Great Camera with Huge LCD Monitor.......2007-01-08

I spent countless hours reading about compact cameras, and chose this one as it has a HUGE LCD screen; 2.7 inches, which is just fantastic. Other than that, it is laid out very logically and super easy to use. The buttons are a bit small, but the trade-off for such a large lcd screen is well worth it. It recyles very quickly; takes good photos, and I like the cradle and rechargeable lithium battery as well. Mine is refurbished and cost under $140!!! It is light enuf to hang from your neck with a lanyard, too. I am very very pleased.

Great Camera, durable and slim.......2006-12-22

I love the size, the pictures and the functions. Also it turned out to be quiet durable. We actually dropped this camera while on vacation and it still works like new.

Docking cradle stops working.......2006-08-26

I was fine with this camera until the docking cradle stopped working, essentially rendering the camera useless once the charge stopped. This conveniently happened 3 weeks before my baby is due, leaving me without a digital camera at a pretty important time. Casio customer service was NOT helpful - even though this appears to be a documented problem with this particular camera, I was still going to be forced to either shell out my own money for a new base (even though the camera is still under warranty) - or package the whole thing and send it off to California. Obviously not a great option because who knows how long it would be before the camera gets back to me in working order? I had an Olympus before we bought the Casio and after this experience we are going to purchase a new camera - one that does NOT come with a cradle (and not a Casio). If the customer service had been better we may not have come to this decision, but I don't want to be dependent on a company that has no flexibility whatsoever in their way of dealing with problems. My advice is to buy a camera that does not rely on a docking station... fewer parts that can break! Even though I was "lucky" mine quit while under warranty, I have seem other reviews online where it broke post-warranty and supposedly people had to pay $200 to fix it - more than the camera is worth at that point.

Best Digital Camera Ever.......2006-08-17

I purchased this camera about a year ago, prior to a trip to London. I'd had a Canon Powershot previously. This camera outdid itself! I didn't have to charge the battery during my four-day trip to London, taking over 500 pictures. The screen size is amazing, though difficult to see when outside and it's at all bright. The camera is very user friendly, easy to set up and so easy to use. Since then, several people have ditched their old digital cameras to buy one of these.

The zoom is great, and I love that it tells you when you're switching from optical to digital zoom.

Super small & compact with great pics!.......2006-08-11

I bought this camera refirbished to take with me on vacation. After searching online for almost 2 months, this was the camera that kept popping up that had all the features that I was looking for at a price that I could afford. It has gone to Virginia Beach, Virginia, and Sandusky, Ohio and it has performed wonderful! It survived the heat and sand of the beach, and the heat and whatnot of the roller coasters at Cedar Point amusement park. The videos are great and the sound is amazing...Colors are great and very very clear! And I absolutely adore all the features it has to offer! The retro and black and whites are awesome, as well as the rest of the shot options...I got a great one of some fireworks! I love this camera, it is so easy to use, takes great pics, and is worth the money!

HAPPY WITH THE EXTRA POWER.......2007-05-12

I am very pleased the performance of this equivalent product. It's as good as the EOM battery that come with the camera. I am using it in my new EX-Z1050 camera. It fits in my camera prefectly. The price was unbelievable. Great to have! Did not bust the budget!

Very difficult to remove from the Casio EX-Z750.......2005-06-12

Being much less expensive than the Casio brand batteries, this is a useful backup (the Casio battery lasts so long that one should rarely need a second). However, this battery is ever so slightly too large for the EX-Z750 (I haven't handled the other models with which it is supposed to compatible), making it hard to remove without using the edge of a credit card to gain some grip on it. Even then it wasn't easy. (The Casio battery just slides right out; this one moves maybe a millimeter out of its housing). I returned my EX-Z750 due to defects (see my review on the product page if you are considering this camera), so I cannot comment on the longevity of this battery. A brief outing with it (one that did not remotely tax its capabilities) revealed no problems.

Life savor.......2007-01-24

The charger was a life savor. My camera came with the original charger but it was misplaced around the house and then of course from using my camera so much the battery finally gave out. Which is when I had to purchase another one. This charger ended up being 10x better then the original one (which I found after I recieved this one). The charger has the capabilty of charging in the car and that's exactly what made it worth the buy. Great deal!

Wonderful Camera.......2004-06-26

If you are looking for an easy-to-use point and shoot camera this is a great one. I wanted a separate camera for my color pictures (I have my manuals for black and white) and this was the best value for the money. The LCD screen is easy to read and you can quickly switch functions (flash, date, focus) and the zoom lens was surprisingly sharp for such a small camera.
The camera loads very easily but the best feature so far has been the different timer options -- you can take 1,2,or 3 pictures in a row OR you can use the remote and point it directly at the camera after positioning yourself.
The only drawback is the viewfinder which is smaller than other cameras I have owned (Nikon/Pentax) but your eye will get used to it. I also recommend checking on ebay for this camera since you can get it new on a sharp discount.

Great little camera.......2004-05-31

I bought this little camera to replace a very old Cannon SureShot. I love this camera! It is sooo easy to use, very small and compact. I love the display on the back, everyone thinks it is digital. Takes pretty good pictures. Very good outdoor pictures, but indoor pictures were too dark and I had flash on, so I will work on that problem to see what I did wrong. I am an amature and I like easy point and shoot cameras that can fit in my pocket. But I highly recommend this camera. This was my first Fuji and I'm very pleased.

GREAT camera in small package!.......2003-03-20

This replaces an old Fuji Zoom I had purchased 6 years ago. The 1300 is 2/3's the size & weight of my old one. VERY compact; large LCD screen to tell you what your controls are set at; controls easy to use; Zoom really ZOOMS up close; pictures great like all the Fuji cameras I've owned. The menu select button is very easy to use - it works like a mouse pointer on a laptop. Menu items easy to select -- just two basic steps to remember.

Drawbacks for me are: viewfinder is on the small side & I worry about scratching the LCD screen (which has no protection on it). Definitely glad I made this purchase however! And try Ebay for good prices -- I got my brand new 1300 for [$$$]including S&H!!

The Best Fuji Camera I've Ever Owned.......2002-07-28

Fujifilm Zoom Date 1300 is one of the best compact camera I have ever owned. I've owned Fuji's other previous 35mm compact cameras such as the DL-90 and the 312 Zoom. The 1300 model is very compact and easy to use. It's so small that just by looking at it you'd guess it's an APS because of the small size. It has a large LCD screen on the back cover that shows you the functions. The Zoom lever is easy to control. The one aspect of this camera is that unlike the previous Fuji cameras that I've owned, the film counter starts at 1 and goes on up to the last frame. In the past, you'd simply drop in your film, close the cover and the film would roll up to the highest number of exposure and count down ex. 24, 23....1. This time it's the opposite way around. Overall, it is easy to use, light weight, and very small for it's size considering it uses a 35mm film. It's a great buy and you won't be disappointed.
