What's that axium...Looks good....??? This little work of art, is great looking. It's small. It's stainless & black. It's inexpensive....and so far...IT [STINKS]!! Not easy to use, the sound quality is poor, at best. You can't just delete msgs, yet those you want deleted can be left intact...and on and on. Too bad...THOUGHT I'd purchased a winner, instead I purchased a DOG!

We tried two of these and neither worked correctly--kept cutting callers off, sometimes would erase the outgoing message, and outgoing message quality was poor. Could not get it to delete or save individual messages. So frustrating.

Hard to use.......2002-12-26

I really don't like this answering machine. Although technically it's done everything it says it would there is no digital number reading how many messages you have - you just have to count the number of times the tiny little green dot blinks. You also have to hit "save" during the middle of hearing your message. If you don't - that message is gone for good. It's also difficult to save just one message. The default setting is to save all of them. I'm going to look for something else.

I found the unit to be everything that it was advertised to be. The set-up was easy and very self-explanatory.

Though the sound quality was not perfect, it was clear and acceptable. I, especially, like the remote options. Also, checking your messages is a breeze.

As I stated, the machine is a good value, and I would recommend it if you are looking for an inexpensive answering machine that is reliable and easy to use.

I have had this monitor (in beige) for 3 1/2 or 4 years. I thought it was great until about 2 and a half years after I got it. Which was when the lightboard went on it (screen was completely black as if it was turned off, but the power light on the monitor worked as if nothing was wrong). Luckly, I had a 3 year warranty on it. I sent it off to Acer and had it back quickly with a note telling what was wrong/what they fixed, and that the new lightboard only had a 90 day warranty. Sure enough, after about 5 months, the new lightboard went again. I still haven't sent it out to get fixed because it's more than I care to spend to get this monitor fixed, especially since there seems to be a good chance that it will just die again. So I'm saving my pennies for a new monitor. I will definatly buy from a different company before I buy another Acer product (also have had problems with hard drives dieing in my Travelmate Tablet PC from Acer). Buy the Service Plan is you want this monitor!!!

I had just bought a second computer to load linux on and was using a CRT. I have to say this monitor is definitally worth the money. It is so bright and so much clearer than my CRT. If I had more money I would buy one for my parents too. Only con is that it does not have DVI but I just went to radioshack and got an adapter.

I'm writing this as a non-techy. For the first couple of days I fiddled with the brightness becuae I found the factory settings were too high. It hurt my eyes. I found the controls non-user friendly and only mananged to turn the brightness down through trial and error.

nevertheless, I'm happy with the purchase. Colour is accurate and not overly sharp and I really like the size and weight of the monitor. I actually would have given it 3.5 if I could.

Great bang for the buck.......2006-01-18

I've had this laptop for about 4 months now and haven't had a single problem with it (other than a little self induced virus issue). It's quite hot. So don't leave it on your lap too long. But on a table, that won't matter. It handles DVD playback well. It burns DVDs well. The screen is huge and clear. It' s not quite bright enough for use in the sun, but I've never seen a laptop that was.

The only complaint I have is the memory. That's not a problem with the laptop persay. But 512 MB that comes standard just isn't enough for XP to run the applications that I usually run. If you typically have 10 or 15 instances of web browser and memory hogs like photoshop, dreamweaver, and office applications running while listening to streaming radio and downloading bit torrents, you too will need more.

Fortunately, acer seems to be putting in a single 512 stick allowing for easy expansion in the open slot.

Just compare all the features and specs on this one and you will see that it's a great value. I guess that's why acer is still charging the same price as 4 months ago!

I bought this from newegg for approx 1200. All I can say for 100GB HD, and the dual DVD burner this machine rocks!

Average battery life is about 3 hours. Which I think is not too bad for a 15.4 inch.

My friend has the bigger brother of this (Acer Ferrari 4000)

My laptop vs his on 3dmark 2005 I scored 100 points lower than his, (which is not a big deal, I think it's more of the processor speed than anything else since he has a 2.0ghz turion)

After a week have 1.5GB of DDR ram, this is a very very game worthy machine for 1200$ Battlefeild 2 used to stutter is 512mb of ram, it runs fine. WoW runs excellent, CS:source runs great!

For the simple function of giving light in different colors in a tight area, and being powered by usb its a pretty good item. I decided to get this instead of a new backlit keyboard. I have my keyboard on a pullout tray under the desk so i put the light right at the edge under the desk. Comes with adhesive pads so you can put itjust about anywhere the cord reaches from the usb port, and the power cord is a good length. Personally i think all these kinds of lights should be cheaper but the price wasnt too bad on this item.

These amps are great. A very good way to work your way up to 5.1, 7.1, or any configuration. Reliable, clean, and a front-panel volume to make balancing a system easy. I am an audio professional, and would recommend these to anyone who needs good sound to grow on (on a budget).

small and versatile but a little hard to use.......2006-11-10

These amps are small enough to hide anywhere and produce clean and loud sound. The ability to daisy chain them together saves power outlets. The lack of a remote means you have to find them and turn them on any time you want to use them. They have an auto on feature but I've never been able to make it work to my satisfaction.

Perfect Amp for my center channel.......2006-10-04

This Amp did not disappoint! Our main Dolby 5.1 audio system has one big drawback: the speakers are all mounted in the downstairs ceiling and my daughter's room is right above them so I can' run them after 7:00pm when she goes to sleep. Problem is, without a true center channel running, my wife and often have trouble picking up dialog from the weak built-in speakers of our 61" JVC HDTV.

The solution was a Midiland ADS 2000 DTS Decoder outputting just the center channel signal to a single AudioSource 5.1A Monoblock and a Polk Audio RM6902 speaker to supplement those weak built in speakers of the 61" JVC. Now we get to have our cake (i.e. hear the dialog clearly from the center channel) and eat it too (still hear the left and right channels where the music and other background sounds are). All without needing to fire up the main 5.1 dolby digital amp.

Best of all, I don't have to get up to turn the AudioSource Amp on: it just turns itself on when I turn on the power to the Midiland Decoder. I can even control the center channel volume with the Midiland remote. Needless to say, I'm a happy customer.

Now for the nitpicking: it sure would be nice if the product was offered in some sort of gray color in addition to black. I don't use enclosures so as to prevent overheating of my A/V components, so the black color of the Amp really stands out from all my other gray & silver devices. Also, the power LED is a bit too bright and calls too much attention to itself.

Nice small, versatile amp........2005-01-16

I use pairs of these in my conference rooms. They provide pleny of power, are small, support both balanced and unbalanced inputs, and the auto-power feature means I don't even have to touch them; when the audio source is turned off so do all the amps.

I recommend adding the EQ25.1 to tune the sound to your room.

AudioSource is well known for providing good value for the price and they don't dissapoint with their 5-series amps. There's nothing in its price-range that has similar quality.

The output isn't quite as rich a Bruce Moore 70, but at 1/20th the price, it's a great deal.
