I bought this printer for travelling, and it's quite satisfactory. Very light, compact, easily fits in a suitcase. Print quality is perfectly adequate. It does use up ink pretty quickly, but if you only print black and white (as I do), the large black ink cartidge is a much better buy.

Yeah, it's kind of noisy & sort of slow, but a good deal for the price. Easy to set up & easy to use & produces a printed page that looks very professional - you won't be embarassed to turn in a report to the boss or teacher. It could get tedious for long reports but for it manages print queues well. It has separate cartridges for black and color and changing them is simple...

Fire-and-forget!.......2002-01-11

I have been using my Canon BJC-2110 printer for almost two years and it has been pretty much trouble-free. The color prints it produces are not quite photo quality and it is a bit noisy, but for the price, it can't be beat. (It came with my Gateway package). My opinion may be a bit biased because I have always used Canon printers at home with relative success. For text only applications,the printer is perfect.
On the downside, it is a thirsty printer when it comes to ink. The Canon will drink a color cartridge rather quickly if used a lot.
If you are looking for a decent printer for a home office that has quite a few capabilities and is pretty much bullit-proof, this Canon printer is the way to go.

Worked well for 9 months before breaking. Couldn't even get a response from Canon as to whether the warranty would cover repairs. Color quality wasn't the greatest. Consistently fed more than one paper at a time but didn't have many jams while it worked.

Buyer Beware.......2001-11-03

THERE IS A REASON THESE ARE GIVEN AWAY.

DO NOT FALL VICTIM TO THIS INFERIOR PRODUCT!

This Canon abomination was part of a package 'deal,' which was received as a gift for Christmas of 2000. Less than a year, and only four cartridges later, the print heads have already lost their integrity. It spits out only faded, sad-looking colors and will not even print text decently. Visible banding on the highest quality level, poor ink saturation, and excessive vibration/noise are also part of Canon's 2110 package.

I'm a technically literate individual (engineer, web designer, MIS professional). It has ink, the heads are clean, I've tinkered with the driver, etc. In my opinion, Canon simply failed to install quality components. Engineered fallibility is the trade term. It means: use ... components to save money. Sure, there will be a lot of failures, but most units will outlast the warranty, and the profit on the cartridges will more than cover the repair/replacement of the warranty claims. (Canon cameras are no picnic either - get an old-school Nikon.)

I have not investigated their warranty because I wouldn't take another 2110 for free.

I recommend investigating Epson, as HP does not allow third parties to manufacture ink cartridges for their printers. This means you have to buy HP cartridges at premium prices. Anyway, I recently bought an Epson Stylus Photo 1270, after shopping around. The Epson machine quietly and reliably produces beautiful prints. Check their website for all the technical jargon. All I can say is that I'll never make another color enlargement via toxic photochemistry.

This graphic card was incompatible with my system.Based on what I could do with this card, my game playing experience would have been awesome! It is fairly easy to install and the instructions are pretty straight forward. Returning this video was a very pleasant experience. Amazon was very helpful in giving me instructions about returns and exchanges. I was contacted almost immediately. Amazon is also very good about notifying their customers with confirmations. I highly recommend this series if your looking to buy a good graphics card. It is worth the buy! Amazon is a good place for this purchase.

I bought this 2 years ago for a home built PC.
32MByte memory version. Easy to install. Software works well. My kids found it gave huge improvements to the performance of games like Diablo II.
My computer has a Phoenix 6.00 PG bios, AMD Athlon 2000+ CPU, VIA Technologies, Inc. KT333CF-8235 Motherboard. Windows XP.
AGP Version 2.00 Bus (supports 1X, 2X and 4X)
I never got the board to run at more than 1X on the AGP bus, though it should support up to 4X. Neverthelees the performance improvement over the old PCI card was impressive.
I recently downloaded the latest version of ATI catalyst control center, which stopped the AGP bus working altogether, so now I will upgrade to a more modern card. I think the moral is if it ain't broke, don't fix it!

Not PCI Port.......2005-07-07

I did not realize that I needed a PCI Port card and the web site did not indicate this requirement nor that this card was AGI. My son pointed it out to me after I ordered the card. When I contacted Tiger Direct, they did not know that it needed an AGI slot. They told me to call the Distributor - Diamond, who after a 35 minute wait on hold, said it was not his product (it was). When the card arrived and I confirmed that it was not PCI, I was able to return it and get a full refund. It was a hassle taking the box to be returned. I would have preferred to know about this before I ordered it.

cheap and fast, what more can i say........2003-05-30

no complaints. i play a lot of counter-strike. ok at 1024x768. at 800x600 the frame rate/response/refresh/update(whatever you want to call it)gets out of the way of the game. the 3D environment on the screen goes as fast as i can move the mouse. i also just got a viewsonic A90f+, another great value at [$$$].

supports 16:9 wide screen resolution........2003-05-10

if you have rare widescreen monitors(such as plasma or LCD rear-projector with VGA input). this card is a perfect match. This card supports three wide screen resolution. text won't look stretched nor blur. I use it on my 50inch Sony w9000 and the screen never looked better. highly recommand this video card.
BTW: pick up manufacturer's rebate from compusa website while at it, before it's too late.
