Exif Print Technology
Exif 2.2 is the worldwide printer independent standard for digital image processing. Not as great as they say, but still very good.......2006-09-19

I will start by saying I buy cheap ink for my printer. And I will follow that by saying HOLY COW can you get some SUPER CHEAP INK for this printer!!! (generic, of course). The photos that print look good and I don't mind the quality, but they certainly aren't comparable to real photos from a lab. But it works for what I need it to, it prints normal text really quick, and I couldn't be happier (mostly b/c the ink is soooooo cheap!)

This printer stinks - at least the one that I received.

Not a single picture comes out looking like it does on my camera OR computer screen. What happens to faces is undescribeable. Any detail areas are completely a mess.

I have wasted a lot of money on new ink and special printing paper. What a waste of money. And now I have to buy another printer again.

Seriously, this thing prints out terrible pictures. Some of them look ok from a distance (and that is only some of them!), but look somewhat closely at the picture and you won't believe the number of problems with detailed areas. This thing isn't printing out what is there, its printing out some semblence of what it thinks is there. Stay away.

useless.......2005-01-19

My version of this printer was pretty much useless because everytime I went to print, the paper would get jammed. This happened over and over and over and over and over again. I was not doing anything fancy, simply printing black/white documents. This is why I rank this product as utterly useless. Canon should devote some serious attention to their paper feeding system on this printer.

I got this printer on clearance... Even at full price its about a thrid of my first one! Great borderless full size 9x11" color prints in about one minute! YIKES thats FAST! Its really quiet too! I just love this thing! Get one now!

Great for occasional printing needs.......2004-12-01

The iP2000 from Canon is a capable photo printer for occasional use. It boasts high speed and excellent photo quality. In the end I paid $20 more and got the iP3000 instead because (according to my Staples sales guy) the iP3000 allows individual color tanks, so when you run out of one ink you don't need to replace all the colors.

Of course, in reality the colors tend to run out more or less at the same time.

Phatnoise Car Media Player, Awesome!.......2007-01-13

The first few days I was not real impressed with the sound of this unit. Sounded thin yet had flabby bass. After about a week of break-in the sound dramatically improved and the functionality in my 540I BMW is awesome! You don't have to look at a readout; you just press the buttons on the radio, like 4 to scroll through artists or 3 for disc titles. Then you can scroll through by using the steering wheel up/down buttons and it speaks to you. Yes it will tell you the artist name and then the disc title as you scroll through.

I love the way this works as well as the sound. I don't have any of the problems that I had with CD's skipping. I've ripped everything in using FLAC encoding, as I can't stand listening to mp3's! Mp3 may be all right for portable means but it's awful for car and home use. You can hear a huge difference if you have a good system. Too much loss of resolution and detail. Bass is not nearly as good on mp3. FLAC is a loseless encoding which preserves the sound of the CD very well. You can even rip from the CD into an identical WAV but that takes up a lot of hard disc space and the FLAC encoding compresses the file by half and is lossless.

I have upgraded to a 120GB DMS cartridge and even with FLAC encoding I'm able to get my whole CD collection on it plus have room for future CD's. Approximate room on 120GB is about 500 to 550 full CD's in FLAC. If you can stand the sound of mp3's that almost unlimited!!!

Highly recommended!!! I'd give it a 9 out of ten for everything. Still room to improve on sound quality but very good! Better sound than the stock CD changer. Any song I want to listen to is always at my fingertips. Won't give it up!!!

Atlantic 74-DVD Tower.......2006-02-13

Very elegant and unique in shape. I got the Walnut/Titanium one. Easy to install. The only problem I have with this product is that the holes on the base are not properly distanced for the threaded shelves prong to be screwed in place. Once I got three screwed in place, the fourth was really difficult. I tried cross tightening but it still doesnt feel like it is completely secured in place. Also it is true, if you have box set DVDs there are only certain spots where they fit (places where the wave isn't as curvy). I was able to fit my Lord of the Rings Extended DVD Box on the second shelf from the top and the second and third shelf from the bottom. It really makes my DVDs look organized and more attractive than having them stacked on a regular flat shelf.
