Runs Out Way To Fast NOT WORTH THE MONEY.......2007-08-26

I myself am having the same problem that alot of other reviewers are having with this product! While I am happy with the HP Printer itself, this #21 cartridge doesnt hold enough ink and runs out VERY FAST(mine ran out in two weeks). Keep in Mind that I only use the ink to print postage and I always use the fast draft which uses less ink and I STILL have to replace the cartridge frequently. I can only imagine if I used the normal print mode, I would be running to the store every other day to replace the cartridge. Of course most of us know that these companies dont make money on the actually printers, they make money on the ink! Anyway, I am going to try one of those refill kits and see if that cuts down on the cost!

Although the quality of the ink is good, this cartridge holds only 5 mL of ink.

Runs Out Too Fast.......2007-06-15

My printer takes this cartridge and I go through ink like crazy. I don't print pictures or anything like that -- I'm talking just regular documents printed 99% of the time in fast draft mode. This cartridge just isn't worth the money. If anything, buy yourself a refill kit... it's a lot cheaper that way.

This ink cartridge prints well, but I have to replace it frequently. I would suggest making an ink cartridge that lasts longer.

The Cartridge That Never Was.......2007-01-10

I'm sure the HP 21 cartridge is great, however, you kept sending it to me (at least twice) instead of the HP 29 cartridge that I had requested. I could see quite clearly that you had made a mistake on your website--you had the picture of one product and the description of another linked. You finally figured it out after I sent back the 3rd cartridge and cancelled the order--YOU cancelled the order, not me. I thought that your action was not in the interest of your customer and will seek other vendors for such products in the future.

Like a certain bunny we all know, these cartridges keep going. I don't even trust my ink indicators any more. They say empty, these cartridges are usually good for maybe another 50 pages or more! They are go go go!

Very Good Ink in VERY Small Containers.......2007-06-01

As inks go, this appears to be very good stuff. In fact, they say it's guaranteed to last 200+ years, although I'm not sure who around me will go ask for a free cartridge if my documents or photos only last 150 years. More to the point, it DOES look great.

On the other hand, these cartridges are around 30 bucks a piece and I need 8, so it rather irks me that the cartridges are so small. Perhaps that's a comment more appropriate for a review of the printer design, but it's worth noting here.

Also worth noting is that you SHOULD NOT immediately replace the ink cartridge in your HP B9180 when you get a message from it saying that this or that cartridge is about to run out. I say this because, when mine said that, I checked the little meter that tells you how much is left and it said 40% of the cartridge still had ink in it. 40%! To me, 40% is not "about to run out," but I did go ahead and buy an ink cartridge -- I just held onto it until it really became obvious that it was no longer printing that color. Only then did I replace the cartridge, because doing otherwise is needlessly wasting money.

I'm not quite cynical enough to say that HP WANTS you to replace (and recycle) the ink cartridges prematurely, but it obviously would make them more money if you do. Just keep your eyes open and you'll be fine.

HP 38 inks are very high-priced, so the Amazon price combined with super saver shipping is the best deal available. As for the ink, as it is essential to use the HP B9180 printer, what can one say. The inks do their job and the printer is sometimes quirky but always produces a fine print.

Perfect for B9180.......2007-01-14

This is more a review of AMAZON's great service than the ink. If you own the HP B9180 then you simply Must use this ink.
My local photo stores and office supply stores simply do not stock this ink... and ordering from other online shops id "iffy" at best. With Amazon (And an Amazon Prime account) I get super fast FREE shipping and Amazon has not been out of stock yet.
