lectures. I go to a medium sized university. I always sit in the front row and some of my professors even use microphones, but when I play back what I've recorded, I get a lot of ambient noise and the lecturer is barely audible even after I fix up the files as best as I can using Audacity. Even using an external microphone, all I get is noise. This product is worthless. Hopefully I'll be able to return it.

A nice microphone to use for recording class lectures but lacks speaker capability. Unlike it's predecessor that allows you to use it as a speaker for listening to your recordings, this one doesn't have it. I was dissapointed when I realized that this one doesn't have that feature.

The CTA Digital Sound Stage Speaker with Docking Station for iPod performs perfectly; so much so in fact I am buying another one for the bedroom upstairs. The sound quality is not that of a Bose yet is as good as any bedside radio/stereo I have owned. The best sound is obtained when you balance the sound from the iPod with that of the docking station. I'm actually listening to my Ipod on this device as I write this review and I have to say I have been pleased with it. I've owned it for about 7 months now and use it in my office at work. The sound quality is good for the setting and it can get fairly loud if I need it to. I wouldn't use this as my primary speakers anywhere, but they are great for a compact work setting or house setting where you know you will never need to crank the volume. Also, at the price, its definitely an affordable way to listen to your Ipod.
Cheap Knock-off.......2007-07-17
This is a knock-off of the JBL - On Stage II. I purchased this speaker to see if the 3 watts per channel would sound close to the smaller JBL On Stage Micro Portable (2 watts per channel) model. I compared it with the one my neighbor has and it does not come close. While it also accommodates other MP3 players, I was surprised to learn that it does not have batteries - rechargeable or regular. It's AC only and therefore not that portable. Since I only paid $28 for it, it's as good as anything in the less than $28 market. I returned it the same day I got it ... and now I'm hoping that I get a prompt refund of my money.

I use this with Harmon Kardon AVR 247 and found it easy to install and simple to use. The Bridge takes advantage of the AVR 247 to display the name of the artist and title of the song. Also, the Bridget conveniently charges my iPod. Compact footprint of the Bridge allows flexibility to place the Bridge near the AVR 247.
Harmon Kardon "The Bridge" iPod dock.......2007-07-28
This is a great way to connect your iPod to your H/K receiver. Plus it's really cool looking, with its blue light underneath the base. But this unit has a drawback or two. I personally have The Bridge connected to an H/K AVR-445 receiver. I'm not bashing The Bridge here, but I've just learned a few things a prospective buyer might want to know.
When I was first researching a receiver, I was torn between Onkyo & H/K. What I discovered was that Onkyo's iPod dock was much more expensive, and there's a reason... it has the ability to connect video to the television (and maybe even all the song artwork- who knows), where The Bridge doesn't (at least there's no means of direct Bridge-to-TV connect-ability). I thought an S-Video connection between the Receiver & the TV would provide the artwork on the television, but alas, no such luck as far as I can tell. I'm going to verify all this with the H/K support team eventually.
Another thing that disappointed me was that when the iPod is docked in The Bridge, you can't control the iPod by hand. All navigation is done through the receiver (mainly via the remote). Once you get the hang of its remote control, all is well; but you must devote some time to learning exactly how to deal with the rather complicated (but capable) H/K remotes. In addition, if the iPod is separated from The Bridge and is playing (or paused on) a song, that you now want to hear on the stereo, docking the iPod into The Bridge reverts to the main menu & you lose your place, forcing you to re-navigate to the song again.
All in all, I'm glad I have it. I used to use a cable, adapting the iPod's 1/8" headphone jack into L/R RCA jacks to connect to the receiver. At least then, I could navigate the iPod by hand. On the other hand, it gave me no charging capacity & the iPod looked lousy just laying there on its back. In the end, Harmon Kardon should have addressed these issues during its development (they seem like obvious "wants" for most people), but if you have an H/K receiver and are remote control-savvy, it's a must for your iPod!

I connected The Bridge to the AVR745 and I find it easy to use with the TC30 remote control. All necessary information appears on the AVR745 display, no need to switch on the TV. If you recorded your tunes using a higher quality setting, the sound is very good. The AVR745 even has a setting for automatic switch on when the iPod is inserted in the cradle.

Great speakers.......2007-09-09
I bought these speakers for a cruise I went on not sure about power supply on a cruise ship. (it turned out to be 110 VAC) But the im5 came with everything but a backup generator. It has several adaptors for different voltages as well as battery power (which lasted longer than I expected) and oh yeah, great sound. The only thing missing is a remote. But it is a nice little package and very portable. I'm planning a trip to europe next year and the im5 will be there. It sounds good in my office too.

I use this product at work. Everything about it is wonderful except 1 thing. When you first turn on the speakers it is very loud. So loud in fact that co-workers give me dirty looks. It does not matter what the volume is when you turned it off last or if you push the volume down bottom before turning it on. No matter what I have done it does not work it is always blasting loud. It is hard to tun down anyway so when your franticly pushing the down botton and it does no good, well I just want to hide. I would not have purchased this item if I had known.

Just got this yesterday - it's compact and cute and easy to operate. Great (amazing) sound. Very happy with it. International plugs only work with this unit - various formats slide onto unit. Travel bag is hgh quality and with all kinds of pockets for different plugs, ipod converters. Highly recommend!

I purchased this and am quite pleased with it. I would give it 5 stars but the remote is REALLY chintzy and has no way to get back to the menu from the remote (on the Sansa e280 you push the power button once and let go to return to the menu...it doesn't work to try that with the remote power button). It is otherwise very nice and is black and glossy and matches the Sansa e280 perfectly.

I'm not the kind to leave a review, and I'm not a fan of Audio Source; however, I felt compelled to sing the praises of this little unit. It's the perfect travel speaker - a little larger than a glasses case, no wiring to pack, great sound, plenty of volume, a built in audio plug, and a self-contained case that protects the speakers during travel.
If your looking for simplicity (business trips already require packing too much gear) this is for you. Just throw in in your luggage, plug into your mp3 player in the hotel room, and adjust the volume. I like being able to carry it into the lavatory while I'm showering, etc. in the morning, since it takes up so little space.
At $25 - 27 (including shipping!) you cannot go wrong with this product.

This is really an owesome little speaker. Sound is great. I don't only use it with my MP3 player but with my laptop as well. I'm enjoying my music from both source. Plus with all the extra cables included, it's really a steal for the price. I agree with the previous reviewer, there is an issue with the battery compartment cover but it's not a big deal for me. What counts is that I enjoy my music playing in this little speaker.

The Audio Source DB5 speakers are a great little pair of speakers that have good sound quality and are easy to travel with. The only problem I had was getting the battery cover off. After ten minutes of trying I finally had to use a screw driver to get it open.

This is a perfect portable stereo speaker for ipods, mp3 players or portable DVD players. I used it all week and never had to change the batteries. Has a great sound and good volume for its size. Neatly folds away for storage. Highly recommend.

Onkyo IPod Dock.......2007-09-06
The Ipod Dock has been great. I hooked it up to my Onkyo sr605 receiver, and it makes listening to the IPod selection of music easy. Installation was simple, and it works through all of the normal menus, etc. You can choose any input on the receiver, and use as the dock instead. I am distributing through whole home audio as well with no issues. It is also nice bc i can go back and forth b/w multiple ipods and they all drop right in the dock.
Weak Video Interface.......2007-08-31
I was pretty geeked when I read about the product and ordered the new Onkyo Receiver (TX-SR605) to go with this. The receiver gets deservedly great reviews, but this product is scrap. Setting it up is easy (3 plugs), but the remote is a step back in time from the ipod remote. On screen display of song lists, titles, etc. looks like it came from an old Commodore home computer. The display takes up maybe 1/4 of the TV screen, so if you have long lists, you really can't scroll through rapidly. With tousands of songs, it's impossible to get to the end of a list. I believe the Mac Ipod A dock supports the scroll-wheel functionality - this has nothing, but a very slow remote.
Where the product is really poor is video. I was excited that I could download movies into itune, load them on the ipod, plug it into the dock and away we go. Unfortunately, it isn't that easy. First off, you have to essentially do the reverse in terms of menu options from displaying song information. Second, you can't view the video and photo menus on the TV screen - so you have to scroll and select on the ipod itself (although you can scroll and select music by looking @ TV screen) using the Onkyo remote. I'm still lost as to that feature/function.
Probably my own missed expectation, but I was really hoping for a good UI to allow me to sit back with remote, thumb through a playlist and play tunes, go bck to main menu and select a video or watch a slide show of photos. For video/photo - the remote is useless since you have to switch it out of the mode that interfaces with TV, for audio, because you can't scroll easily through lists, it's pretty useless as well. But at least I can play tunes and video through my new receiver.
