This is the best phone system I have owned. That said, it still has some short comings. One I haven't seen mentioned is that after months of use the screen gets cloudy from body oils from the face. I called Panasonic and they told me to wipe the screen with vegetable oil. This somewhat works. I have found by cutting a small piece of clear plastic the size of the screen and taping it on works the best. When it gets bad I just replace it. Caller ID doesn't always work, this may be phone company problem and not the phone. Also, the management of the phone messages and caller ID is rather cumbersome. But better than any of my older phones. I have now replaced all my phones in the house with phones of this system. Would buy again.

Good phone for the money.......2007-07-05

This is a good phone for the money. It has alot of futures and flexability. I bought the base unit with three headsets to start. Then I bought two cameras and three more handsets. The system can handle up to eight. The cameras are good but don't see anything in less light conditions. The handsets have good range but are lacking a belt clip. I would recommend this product.

This is a great phone. I like the fact that you can customize each phone. You can copy songs directly from you pc along with images and create a phone book on the computer and download to all handsets. This is a great phone with all the features we'll need for a long time. The only negative downside is there is no clip to hang it on you if you like walking around the house or office. Other than that, it's great.

For what I have used this lav mic so far, it has worked well and it was a really great deal. If you are filming an interview, the mic on the camera just won't do. This lav mic is the simple and cheap answer.

Good Microphone for the Money.......2007-08-09

I purchased this mic. in order to get better audio for my video podcasts. So far I have only done some test recording with it and my Canon Optura 30, but the results have been very good. The mic. dramatically cuts down on ambient noise and echo, and gives a fairly professional sound. Although Radio Shack sells a cheaper wired mic. it skimps on the cord length, so when you add in the cost of an extension to the cost of the mic. you actually end up spending more. I would highly recommend the product for anyone seeking an inexpensive lavalier mic.

Sometimes floor monitors are a problem. There isn't enough room for them onstage or someone sits in and can't hear the monitors or the drummer can't hear them well enough. Or perhaps it's a pick-up gig or a rehearsal and you didn't have enough time to set them up. In any case, sometimes it would be preferable just to put on headphones and somehow connect them to the PA. That's where a headphone tap comes in. This is a passive device with an input to connect the PA or monitor amplifier and an output to connect the headphones. A volume control regulates the headphone level and internal resistors keep the unit's impedance high enough to protect the headphones. It also protects the amplifier from encountering too low a load impedance while powering tap units, the speaker system or several tap units by themselves. The HeadTAP will also work with a stereo headphone amplifier for use in recording situations when you want to add headphones for additional performers.

I like the cd player. My old cd player really went through batteries this one is very good on batteries. I think the sound quality is there, but the pair of headphones that come with this unit is not to good. I went out and replaced them with a cheap Koss headphones which works great! Overall very much worth the money and I am glad I got them. I love the fact that my cdr's work on this as well.

DSL modem AKA GT701wg.......2006-09-17

This Actiontec GT701wg DSL modem wireless gateway works great on my Qwest DSL line. Please note; this model has one RJ44 Cat5 cable port and a USB port. The product description seemed to imply four ports and wireless.

My GT701wg feeds my wife's desktop, son's desktop, my laptop and PDA using 802.11G to the PC's and 802.11b to my Palm TX. The modem sits in my basement office and the other PCs are scattered on the main floor. I have not checked how far the wireless range.

The installation went quite easily. The modem has a filter in it to plug in the phone by the DSL modem. All other phones in the house required the filter dongle which I received four dongles and one filter plate from Qwest install kit. I returned the co-branded Qwest DSL modem while the warranty is carried by Actiontec instead of Qwest.

Getting the DSL modem from Amazon.com is cheaper that paying Qwest for the same modem.
