Optics and Resolution
Featuring a CCD sensor with 2 million effective pixels, the FinePix A203 delivers a wide range of detail and color (with images up to 1,600 x 1,200 pixels) and prints up to 8 by 10 inches. The FinePix A203 features a fast f2.8 Fujinon lens with a 3x optical zoom and a 2.5x digital zoom for a 7.5x total zoom. Its lens focal length is equivalent to 38-114mm on a 35mm camera.

Storage and Transfer
The FinePix A203 is one of the first digital cameras to be compatible with the new XD memory card. Comparable in size to a penny and weighing less than 1/10th of an ounce, the new XD memory card is not only currently the smallest image-storage medium, but it also uses less power for better battery performance and has faster data transfer rates than other memory cards. The included 16 MB XD card will store approximately 25 images at fine mode and 39 images at normal mode.

To transfer images to your computer, simply attach the included USB cable between your PC and your camera--your computer should automatically recognize the camera and let you move the pictures to your hard drive.

Movie Mode
In movie mode, the FinePix A203 produces digital videos (with no sound) in QVGA (320 x 240) format for movies approximately 60 seconds in length at 10 frames per second. Power
The FinePix A203 is powered by two AA batteries (alkalines are included). We recommend getting a set or two of rechargeable nickel metal hydride (NiMH) batteries and a charger. A digital camera will kill a set of alkaline batteries extremely quickly, especially if you're using the camera's LCD display, so they aren't recommended except in a pinch.

Great digi camera.......2006-06-23

Yes, there are better digital cameras out there but for the price (I paid $100 for it 2 years ago!) and the quality of pictures, which is surprisingly good, and because it IS tiny (I often carry it with me everywhere), I have to say that I really love this Fuji camera. Check out my pictures of my recent trip to Mexico. I had three cameras, two film cameras (including the amazing Olympus IS-50 ZLR) and the A203, and the latter's images, though a bit soft, held up pretty well against the photos from my 35mm cameras.

Good reliable camera.......2003-11-20

This is a great camera, but the only problem is that its out dated. There are better, faster, and more stylish camera's out there now. But from when i bought it, till now, it has given me no problems.

I bought this camera and regret it since returning it will cost a huge restocking cost (i didn't buy it at amazon). For the same price as this A203...you can find the 3mpix version the A303. So why does Fuji even make this A203? I'm not sure. A good price for this camera would be (One hundred ninety nine dollars).

As for the camera itself, its picture quality is impressive...but the most annoying characteristic is its around 4-second delay after taking each picture. That means you cannot take pictures in rapid succession. Aside from that, it's controls are very easy to use, battery-life is excellent, and its compact size make it nice camera...but do yourself a favor and buy the A303. Might as well get 3mpix for the same price as 2mpix.

Another thing about this camera is that it is one of the few that is Made in Japan. So there is no cheap Chinese or Mexican labor involved in manufacturing this camera.

Its a nice camera, compact, and the quality of pictures is sharp & very good. I shopped a lot of cameras and brought earlier sony & returned it & brought this one. This is pretty good in indoors as well as outdoors. The memory is pretty good very fast. For the price, it has lot of features & very handy.

A Great Little Unit!.......2004-09-16

We purchased this tv/dvd combo for our RV. A 13" televison was just slightly too large for the space. This was just small enough that it slid right in. The unit is fantastic. We used it on the road and found that the DVD didn't skip at all - even over some pretty bumpy, poor roads. Our XBox hooked right up to the unit quickly and easily through the 3 front AV inputs. The only problem we found was because the speakers are on the side of the unit, all the road noise made it difficult to hear dialog without maxing out the volume. This wasn't a problem when we watched the TV while stationary - even with the generator running. The unit has a headphone jack in the front and we'll connect headphones to it for the next trip to make it easier to hear.

I highly recommend this unit!

Extremely Disappointed.......2004-09-03

I bought this item for our small R.V. and although it worked well to begin with, after only seven months the DVD no longer opened. In order to have it fixed under warranty, which only covers parts at seven months, one must ship it to Broksonic and pay a $20 fee. This seems a bit ridiculous considering the cost of the item. Since we only used it, gently, eight times total before it failed to function, and in light of the warranty policy, I have to give it a "two".

Highly recommend this over TV/DVD combo in a bag provided you have a way to secure in your vehicle. Extra screen size makes it worth the price.

Great for the minivan.......2002-09-02

We purchased this system for our minivan. We opted not to pay the ridiculous amount of $$$$ for the factory installed video system. I was actually looking at the "DVD in the bag" system when I saw this product. The bag system had several mixed reviews such as the small screen, overheating, etc. I actually thought the price was wrong when I saw this system. It sold for over $$$ less than the bag system. It has a big 9 inch screen that can be viewed at an angle (you don't have to be directly in front of it to see it). It can be used with headphones or without and it is also portable and light enough to use in the house. We have it anchored with straps to keep it secured while driving. My children absolutely love it! It does only have one headphone jack. However, we purchased an adapter that turns one jack into two and purchased two cheap sets of headphones. The commercial is right - it definitely makes for a quiet ride. And one other plus...it set up in mere seconds. I highly recommend this product!

Good for home theater.......2002-11-08

You should know that you'll need a powered subwoofer to go along with these little speakers if you want bass. But if you use them in a home theater application, you'll definitely enjoy them. They really do offer everything you could want for music and sound effects. I've paired mine with my Cambridge Soundworks Basscube 10.

Quick and Easy.......2002-02-13

Ok i timed this one, it was exactly 12 mins and 37 secs from pulling the router out of the box until i had 3 Macs using the same internet connection. If you are using a mac this is the router for you. As i said i have 3 macs using different OS's using it (OSX, 9.1, and 8.6). Asante even releases their Firmware updates in a format that Macs can read, so updating the Router is a snap. The manual is set up in an easy to read step by step manner. I have actually seen better d/l rates on my DP 1GHz G4 since using this router, though im really not sure why. Get this product!!!

Flawless Here with Road Runner.......2001-12-21

I use this router with my Road Runner Cable connection and it works flawlessly. I have been using it for over a year with no problems. The setup was very easy with my provider in the list of available providers, so it knew about my DHCP settings already and just configured them for me. In a year my cable has gone out a few times and this router simply needs a reboot to reset the connection, this happened only twice during long outages of my cable service. I had many problems with a Linksys prior to using this one.

An opposing viewpoint.......2001-10-11

Yes, as others have said, it was very simple to setup. My complaint is that it just didn't work! I installed router number 1 to share my cable modem between 2 PCs and it worked fine for about a month. Then 1 day it just stopped working - no internet connection to either PC. Tried all sorts of things to get it working again, went through the installation procedure from scratch several times with no luck. Finally called Asante and to their credit, they said they would send me another and I could return the bad 1. Well router number 2 worked fine for about 2 months and then suddenly died just as the first 1 did. So much for Friendly Net

Router number 3 is a Linksys. It has worked flawlessly for about 6 months!!!

This product is VERY easy to use. 3 steps. Also has a wonderful printer server. I liked the one I bought for the office so much I'm getting one for my home, even though we can't get DSL yet. I want to be ready.

They have tremendous technical support. I did not have to wait in que. I had one question because I was trying to make installation to hard, anticipating trouble I never had because I was unable to believe it was that easy. The guy at customer support told me to be SURE to call him back if I had any trouble, and seemed to genuinely care that my installation was successful.

I had never heard of this company before, but I hope they succeed.

FR3400LC, Simple printer set up!.......2001-03-20

I ditto all the other comments about ease of use and ease of setup. I bought the FR3400LC, with the print server and modem port, and I found it very simple to set up my 10-Base-T printer for a Mac and PC. Before getting the router, I had the printer connected to a hub. My Mac found the printer easily, but no such luck for the PC. Now, I have the printer hooked up by a 10-Base-T connection to the Mac, and by parallel cable to the print server port for the PC. Prints fine from both machines! Only one caveat, if you're setting up the router on a cable modem, make sure you obtain the FULL name of the cable company mail server. The simple "mail" that I used previously for my Cox@Home connection did not connect.

I love this camera b/c it take good pics and you don't have to rewind it or mess with any bad film out of it b/c there won't be any messed up film. Like the camera i had before it messed up so many of my film that it was a waste of money but this one i love. for the money it is great.

incredibly durable camera.......2001-05-13

I got this when I was looking for a low-end zoom camera some three years ago and it's still in great condition, even after having dropped it several times (not recommended!). In fact, the most recent time I dropped it and the zoom stopped working, only to work again a couple of days later!

Beyond being very durable - probably related to its boxy design (the Volvo of cameras?) - the zoom is actually helpful, even if it only has 4 settings (38, 45, 52, & 60) and the LCD displays the number of pictures taken plus the strength of the battery (what else do you really need?). The camera has the five requisite settings: auto, auto with red-eye, with flash, without flash, and self-timer. The second flash to compensate for the red-eye does a wonderful job - I have had several portraits at close range with little to no red eye effect. Other normal features include a tripod whole plus a manual rewind button on the bottom plus a view to the film canister on the back in case you forget what type of film you put in the camera.

It's basically all you need in a compact zoom camera for a low price, plus did I mention it takes great pictures? Too bad it's out of stock.

Lasted 3 years, then suddenly died........2006-01-07

I bought one of these 80GB Buslink drives a few years ago, back when 80GB seemed like a lot of storage. It lasted a while and served me very well, with quick access speed and no maintenance necessary.

Suddenly last week it stopped working - my computer can see the drive letter, but can no longer access the drive. I used this only as backup for photo and mp3 files so there's nothing essential on it, but obviously I'm disappointed it didn't last longer.

I'd take it in for repair or data salvage, but the cost of salvage is too high - cheaper to just buy another! But I'll be buying a SimpleTech drive instead, as they seem to offer larger drive sizes for less money, and the reviews are fairly positive.
