A gr8 Camera!.......2007-09-24

The Canon EOS 400D / Rebel XTi is a great entry-level digital SLR which improves on its predecessor in many respects. It has higher resolution without compromising noise levels, a wide variety of anti-dust features, a bigger screen which doubles-up for detailed shooting information, the AF system of its bigger brother and fast overall handling.
The only thing that's missing is a cheap lens bundle with Image Stabilisation. This will undoubtedly have potential buyers carefully weighing it up!
Owners of the original EOS 300D / Digital Rebel who avoided the 350D / XT will find it hard to resist the new 400D / XTi. Upgrading will get them a smaller and lighter body with much faster startup, along with a considerably higher resolution sensor, bigger screen, improved AF and anti-dust capabilities. They're all big step-ups and well worth making the move!!
I would recommend this camera for all amateur photographers like me!! :)

Very happy with this camera.......2007-09-22

I already have a Canon Elan IIe, but it's time to go digital. While looking into digital SLR's, I saw that this was the best bang for my buck. Tons of features and a great price. When you compare it to its competition, the Nikon D80, the price is a lot better. It seems that with Nikon, the price gets raised a bit due to its name. But that doesn't always mean its better. For my needs, this is great. It's good enough for a beginner and is more than enough camera if you decide to grow and get more into photography.

My only problem was when I got the camera, it seemed to underexpose pictures. I literally had to keep the exposure compensation up about a stop or so to get normal looking photos. I looked online and saw this was a big problem with a lot of people, so I returned the camera and had a new one sent. The new one is fine and works perfect. Unfortunately, when I called Canon they denied the problem even though it's all over the web on every forum and review. But hey, the new camera is fine....must have gotten one of the bad ones. Maybe they're working on it, who knows.

Also, the kit lens is just OK. It's a bit slow, but for the price I don't expect a 2.8 or 1.4. Maybe consider buying the body only and using the extra money for a better lens.

All in all, I'm happy with it!

A great little camera with a few shortcommings.......2007-09-25

I shoot primarily with digital SLRs, but there is always a time when you don't have your camera bag with you and there is a photo opportunity. Camera phones just don't cut the cake for this (yet). For the last four years, I used a Powershot S230, and it filled that purpose wonderfully but the 3" screen on the SD750 called me in like the Sirens of mythology. In general, I have been very satisfied with the SD750, but there have been a few items I did not like.

Let me start with the positives: The 3" screen is bright and sharp. Everyone who sees the camera loves it. The face detection software works great. For taking photos of family and friends, this will be the point and shoot camera you will want to have. The price is reasonable. TIP: Don't compare cameras by simply the megapixel size! Two things create sharp photographs. The camera sensor, and the quality of the lens. With the Canon SD750, both of these are the best quality you can find in a small camera. The SD750 takes decent videos as well. The menu system is easy to navigate.

Now for the negatives: There is a price to pay for the large preview screen. Battery life is low. With five minutes of video, I was only able to shoot 200 still images before I had a low battery warning. You will want to invest in a spare battery. Digital zoom in the video mode is terrible. Be careful not to go beyond the 3x optical range when using this feature. As others have noted, the on/off button is small and recessed and requires a fingernail to operate. Results with this camera have been inconsistent. While I have taken some nice portraits, some shots have demonstrated a tendency towards soft focus. I have the silver model. Some reviewers have said that this is not the case with the black model, so you may want to stick with that. There is no image stabilization on this camera. If you don't have a steady hand, you may want to get a camera that has that feature.

Great Camera.......2007-09-23

The Canon SD750 is one of the best cameras around. Great quality in a compact camera. I love how the package came complete with a charger, usb cable, video cable, and even a 32mb card(although I will probably upgrade to a at least a 2gb). It has a lot of features, including color accent, which is my favorite. The tilt screen is very innovative. The 3" screen is nice to have. I'd absolutely recommend this camera to anyone searching for a point-and-shoot camera between $200-300 price range. I used to have a exilim s500, and although the style of the exilim cameras are sleek, they do not offer the performance of a Canon.

Lots of functionality yet easy to use. Survived a drop on the rocks already. This camera rules; you won't be sorry. You will however be sorry if you select Amazon free shipping. Took almost 3 weeks to get the camera, which was in stock. Lame Amazon, lame. Should have paid the extra 20 bucks and bought it locally.

Pros and Cons. .......2007-09-19

Ergonomics are simple, and well designed. The side button pushes up or down like a toggle switch, and pressing the dial in toward the unit allow you to change between dx and lx modes in efforts to improve reception or sound quality respectively.

Its actual performance however, is average, as I found that in many places it is difficult to find a decent clear radio station. I am not sure if it is the unit, or if it is just my particular unit as I purchased it used even though it claimed to be new. It seems to have a steady performance though, as near my house for example and particularly in my driveway, I can't get any signal, and then its extremely clear when I am about 30 yards away.

If you can deal with a few spots of "white noise", I recommend it for an easy wireless solution. Wired decks or units will always be better though. Ease of use is its compromise.

I use this on my 80g iPod quite often. It records clearly and is easy to use. I love being able to record important conversations or events for my own private use. My kids love singing into it and listening to themselves. It automatically takes the recordings into iTunes. Love it. Worth the money.

I bought one of these gizmos on the basis of Belkin's inclusion of this product in the list of those compatible with the new iPod classic.

The recording and external-power functions work. Nothing else does. The button and LED don't work and it won't sync through the Mini USB connector.

It shouldn't be difficult for Belkin to fix this problem, but for now, don't buy this item for use with an iPod classic.

This microphone attachment for the iPod video exceeded my expectations in the sound quality of the recording. I've heard recordings from other such devices, and figured this would be just as noisy and tinny. I was very pleasantly surprised to hear recordings worthy of a studio microphone.

Of course, I have a white iPod, and this only comes in black. C'est la vie.

A downside of the iPod and not the microphone, is that the recordings are made uncompressed, which takes a lot of space on the hard drive, and a lot of power to play back. (It also takes a lot of power to record, but there's not a lot Apple could do about that.) What you need to do is sync them back the iTunes, compress them there (I use AAC 256 kbps), delete the uncompressed versions, and sync back.

Pleasant surprise!!!.......2007-08-13

I purchased this item because I was tired of using my old, hand held cassette recorder. Just returned from a trip to Irland where I was able to capture friends and relatives singing traditional songs in an informal setting. I simply held the unit in the general direction of the vocalist and...voila!!! The sound quality was outstanding!!! Upon playback, it sounds very similar to cd quality sound.
My regret is that even w/ a fully charger iPod, you get approx. 30-45 mins. of record time. Would love to see a model that allowed you to plug in a Griffin 'Tune Juice' attachment for additional playing time.
Oh well...........maybe some day. In the meantime, check it out...........it's worth the investment.

The primary purpose of the Samsung YP-T9JQB is, of course, to play music, for which this audio player is well equipped. Compatible with MP3, WMA, and protected WMA DRM (digital rights management) 10 audio formats, the T9 features DNSe (digital natural sound engine) technology for a clear, full sound, and a 9-band customizable EQ with 11 preset modes for all types of musical preferences. This unit supports playlists, as well as an internal favorites list that acts as an on-the-go playlist, and is subscription service compatible (Janus DRM). All the regular modes of playback are included, such as repeat, repeat one, shuffle, and normal, but this unit also includes a variable playback speed setting that speeds-up or slows-down your music from 3x to -3x the recorded speed. Furthermore, to protect your sensitive hearing Samsung's T9 series has an option to limit the audio output level so you don't accidentally damage your ears due to uneven recording volumes.

Unlike many MP3 players, the YP-T9JQB doesn't just limit you to the music you already have. The built-in FM tuner will scan the entire FM range in under 60 seconds, and automatically place the available FM stations in to presets. To eliminate stations with marginal reception, users can adjust the sensitivity to only preset stations with a strong reception. What's more, the T9 will actually let you record directly from FM in MP3 format for playback later, even allowing you to select recording quality ranging from 96 to 192 kbps. And since this unit has a built-in microphone as well, you can also choose to record live sound or your own audio notes, also in MP3 format ranging from 32 to 128 kbps in quality, so you never need to miss a lecture or catch every word of a presentation again.

More than just a music player, the Samsung YP-T9JQB supports the playback of video in the MPEG4 file format, with a video resolution of 208 x 176 pixels at a frame rate of 15 fps. This unit even comes with Samsung's Multimedia Software that transcodes the video on your computer before transferring it to your multimedia player so the files on your T9 play at an optimal frame size and rate with minimal effort on your part. This unit supports 16 different languages for your menu view, and 32 different languages for ID3 tag information. The T9 allows you to choose between five different menu colors, even allowing you to shuffle colors at random so you get a different one every time you turn the unit on. The Samsung YP-T9JQB comes with two gigabytes of internal flash memory for storing up to 500 songs at 128 kbps, up to 20,000 JPEG photos, or up to 138 hours of audio recordings at 32 kbps. This unit has a built-in, rechargeable lithium-ion polymer battery with a capacity of 740 mAh that allows up to 30 hours of audio play time, or up to six hours of video play time. The Samsung T9 has a 20 mWatts per-channel output, and includes a USB 2.0 connector for interfacing with your PC, as well as a 24-pin UART (universal asynchronous receiver-transmitter) chip and 3.5mm earphone out connector. I mostly listen to podcasts and audiobooks. I was looking for a player that would be great for that and I found it. The T9 is about the same size as the ipod nano and has a feature which the ipod (as far as I know) does not - the ability to playback at various speeds. I know for music fans this is not a helpful feature, but there are also extensive sound options as well which the music lover would find helpful. Other features which are great are the bookmarking and accelerating fast forwarding

Video playback is pretty good as well as recorded voice and FM radio. The playlist program is also fairly simple to operate.

The only downsides I have found so far is that upon power up, the volume always resets itself to about 20 (out of 40)

Also, there are some user interface tweaks that would make things a bit more helpful.

All around a great alternative to Sansa and Ipod.

This thing beats sparks off an ipod. This unit does 3 times more than an ipod at 3 times less money. It has phenomenal battery life, a simple and easy to use menu and looks good too. My only complaint with the unit is that I can't get it to display album cover art during music play. If you take advantage of Amazons free shipping don't expect to receive it anytime soon, they won't ship for at least 5 days (i guess it's a punishment for not paying for shipping)

I was surprised at how much the Samsung YP-T9 has to offer. You can play more than just songs, it can hold videos, games, FM radio and you can even record voices or the radio too. I would definetly recommend this mp3 player to people who are looking for something nice, sleek and easy to manage.

Not that we have much choice. You buy the cartridge for the printer from the Mfg, period. Just choose the seller with the best price and service. Have been buying these two packs from you for years (and the printer!). Not the current purchase but the previous purchase, we noted that the clip on the side of the cartridge was broken, disabling it's ability to function in the printer. Calling Amazon Customer Service, we were quickly credited appropriately. No Problem, thank you.

If you really do not want to throw out your printer out every time it runs out of ink you cannot go wrong with this deal. The twin pack is a hair more than most dealers single packs, you have spare on hand, and you order half as often. Now if they had one for the color too, that would be perfect.

It seems like everyday, we are trting to find the best in inkjet cartridges these days. Although some are cheaper than others, like store brands, it is the quality that makes the difference. This 2 pack of HP 21 Black inkjet cartridges is easy to setup for your printer, and connects like a snap. These cartidges works very well with my printer.
