Easiest To Work With.......2006-04-22

I have tried several brands of CD and DVD Labels - Memorex, Avery, etc., and the Fellowes labels are by far the best in terms of quality and ease of use. These labels don't curl up and make it difficult to apply to a CD or DVD, and they hold a print pretty well over time.

I particularly found the Avery labels horrible to work with - they had seams in the label from manufactured cuts in the backing that 1) made them hard to peel from the backing, and 2) left the prints on the labels with visible lines running through the print.

I was burning up alot of time and gas buying the 100-count of Fellowes Neato Matte CD/DVD Labels when I learned about the 300-count package size. What a big savings on the 300-count, I saved 40% and no more running around. The only thing better is the 500-count.

They look great at normal print setting. No smearing. Have only had them bubble under VERY hot conditions. Great deal. Just remember to store them flat or the edges will be curled up by the time you go thru all 300 of them.

My husband and I have our own home video business and therefore use these DVD labels on a regular basis. We noticed in the last month or two that Our granphics were not lining up. At first we thought we might need to recalibrate our printer, which we did...put still the images were the same...strange thing..the first label would line up just about right but the second one was way off...

It then dawned on us that we were also having problems printing labels when we used our other station...our laptop. It become obvious to us that it wasnt our printer, but the labels themselves. Needless to say we were very dissatisfied with this product.

It seems to me that these labels are much thinner than those sold in smaller packages. They curl quite a bit more when removing them from the sheet and, at least those in the package I got, don't seem to have quite as much sticking power.

They are OK but I don't think I'd buy this packaging again.

I have used these labels for years. Office supply stores in my area no longer carry Fellowes products so I had to order them online. I am very pleased with finding a 500 pack. It's cheaper and will last me for awhile. Thanks Amazon!!

I print about a thousand promo CDs a year for my band. I print full color labels on a Xerox Phaser laser printer. The labels look great and attach securely to the CDs. You definitely want to keep unprinted labels lying flat or they will curl.

Matte Labels From Neato are Good Quality and Easy To Use.......2007-03-19

Neato perhaps makes the best labels for CD/DVD's. I have used Memorex and Neato, and Neato is the easiest to use. Please know that you need to buy the Neato software program first before you will be able to print your own custom labels. The software program is easy to install and I have never ran into any problems with it whatsoever.

This pack of 40 labels is in Matte finish. This is an average quality CD label. Neato makes better quality (glossy photo paper) labels, but you pay extra for them (about 63 cents a label). Matte labels will not show the color as clear and as brilliantly as the photo paper, but will suffice for most needs. Unless you need your labels to look their very best, the Matte finish is way to go; cheaper price per label, yet good quality.

I tried other labels and found the Neato labels are thicker and therefore less likely to bind and crinkle when you apply to a CD/DVD. The spine labels are useful too for giving a professional look to the cases. A good first purchase is the Neato kit that includes the stomper for attaching labels to the CD and software that I've found intuitive and stable.

I have used other brand name labels and find this one to be the best so far. Good quality...perfect thickness, stick well, no smudges or smears. They work well with my CD burning program. I didn't have to buy another program in order to use these labels. (As someone else stated in another review.)

I wasn't aware when I ordered this that I would also need more and should have ordered the kit.
As far as the label material and the way it looks after printing onto the label, it looks great....but wish I would have know to order the whole kit.

I must say I have had few problems with the "Fellowes NEATO CD/DVD Labels." I haven't used many different types of lables so my 4 stars could be based on ignorance. Basically they do what they say they do: You burn a CD, you print a picture on the lable, and then you put the lable on the CD. (My favorites include pictures of national parks, fantasy style battles/dragons, and various other scenery.) I haven't had them cause a CD to not work. Good product. Good price.

Neato makes the best CD/DVD labels on the market. This product is their best label in that it prints glossy photo-quality labels that look sharp, have brilliant color properties, and are long-lasting. The software that you need to print these labels is included in the kit.

Neato also makes Matte finish CD labels, but these do not have the visual appeal of the glossy photo finish labels. If you want the best looking CD label, this is the product to buy. If you don't require the best quality visuals, then matte finish will suffice.

The Best...........2007-01-01

These labels are wonderful. Not only do they go on smoothly, but they have passed the South Florida sun test with absolutly no fade. If you have ever used Memorex labels, these will really blow your socks off!

Another plus of Neato lables are the templates they provide for major graphics software like Adobe and Corel. You can really customize them for a very professional look far beyond what you can with those programs that come with other labels.

I print mine with a Canon i9900 ink jet set to Glossy Photo Paper and Best settings.

Best CREATIVE software and materials out there.......2006-10-14

I've been using NEATO and the 'MediaFace' software for years. I LOVE the ability to calibrate the output so I can create 2 sided CD booklets that line up perfectly! Sure you have to do a little test printing but that's what gives YOU the control. This is definitely not for the Dumb and Dumber set. If you want software and label materials that are 'designed with your mind in mind' and don't want creative control, then this is not for you. I use it for CD booklets, CD labels, and jewel case inserts all on glossy paper and folks think the results are professionally done. If you don't want to put in the effort, the get something else. But if you like the freedom to express your creativity, this will give you the room you need.

No where near as easy to use as my old system ,But with trial and error can have a decent amount of control over your Projects.But one interesting thing someone mentioned earlier
is that regardless of with system you use these labels can alter
the way DVDs play making them stick and freeze and wondering if its the disks,burner or what..after some experimenting I did
confirm that it was actually the labels I was having so much fun making...It might be the weight but i think its possibly the way the beam shines through the disc and reflects off the white label backing..Dunno but if you all of a sudden start having problems go back to the "Sharpie" like I did ;-)

Better Than Memorex System.......2004-06-30

Calibration software is a little confusing and they will curl in your car player after a while (heat) as all labels do. Otherwise, the capabilities are very good, overall quite happy with it. I also bought a bunch of the Memorex labels which are decent quality but not all that satisfied - their software is useless.

Piece of Junk.......2004-03-01

This software is a mess. I bought it for the "fingerprint" capability which is suppossed to be abel to identify audio tracks and supply title and artist info. It is not good. It identified about 85% of the tracks I tried, but the information is supplied field by field. That is, track number, title, artist, duration, etc. are each supplied separately and have to be placed on the label separately, with minimal formatting options. Is some cases I couldn't even get them all on the label.
I would recommend that you look at other packages.

and I'm still happy! We initially had to get used to the software and the printer setup and yes, you do need some patience during the learning curve of this creative process - it's not the normal daily routine of most people. We never encountered any errors when creating the actual labels or printing them. We also have not had any problems upon using the labelled CDs or DVDs. We're happy with the product.
