I have had this phone for over three years and the only complaint that I have is that it does not have a jack for a headset. It has been dropped several times and still has great clarity and no dead areas in my house or within about 20 feet of the house. I hesitated buying this phone because the 2.4GHz phones were just coming out at the time, but I have no regrets now.

I've had this phone for a good 2+ years now. I've recently had to change the battery for the first time, so no big deal. I have another (older) Sony model cordless in another room which I'm looking to replace (and use as a paper-weight) - so, I'm going to just buy another one of these Uniden's because the clarity is so good. I especially like the Caller ID/Call Waiting features - I would say that my only complaint with this phone is that it only holds 10 phone numbers for auto-dial... I've got more friends than that! But, you can't beat the practicality and functionality for this price.

Great Phone, Excellent Clarity and Quality........2002-09-08

This is a great phone. No static or echo like some other phones. I had bought one, initially, with doubts, and found no problems at all, and then bought another of this same model for another room in the house. To the reviewer (Phone didn't work....at all!, January 18, 2002), did you let it charge up for hours like you were supposed to when you first plugged it in? Does not sound like it. That may explain why it did not work when you first plugged it in. I followed the initial handset charge up, and it has been great. Also, nice shaped handset is easy to hold and comfortable on the ear. Had both phones for probably 2 years now and still on the original factory battery in the handset. Another brand I had, the battery lasted less than a year!

I have only had this phone for less than a month, but I haven't experienced any of the bad things that some of the other reviews mention. The reception is very good - no static what so ever, and the range is great! This is the first 900MHz phone I've ever had so maybe I'm just not used to being able to walk around the whole house during a phone call, But I sure was suprised to be able to make calls from the back yard. Forget the negative comments! For the price, this phone is a great value!

Not bad for the price...........2001-06-05

Bought this for the cheap seats at a U2 concert, and I'm not disappointed. They are compact, fit nicely on my belt, and were not in the way while trying to cram out of the arena. Image was fairly bright considering the low light at the concert. The only time the image got fuzzy was when the music fan next to me lit up a huge joint. Field of view wasn't bad either.

The body construction is accurate and looks of good quality, the design is nice too. The opical quality is definetively not that of a Swarovsky (that I can compare directly), nor is the price anyhow. The resolution is pretty good only at the center of the field and degrates sensibly toward the edges that, on a flat subject, are not on focus with the center. If your subject occupies only the middle of the field (as in birdwatching, for istance) you might not notice this, otherwise is quite annoying. In spite of this my overall impression is rather positive, other binoculars of similar price that I could try weren't much better, perhaps more uniform but not as sharp in the center of the field.

Durable plastic waterproof case.....well almost too durable.........2006-12-30

I just received this case and was intending to use it on a cruise that I am taking for underwater photos so I wouldnt ruin my $$ camera. The plastic that it is made out of seems very durable but it is so thick and unmovable that my hands cannot adjust any of the controls on my camera. I just about fit the camera through the opening of the bag. There also is a lot of excess room in the bag (once you get it in) that the camera does not stay in place and you have to try to readjust it(which is almost impossible).
I have not yet tried to actually use this case for photo taking but I think that it is still going to be useful just to keep my camera dry while taking it to the beach and on ship excursions. I would recommend this bag to someone who wants to keep their digital camera dry but not for picture taking in the water.

I bought another pack from this company (BeltPac), and while I did test the pack as described in the instructions, the pack leaked when I used it in the sea, destroying my phone and my mp3 player. I contacted Aquapac, as they claim to have a warranty if the pack if used apropriately, but they refused to refund me the pack or the content that was destroyed (MP3 player + phone).

BEWARE WHEN YOU BUY ON OF THESE PACKS: EVEN IF YOU FOLLOW ALL THE INSTRUCTIONS, THE PACK MAY LEAK AND THE COMPANY WILL REFUSE TO REFUND YOU.
AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COST!

I bought the AquaPac based largely on the glowing reviews I read from all over the Internet but I was very disappointed. I tried it first with a Canon G6 and it barely fit; when it was securely in place and the camera was turned on the bag almost prevented the lens from extending. I tried pictures indoors with a flash, which produced an image of a large, white blob, then without the flash, which produced out of focus images. My G6 never properly focused while in the bag, so I tried my Minolta Dimage X60, which fit very well but gave the same results. I tried the bag with the X60 in bright sunlight and out of about 6 pictures only one was acceptable, but even it had a bluish haze. The other photos had a more pronounced haze and not a single one was in focus -- and this was in bright sunlight! I'm not sure what I can do now beyond paying nearly $200 for a camera-specific waterproof case, but the AquaPac is definitely not the solution.

Kept my camera clean and dry.......2006-03-04

I took the waterproof case on a cruise to the Bahamas and went snorkeling as one of the excursions. Everything worked as advertised. It is a little difficult to hold the camera so that it is always lined properly, but over-all it works. You can't see the LCD display very well while it is inside the bag, but considering the price, I'm very happy with the purchase.

I'm looking forward to using it again.

A great start to an awesome line of 35mm SLRs.......2004-12-28

When buying a SLR camera, you likely intend to purchase additional lenses and/or flashes to build a system (if not, maybe a point and shoot would be better). Canon has an awesome line of flashes, lenses, and other accessories for their bodies. Sadly they all add up to quite an expense, so buying a body at the lower end, such as this one, can allow you to spend more on lenses, which ultimately contribute much more to the final product (only your own abilities exceed them in impact). The difference between this body and some of Canon's higher end ones is minimal for most users (bodies costing 2-4 times as much are metal, sealed from the weather, and may focus quicker, but few really need any of this). This camera leaves few feautures out (especially when compared to competing brands' cameras in this price range), and you can build a wonderful system around it. If you ever do develop a need for a fancier model, you will have learned a whole lot from this body and will have a collection of lenses and flashes to continue to use.

I had my Cannon rebel G stolen on Chrismas, so for a replacement I have been Eying the new Cannon Ti. Every store I've looked at sells this model for $300, and up. It comes with the smaller 35-80mm Lens, and thats it. I was very happy with this package deal, because it came with a better len's 27-90mm( Nice Close ups!), Camera bag, 2 batteries, cleaning kit, Mini tripod, and a role of film! On top of that it was free to ship! The camera itself is beautiful, a nice step up from my stolen Rebel G!

I love this camera. I am not a professional photographer. I use my camera to have fun. I have taken over a dozen rolls of film and they all turned out great. I have never owned a SLR camera until now, but I will from now on. This one is very easy to use. I did get the deal with the case and all, but I paid only $368. As for the comment about making more money, every store has sales. Sometimes you hit them, sometimes you don't. My pictures (of my newborn son) are priceless and I am so glad they were taken with this camera instead of another.

I started to notice this page for 3 weeks now and the price keeps going up every time. It started at $359.99 when i saw it for the first time then 369.99 and now its 399.99. Not sure if amazon is playing a trick to make more money during holiday season???
