my son got this 2 years ago when he was a year old. it was always on a shelf and controlled by an adult. the first one we had didn't work straight out of the box. we exchanged it for another one, but it hasn't worked all that great either. it played some cd's and not others (none of our cd's were damaged). the cd player finally just stopped working. looking for a new one that actually works.

We purchased this cd player for our child and the music quality was so apalling we had to return it - twice - thinking the first one was a fluke. That says a lot, as we didn't have high standards for the required sound quality (it's for a 21 month old). Our biggest issue was the static that played right along with the music.

We had ours about 5 mo months and the CD player no longer works. The radio works, however we bought it as a CD player. We're looking for a new one..

We purchased this cd player for our son to listen to at night at bedtime. It appealed to us because it seemed to be built pretty tough and seemed to be un-cluttered and easy enough for a four year old to use. It never worked quite right. Most of the time it did not work at all. It finally just stopped working and Target exchanged it for us without any problem. After about six months, the replacement unit is now not working. This time I hope that Target will just refund us. Pass this one up.

I just purchased this little stereo for my bedroom and it's wonderful. Very sleek in design and I enjoy the classic knobs and features. The remote control only works on the cd player and that's a bit disappointing. But, it puts out a lot of sound for a small unit and it fits just about anywhere.

CD AM FM STEREO Cassette Recorder- There are Better Choices.......2003-03-21

I have owned this model since November 2, 2002. I have the model CS832R which is like the CS830, except, mine has remote control for CD. The CD player works great. The AM and FM Stereo work great. The Cassette Recorder in this Boom Box, is only FAIR in performance. Cassette Recorder makes a sound when playing or recording, from inside the unit; that sounds like a belt slipping. It can be heard with your music at low volume level. Also, this cassette recorder will at times, without warning, pull the loop of tape out of the cassette you are playing, and wrap it around the idler wheel. Furthermore; this cassette recorder makes only FAIR sounding recordings. Whether you record from CD or Radio(unit has NO MIC for live recordings);your recordings will sound like listening to a radio station that is slightly not tuned in. The bass in your recordings will sound slightly fuzzy/distorted, mid and treble are ok. Unit has auto shutoff only in play or record mode of cassette. Unit does not shutoff in Rewind or Fast Forward; you have to hit stop key. Volume output of unit is not really loud(less than 1 watt per channel). CD is NOT programmable; but does have repeat function. CD player makes spinning sound in use. You get what you pay for; and there are better choices out there; then this unit. Stereo separation is great on this unit. AM/FM tuning dial is NOT that accurate. This unit will perform like it's price! Don't expect more.

GREAT little binocular!.......2003-11-21

I've had this binocular for several years and LOVE it! The extra wide view is the cat's meow when you're trying to see the big picture! It's easy to focus; has the extendable pieces to protect my glasses lenses; and provides a very clear view. The only thing I've used it for is to watch the critters in and near the water (whales, eagles, etc.), and it is everything I've always wanted in a binocular! I've always had trouble focusing and finding things with the bigger binoculars that don't show much through the lenses.

Consistently bad quality.......2007-09-07

The original adapter that came with our iBook just decided to stop working (no one kicked the cord, or dropped it, or anything like that - it was always plugged into the same outlet under our kitchen desk). So, we bought the replacement. Worked fine for about a month, but then I had to unplug it temporarily the other day to use the outlet for something. In doing so I accidentally dropped the charger about 4 inches onto our wood floor, and killed it. Ridiculously fragile!

Why buy AGAIN?.......2007-08-07

Apple has had this problem for YEARS. The same thing that is happening to my ibook charger happened with my clamshell charger (which i REBOUGHT stupidly 4 TIMES!!!) It always tears in the same place. I am going with the generic Macally this time...it's HALF the price!

Apple's G4 AC Adapter.......2007-07-16

In the year and a half that I have owned my iBook G4, I have went through two ac adapters from Apple (that I got directly from the company itself). For the eighty bucks (or any bucks for that matter) they charge, it is SO not worth it. It gets unbearable hot, are not very sturdy or durable (that's a given), and have a tendency to burn out. Very easily. It's pretty, but that's about it. If you buy one, buy several more. You'll need them.

Quick scan of the posted reviews - folks seem to be complaining about the connectors on this power adapter. Their gripes are probably why Apple went to the magnetic plugs in their new line of MacBooks.

But what about these? Well, the original Apple is better than some of the alternatives - if you can still find them!

Yes, you need to be careful.
Yes, you need to be aware that if you do a lot of wrapping of the cable around the little hooks on the adapter that eventually something will break.

Should you hesitate to buy this one instead of the Macally bring? Nope, my vote is for the Apple one.

Of course, you could always go get a new MacBook or MacBook Pro!
