This is a great controller. It's basically a regular PS2 controller. It's bulky like other wireless controllers. The D-Pad is a connected D-Pad but it's probably the best one because some controllers think you hit diagonal when you actually hit the right button.
Although the directions are in japanese, it's really easy to connect. Just plug in the transmitter and hit the power button on the controller. Also the controller has an automatic off setting I don't know how long the timer is because the intructions are in japanese but I think it's around 10 minutes of not hitting any buttons the controller turns off.
I'm going to get my brother one of these controllers for his PS2. So definately buy this controller

After now ordering three different wireless controllers this by far is the best option out there. The one by logitec sucks because the X button get stuck down and becomes useless. The one by Sony is chinsy and the left analog stick is nearly useless. If you are looking for a wireles controller this is the one!

This is a crazy controller.......2007-03-09
I dont know if im touching a botton that activates a function without being aware of it, but this controller starts working by itself all of sudden. im pitching in MLB 2006 The show and then when im watching the runner the pitcher starts throwing pitchings fast...i dont know why this happen because it starts normally and when i reach the 5th inning it becomes crazy,,taking the command of the game itself.....since the manual is in japanese i can't help but trust my instints.....bad choice.

Sorry, but I don't agree!.......2006-09-19
I bought mine for $215.00 almost 4 years ago, and it still works GREAT! I was a long-haul truck driver, and I needed something that didn't take up too much space. I used it on my truck for 2 years, and it worked well even when the truck was moving (CDs, you know). I especially like the fact that.it will play PAL as well as NTSC DVDs. I'm home now, and use it (still) as a backup machine. However I never used the battery, never even took it out of the box, so I can't testify as to it. I LOVE THIS MACHINE !!

Died after a few months at which time the battery only lasted an hour, not worth it.

Breaks Down -- Warranty No Good!.......2005-11-12
I agree with all the other comments about this product not lasting very long. Ours worked fine for about a year then suddenly stopped playing for no reason. I called customer service and was basically told I was out of luck!
Mine only lasted 7 months, they won't honor warranty!.......2005-08-11
Apex may be an inexpensive alternative for those of us on a small budget, but mine broke within 7 months and they won't honor the one year warranty. They said it would cost 215 dollars plus shipping and handling to repair a manufacturers default( the plastic just fell apart). Considering I only paid 100 dollars, I told them they were crazy. Then when I asked to speak to a supervisor they hung up on me. I guess it was great while it lasted.
