Small and convenient.......2007-09-27

This wireless mouse is an almost perfect accessory for your laptop bag. The mouse itself is compact, but the real size advantage goes to the USB receiver, which can be left attached to the computer, so you just need to turn the mouse. The scroll wheel has two modes, a traditional, precise scrolling mode that provides fine scrolling control, and a hyper-fast scrolling mode that is ideal for long documents or large web pages. With the software installed, it also allows for horizontal scrolling.

So why is it almost perfect? While the small size makes it more portable, it does make it a bit awkward for a person with larger hands to use. But the one real weakness is the small size and placement of the forward and backward buttons. Instead of being on opposite sides of the mouse, they are located next to each other on the left side top of the mouse, which makes them more than a little difficult to use.

Overall, this is a nice little mouse for someone who wants a responsive but compact mouse to travel with their laptop.

I had the opportunity to try out the Logitech VX Nano Cordless Laser Mouse pricey ultra-portable mouse with a tiny receiver. Instantly, I liked the package when I saw the small size of the receiver -- it looked like a USB plug. But then I realized, it would be easy to lose in a house full of kids.

Two AAA batteries powered the mouse and the package came with batteries (hope it didn't drive up the price). When I opened the battery compartment, I saw the "Nano Receiver" label. When not using the receiver, you put it in the battery compartment next to the label to store it and close the battery compartment keeping it safe while on the move or not using the mouse. Innovative.

Although, it was no problem to keep the receiver plugged in even on the go since it barely protruded. It was a nice change not having to duck doorways to avoid hitting the two-inch long receiver from my old portable mouse. It had a few run-ins in its lifetime.

Plugged in the USB receiver, put batteries in mouse and the mouse went to work right away. It worked without the installing the included CD. However, the CD contained more features for taking advantage of side-to-side scrolling, Internet search, and button customization.

Have you noticed some mice have scroll wheels that click as you scroll and others don't click (frictionless for long scrolling)? This one did both. Push the scroll wheel to toggle between the two modes. Click scrolling (friction) worked well for precise scrolling and frictionless scrolling performed best with long documents.

The box also included a carrying case and a USB extension stand for using the mouse with a desktop. These can stay tucked in one of the laptop's smaller pockets out of the way.

My old portable mouse shut itself off unreasonably fast when idle. Moving the mouse wouldn't wake it up -- it called for either moving the scroll wheel or pushing the buttons on both the receiver and mouse to wake it up. This one required neither. It woke up every time I moved it. The receiver didn't even have a button, so I only had to push the one on the mouse to make the first connection.

This high quality portable mouse wasn't without a flaw -- the size. My medium-sized hand missed the older and slightly larger sized portable mouse. But with time, it will adapt. The mouse felt snug and comfortable to the top part of my hand and fingers (the bottom of my palm dragged on the table more than usual). Oh, and it felt wonderfully light. I weighed it with the batteries and the scale showed 3.5 ounces.

Some might find the scroll wheel "too loose" -- in other words, you can easily spin it. This feature is a matter of personal preference rather than a good or bad thing. Overall, Logitech VX Nano Cordless Laser Mouse is a great portable and cordless mouse if you're willing to spend the money. The receiver alone can make it a worthy buy.

First off let me admit that I'm very attached to my Kensington trackball mouse. I love that thing! I have that for my PC but needed a wireless mouse (I hate the navigation controls on the laptop itself) for my laptop. I first looked at Kensington but ended up sticking with the Logitech VX Nano. I am now a huge fan of this cordless mouse for several reasons. (1) Other brands have much larger receiver/USB connections and using your laptop anywhere else but on a flat surface can cause problems since the receiver sticks out a bit. I've snapped off bulkier receiver/USB connectors by mistake and ruined the internal workings of the thing. A costly mistake. This little beauty has the smallest USB connection I've seen and I LOVE this feature. Since it's so small you can leave the receiver in the USB connection and forget about it (it's so easy to lose a bigger receiver that you constantly have to connect and unconnect to your laptop, which would make a wireless mouse useless). (2) This mouse was really easy to install. I just put the included batteries in and placed the receiver in a USB port and after a moment, presto, the mouse worked. This appealed to my lazy side as it allowed me to bypass the whole cd installation process (which requires connecting the correct driver to my laptop, etc.). (3) The scroll function is very sensitive but I like the speed. (4) The design of the mouse itself is very comfortable under hand. This is key if you spend any length of time on the computer. Although the sleek design is appealing, it did not factor into my decision to keep it. I highly recommend this mouse over others on the market.

Excellent Wireless Mouse!.......2007-09-25

Most people writing reviews for this mouse have already raved about it- let me add my voice to the crowd. I use a laptop for work every day, and always like to have a mouse as I don't like the eraser-head or the touch-pad nearly as much as an external mouse. However, carrying a mouse around can be annoying.

The Nano makes it less so- this mouse is ergonomically designed for true comfort. My hands are fairly small, but I have no trouble reaching the very conveniently-placed buttons to navigate forward or backward, up or down.

My favorite feature is the one-click button that you can press which will take you straight to your favorite Internet search engine! This is a great feature when you have a lot of documents open already and don't want to minimize and go back to the desktop for your internet link!

The mouse comes with a convenient carrying case, two AAA batteries, an optional desktop adapter and a CD for installation. It is easy to install and takes absolutely no effort or reading of the instruction manual to work. I am not at the forefront of the technological revolution by any means, but I enjoy comfort, simplicity and convenience in electronic accessories. This mouse meets those requirements and for that, I would highly recommend it to anyone who prefers using a mouse to an eraser-head or touch-pad.

I had been using a Logitech MX 400 corded laser mouse with my laptop--but the VX Nano cordless will be a good replacement. The mouse feels comfortable--a concern which previously had meant that I had bought full-sized mice, even for my laptop. My primary laptop use is for my lectures: I need to connect the laptop to a projector. Between the power supply connector, the serial link to the projector, and the corded mouse I was having to fuss with a lot of wires in a small space--so the wireless mouse is welcome!

The Logitech mice in general feel right--the VX Nano is a lot smaller than my MX 400, and for the hand of an oldster like me, still seems fine. There are 3 helpful Internet buttons, so it's good for browsing. Even the mouse wheel has a rubberized circumfrence. Overall, it makes me think of a new car that has lots of good features that surprise you--convenient storage nooks, well-thought-out grips, and the like. I may have to get one of these for my desktop at home!

Mice have come a long way since the early days of the Macintosh, with its innovative roller-balled brick. Fast forward 22 years and meet the Logitech MX Revolution. With innovative scrolling technology, rechargeable batteries, and improvements that make it easier to do common tasks, the MX Revolution is definitely a big step in the right direction. Whether or not this mouse is a revolution is up for debate, as it doesn't completely change the way we interact with our computers like the Macintosh mouse did, but it's clearly an important step in the evolution of one mankind's most indispensable tools.

Feels good in the hand, and the intelligent scroll wheel is a revelation.

Just remember to turn it off. This baby is a power gulper, not a sipper.

The mouse feels great in small and large hands

Ergonomics and Design
The first thing you'll notice about the MX Revolution is the distinct shape, which is very reminiscent of a cresting wave. Fortunately, the design does more than look good. The mouse feels great in small and large hands, and the curved channel--which accommodates the thumb nicely--makes it easy to use the document "Quick Flip" dial on the side of the mouse. Above the Quick Flip control you'll find a pair of thin, customizable buttons that by default operate as forward and back controls for Web pages.

The top of the mouse houses Logitech's tour de force, the MicroGear Precision Scroll Wheel, which dynamically controls the speed and resistance of your scrolling tasks. Side scrolling and a scroll wheel-based button press are also supported. Just behind the scroll wheel sits the quick search button, which pops you into the search engine of your choice.

The "Quick-Flip" thumb wheel makes it easy to quickly switch between active windows.

All in all, it's a surprisingly simple layout for a device that offers a great deal of functionality. Lefties beware, though. You'll find it awkward to use the quick flip dial that's located in the channel on the left side of the mouse. Although Logitech has designed a small ridge on the right side of the mouse that lefties may find supportive this is obviously a mouse built for righties first.

Logitech says that the MicroGear Scroll Wheel "represents the single largest engineering effort ever undertaken by our engineering team," and their hard work shows; the scroll wheel is not only well designed with a smooth, progressive feel, but it is also surprisingly intelligent. Need to quickly scroll through large Web pages and documents? Place the scroll wheel in "freewheel" mode and give the wheel a quick, frictionless spin. The action feels much like a well-oiled roller-ball and offers blazing speed. Need slow scrolling for browsing photo libraries or spreadsheets? Switch to ratchet mode for precise movement. The included SetPoint software can automatically switch modes--a feature called SmartShift--or you can switch modes manually with a light press on the scroll wheel that shifts "gears." A note for Mac users: The Mac version of the MX Revolution Software does not appear to support SmartShift.

Quick Flip and Fingertip Search
Two other nifty functions make the MX Revolution a great tool for productivity freaks and power users. The included software installs an application switcher that is linked to the mouse's thumb wheel, an action called "Quick-Flipping." Clicking the thumb wheel brings up a window listing all currently active application windows. Rotating the wheel and then pressing it again when you've reached your selection brings up the window of your choice. The Fingertip Search, which relies on a small button just behind the scroll wheel, allows you to input any copied text into the search engine of your choice. For OS X users, the action brings up a Spotlight search window.

Connection and Power
Connecting the MX Revolution couldn't be easier. The included wireless USB dongle was immediately recognized by Windows and Mac machines, and after switching on the power switch on the base of the mouse, we were mousing almost instantaneously. Wireless mice are often a pain when it comes to battery life and replacement. The Revolution MX solves one of these problems by integrating a rechargeable battery. The included charging stand is simple and stylish, although it requires wall power--no USB charging. You'll be using the stand a lot, as we couldn't squeeze much more than a day's work out of the mouse before the low battery indicator appeared. The mouse does not appear to have a sleep mode when it's not active (or when folks inevitably forget to turn it off), a notable omission from a device that is otherwise a home run--as long as you're a right hander.

I've never written a review here at Amazon, but I felt compelled to let other potential buyers know what they *might* experience if they buy this mouse.

Before buying, please be aware of the (reasonably common) issues with the built-in rechargeable batteries in this mouse. Go to the Logitech forums (forums dot logitech dot com) and read what issues people have been having with the batteries (inability to recharge, frequent loss of mouse precision due to battery issues, etc).

Don't get me wrong: this is a lovely mouse, truly well designed and a joy to use when it's working. Unfortunately, there's an apparent flaw in the battery charging system that makes some mice unusable.

Until Logitech either issues a recall or openly admits that there's a quality control issue with the MX Revolution, I'd suggest anyone seriously reconsider purchasing this mouse.

The Best Mouse Ever Created!.......2007-09-22

I have been using this mouse for more than 6 months and I believe this is the best mouse I have ever used. The comfort, precision and performance is top notch. After many months of heavy use at home it still works like it did when I first bought it. Because of the MX I also bought the VX version which is smaller and for travel. The best feature is the Microgear which is very useful when reading a long document. I am very happy with this mouse and I know you will too if you decide to get it. Good Luck!

Much Better!.......2007-09-24

I previously had a lesser model of a Logitech cordless mouse for my laptop for about a year. It was like pushing a potato instead of a mouse. It was heavy and way too sensitive to any dust, hair or other assorted desk top particles encountered in a typical work environment.
Nothing compares to my new Logitech mouse! It is much lighter and moves with almost no effort. The laser is more accurate and not as fussy about the surface it's working on. I do use a microthin mouse pad that makes the perfect accessory for this mouse. It was well worth waiting a year for and I'm glad I made the change.

Although the VX Revolution Cordless Laser Mouse for Notebooks is advertised as an Intel Mac product, it is not. Not unless you just want a very expensive click and scroll mouse. The software for Mac has to be downloaded from the Logitech website as it is not on the accompanying disk. That should have been a red flag to me. The software is not compatible, causes Kernal Panics before 24 hours are up after installing. I had no luck with Logitech tech service to resolve the problem.

It is however, quite comfortable to hold in your hand.

Logitech VX Revolution - Probably the best notebook mouse around........2007-09-19

As a firm supporter of Logitech mice after a couple of failed Microsoft ones, I would like to share some of the pros and cons about the Vx Revolution.

I am currently using the Logitech MX610, LX5, V200 and V400.

The size of the VX Revolution is smaller than a normal desktop mouse but a bit on the large side for a notebook mouse. However, the size and feel of the mouse allows hours of comfortable usage.

Ever since i used my MX610, I have become a sucker for additional customizable buttons on the mouse and the VX Revolution has buttons that are similarly placed on the left hand side, activated by the thumb. The precision zoom button is a bit stiff but still functional and programmable.

The new quick search button just infront of the scroll wheel is a neat feature is you use it often. Otherwise it is just another programmable button for anything you want.

The tracking lazer is better than what i have had before. So no complaints there. The V400 had a terrible lazer. Although it was marketed as a new lazer system that tracks across all terrrain. I found that it was worse off than what my V200 or MX610 had. I sometimes use the mouse while lazing in hotel beds. The V400 could never do a decent job on linen.

The new frictionless scroll wheel needs some getting used to. But i seem to manage with it. But if you don't like it, you can always revert back to the ratchet system.

As with many other critics, the positioning of the switch between frictionless scrolling and ratchet scrolling is placed under the mouse. It would have been much better if it were placed on top of the mouse for fast access.

So if you can put up with the slightly larger size, this single AA battery powered mouse is a great product. Only pity is that it does not come with a nice neoprene carry bag.

Nonetheless...good job Logitech, you've probably got the best cordless notebook mouse around for now.

I bought this about a month ago and I've loved it since. It's great not to have to connect little USB devices just so you can this wireless mouse. My laptop (Dell Inspiron 640m) has a built-in bluetooth module so this little mouse is all I have to carry with me. No wires, no hassle, finally! The precision of this device is also very good. Bought this wireless Bluetooth Mouse for my granddaughters laptop to take to college. She has had lots of problems with it and as of yet we haven't been able to reslove them, mainly, the mouse quits woking and she can't get the laptop and the mouse to work together. We are still trying to get the laptop mfgr (Lenovo) and Logotech to help us reslove this problem.

I have the same mouse (V270) and Lenovo laptop and both work together without any major concerns or any problems what-so-ever.

As other reviews have stated, the software REFUSES to install on my Dell Laptop, though the mouse works anyway. And also be aware that there are only 3 buttons. For some reason, this mouse doesn't include the left and right wheel buttons, which I didn't realize before buying it. But since the Logitech software won't even install, I wouldn't be able to configure these buttons anyway. In switching to this mouse, I gave up having to plug in a USB dongle, but lost my wheel buttons...a bad trade. So I'm disappointed, but I should have read more carefully before ordering.

I read several reviews that gave a poor rating to this mouse but I had no problems. I am using it with a Toshiba Laptop and a Zoom PCMCIA Bluetooth adapter. I turned on the mouse told the bluetooth software to make connection and it was there. The mouse has worked flawlessly from that moment on. I did not install the Logitech software that came with the mouse. Didn't need or want it. The only thing that I could possibly complain about is the size. Like all of these portable mice it is a little smaller than your typical desktop mouse. For those with smaller hands this is not a problem. For my big hands I find it to be "not exactly comfortable but not exactly uncomfortable either" but it was better than some of the other notebook mice I tried. Good job Logitech. I just wish you had a V270+1" for my big hands.

I use MX500-Kbd/Mouse Combo, which is BT enabled at work with the same LT and both work fine..

I bought my logitech ex110 about a month ago. I love the features of opening/closing programs from the keyboard. Music controls are excellent! I use it for my desktop and not gaming, but the range is perfect for my use. The delete/home/end keys are switched from other keyboards, but I am getting used to it. I just got 2 more for my peers at the office. VERY SIMPLE to set up and get typing! Even comes with batteries!

I'm mildly preturbed that I paid $59.99 at Radioshack for this thing when I see they sell it here for so cheap. Based on my experience with this product though, I wouldn't buy it unless they were charging $9.99... and even then, it'd be my backup keyboard. I agree with the other reviewer, it is a pain in the neck with how they changed the home, delete, end, page up, page down key... I spend at least 5 minutes a day backtracking through my work because the insert key is now over the number pad... For someone who's work involves lots of typing, it's not a very good buy...

Really though, I was writing this review 'cause I have had this thing less than 3 months and my "N", "L" and "S" key have almost completely rubbed off. For me it's all right I suppose as I don't have to look at the keyboard, but it's not really user friendly in that regard. I don't recommend this to anyone else, while my experience has been positive in some ways, it just doesn't look like this thing is going to make it for the longhaul... and at the almost $65.00 I paid for it after tax, that's just not good enough for me.

In my work, I hammer the dickens out of my keyboard-mouse combos, so every three years or so, even a good one like Logitech eventually buys the farm. This is my latest...and I'm plenty happy with it. Solid basic combo. Doesn't have all the bells and whistles of more expensive models, but I don't really need keyboard shortcuts for turning on the toaster or setting my alarm clock. One suggestion: Always go to the Logitech site and download/install the latest driver set for your model. The CD is always a version or three behind.

It's a great product for the price as long as you are sitting very close to the sensor. I bought it to use it with my Windows Media PC on big screen so I can sit back on the couch and surf the internet. But the range is very poor and signals are easily lost if any minor electronic device or speaker is in close by.

Heads up..........2007-09-26

I have to write this review just to give those who are interested in this product a heads up on the potential problem of this product.

Pros:
- the arm rest is decent

- not a bad price for a good looking laser combo

- isn't plug-and-play and requires minimal installation, but that wasnt a big issue

Cons: (evaluate according to how much it will affect you)
- the middle button click is pretty hard. You can barely hear it and most of the time will accidentally push forward or sideways. Terrible when I rely on it heavily to close and open new browser tabs.

- Despite the ergonomics looking design of the mouse, I find my hand pretty uncomfortable resting on the mouse. My hands are average guy's size, and I find the palm area to be hollow whereas normal ordinary looking mouse doesn't have this problem at all.

- despite it's a laser mouse, it isn't that sensitive

- keyboard lags when you type anything over than 50wpm. Imagine you just smash your keyboard with a load of keystrokes. I can see the letters popping out one by one (a problem stated by one of the reviewers here to). I have a G Router next to me, that might be the cause but not entirely sure.

- the LCD on the keyboard appearance to be pretty useless and waste of battery life to me. It will show clock, alarm, and volume up which something the screen will show anyways.

- the zoom on the left can be very sensitive at weird times. Occasionally touch it by accident.

- the special keys on the top is a bit crowded and no distinctive separation on each of them. I always have to look at (instead of feeling them) which one I'm pressing. I usually would use those keys to play media.

- middle button isnt bind to middle-button function by default.

- the keyboard is a bit too crowded and problematic to actually enjoy the features it has.

Other notes: I didnt try it long enough to know the battery life. However the hard middle button and keystroke lags is the main reason I returned it. Minus all the dislikes, I would be using it just like a normal plain keyboard and an uncomfortable mouse.

My Logitech 3200 Keyboard and mouse.......2007-09-21

I love it, just plug and play !!! I only have a couple of things that would give this a 5 star. first the keyboard needs just a little more lift or tilt, just a little for comfort. The keys need to be a brighter white, if not in direct light they are a little difficut to read. And last, the clock, I didn't even set it, if I have the keyboard pulled up to me I can see it no probem but if I push it back toward my monitor (which is only 2-3 inches I can't see it at all. Could it be possible to have it on its own battery? like a small AAA, just for the clock, it would last a long time and be a nice added touch to be able to see and use the clock... I love this keyboard, it is easy to use and very nice looking... thanks

I just bought the MX3200 for a Brand New Dell Desktop with Vista.
The Keyboard and mouse both worked perfectly right out of the box.
I am using it for my T.V. and at a distance of 12 feet they both
work flawlessly. I "DID NOT" however download the drivers from the
disk. I read all the horror stories about the drivers so decided
to forgo the possible headache. I just wanted to write a quick review
for anyone that was on the fence because of all the bad reviews reguarding
Vista issues.....I believe the driver disk is the problem and not the
keyboard or mouse. Bottom line: I LOVE THIS MX3200 DESKTOP!! :)

Very nice but I have two pet peeves.......2007-09-08

The printed letters on the keyboard are too thin and too dull white to contrast adequately with the black background. Hence, very difficult to see in dim light. (I am an ophthalmologist, and would definitely not recommend this product to older patients and anyone with less than perfect vision.) In fact, I have had to put little pieces of scotch tape on the "f" and "j" keys to find the normal typing position without looking.

The "-" key seems to be further out than the normal typing position, so for a good touch typist like myself, the key isn't exactly where it should be when reaching for it.

Agree the LED is very hard to see, because of the same lack of contrast noted above.

Otherwise, this keyboard is wonderful, especially the wireless part, allowing me to recline in my comfortable desk chair and work from a further distance than usual (cranking up the monitor a bit as well).

Although I love how Logitech makes mice, I didn't have any experience with a non-Bluetooth mouse when I bought this, so I wasn't expecting much. I am simply delighted with this little dynamo which has all the features most people need, in an eye-catching red color. The 360 degree scroll wheel function is terrific.

I like the slight heft it has (which is mostly due to the AA batteries that power it). Re: the batteries- I haven't turned it off since I bought it a month ago, and the batteries are at 75% of a full charge, which I am amazed at.

If you decide to use it with a desktop computer as I do, you don't have to use up a precious USB port if you have a self-powered USB hub; just plug the dongle into one of the ports on a hub and it works great.

I deducted one star because it doesn't include any installation software for a Mac. If you plan to use it on a Mac and haven't installed the Logitech Control Center for mice or keyboards, you can download this software for free at Softpedia.

I LOVE this mouse! My laptop is kept on the breakfast counter in the kitchen and before it was always a tangled mess of wires, no more! Now when moving the laptop around the house I can just throw the mouse into my pocket and pull it out when I get where I'm going!

Love the red too! The mouse fits nicely into my hand and so far I haven't had a single problem with it and I've had it about 2 months now.

Good concept, flawed execution.......2007-09-27

After the first day of owning this keyboard/mice combo I would have been inclined to give it a 5. It looks pretty good with my MacBook Pro, the mouse is very comfortable, and after installing the software update from the Logitech website it worked as advertised on this new Intel model (not that the software tells you it needs to be updated... I had to find that out online when the software from the CD didn't work).

The problems started the second day, after I replugged the device into my laptop... everything seemed to work fine at first, but the key mapping for the option and Apple keys was backwards, and none of the special function keys worked. When I opened the Logitech control center it said there were no Logitech devices recognized. I have to restart the computer every day when I get into the office and plug the adapter in to get everything to work properly. The keyboard and mouse also seem to flake out occasionally. Power-cycling them or even just opening the Logitech control panel seems to bring them back to life. In short, I like the hardware, but Logitech's software is pretty crummy.

* Great mouse
* Nice extra keys for iTunes, browser, etc.
* Looks pretty good

Cons:
* Buggy control software
* Forces daily restarts of the laptop
* The white plastic look is not to everyone's tastes
* Must remove batteries to recharge (doesn't come with rechargeable)

The keyboard is very comfortable and sleek, as is the mouse. The key layout is fine and the responsiveness is fine. The mouse isn't compatible with left-handed users but feels comfortable and smooth.

My main problem with this product is the "Logitech Control Center" software that is needed to use some of the spiffier buttons on the keyboard and mouse (open email, open browser, iTunes track control, forward/back buttons on mouse, etc).

First of all, the disk that comes with the hardware doesn't load to an Intel based Mac's desktop, period. You have to eventually force-eject it at startup using the "hold mouse button down during startup" trick. Begin ominous music here.

If you manage to download the "driver" software from the Logitech site, things get worse. Just google Logitech Control Center to get an idea.

The software uses Application Enhancer, a problematic framework that currently has known issues for Intel based Macs, causing your machine to chug during startup and for a good 30-40 seconds at login and logout, and hogs CPU cycles & RAM. The control center itself is notoriously unstable as well.

To make matters worse, the bundled "Uninstaller" doesn't remove the App Enhancer framework. An unwary user is thereby left with a machine that has become quizzically slower. Unless you take a good look at your Activity Monitor and stumble across the appropriate "gripe" forums, you've basically gimped your machine without even knowing it.

So...yeah. Get the keyboard if you like the ergonomic aspects of it, but don't expect to use the special features anytime soon.

I recieved the package in good timing, however the product didn't work. I had to return it...and buy a used dell set that works great.
I don't know if it was the product or the seller...but it didn't work out so well.

Overall, I'm happy with the product; it's got a nice look and feel and the mouse and keyboard are comfortable. I downloaded the correct drivers from the logitech site and everything works fine with my macbook pro - no problems with the shortcut keys, etc.

The only complaint I have is that sometimes the USB signal seems slow or seems to have been lost. I have to "reconnect" the mouse sometimes by pushing the signal button on the USB receiver and then on the mouse. I'm not sure if this is due to the mouse itself, or due to the fact that I'm using this with a USB hub and not the USB port on my laptop. I tried it connected directly to the laptop and it seemed a bit better, but still more sluggish than my older logitech laptop mouse. There are only a couple wireless USB options out there for Macs though, if you don't like the Mighty Mouse...

I began researching Mac keyboards/mice because I hate the mouse that came with my Mac and I would rather have a wireless system.

I found this one and decided to purchase even though some of the reviews said it didn't work with the Intel machines. When i got it, I put in the batteries, plugged in the USB, and clicked the connect buttons. Everything worked great - well, the mouse/keyboard basics worked.

Once I went to the Logitech help pages, I found the updated software download for the Intel mac software/drivers. Once that was installed, I had the fully functional setup running right away.

What is really great is that I can just grab the mouse and USB receiver and toss it in my backpack to use at school (they have older macs with worse mice then my iMac came with).

The Mouse itself is very comfortable for my hand and I can finally right-click again. The movement is smooth with or without a mouse pad, and the batteries have not needed to be changed yet (about 6 months so far).

The Keyboard is very thin, which is something I was looking for. Most replacement keyboards seem to be larger then the basic ones - this one is a tad smaller, and about 1/2 as high. I have had no issues with using it, and no keystroke lag at all. Still running on my original set of batteries here too.

For those that care, the form factor of this set looks really good with the white iMac I have. It doesn't look out of place or cheap at all.
