As far as the bag goes. Well, it's kind of a generic fit. Apparently HP uses it for several cameras. I don't care for the bag, it is functional though. The problems with the bag:

For one thing, the 735 camera is not a good fit. It goes in behind a tight elastic strap. If you aren't paying attenion, you end up turning the camera on as you slide it in. Of course, the lens extends then, and if you've got the bag tightly packed with batteries, I'm afraid the lens motor would be damaged. This is easy enough to avoid, but that one time you aren't paying attention..... Secondly there is just no good way to store batteries. The main compartment is divided by an elastic strap. The strap doesn't go to the bottom of the bag. Therefore, batteries are always getting up under the camera, and just aren't where they are "Supposed" to be when you need them. Minor annoyances, yes, but it would have been SO EASY to make the silly bag without this nonsense!

Batteries and charger: I have NOT had problems with the batteries like some said. I did follow the directions and charge them up, then run them fully down several times. Since I did that, they hold up better than alkalines. Maybe the others had bad batteries, or maybe they hadn't exercised them enough.

Bottom line. For the price it's pretty good, since you get 4 batteries. If you're watching your money, get this kit and you'll be fine. If you want or can afford something better, I'd skip it and get a better bag from a camera store.

Doesn't hold a charge.......2003-12-09

Not worth the money spent on it. After reviewing info on my new digital camera I followed suggestions to get the rechargeable batteries kit to save money on AA batteries. I did not need the camera case that came with this kit, and it really had too many pockets for my liking. The batteries did not hold a charge. I only got a few pictures taken before they went dead. If the spare set sat in the camera for a few days they too were dead. At least I got a full set of pictures taken on the duracell ones. I would much rather buy batteries and have them on hand then always be running back to the charger after a few shots. I have had no experience with rechargables before so I do not know if this is common. But I returned this item as a defect because for this amount of money you should get more then six pictures per charge.

Received my camera dock for my 735 camera and had the same problem some others described. That is that I put the rechargeable camera batteries that came with the product in my camera and put it on to charge and the batteries would not charge. They were just too dead. So I did have to go out and buy new rechargeable batteries, then it worked fine. So give that a try.

HP 8886 Camera Dock Battery Charger a Joke.......2005-04-04

I bought my HP Photosmart 735 at UBid.com and bought my HP Photosmart 8886 Camera Dock and separate Carrying Case with NiHM Battery Charger here at Amazon. The 8886 "DRAINS" the batteries within the camera. They won't charge while in the camera as advertised. I can charge them in the separate charger that came with the case, but, in the camera while in the 8886 Dock.......NO WAY! I read other reviews here, and I'm surprised that the 8886 hasn't been recalled or that an admission of problems with the battery charging capability hasn't been posted by HP. Since I can download from my Camera directly to my PC or Printer, and I have the battery charger that works GREAT! I'm going to send back my 8886 Dock. There's just no reason to keep it, and I too had a problem with HP's online Live Tech Support. The Tech told me to try a different outlet for my dock although I was getting good A/C power from the current outlet to the dock. In other words; the Tech had not a logical answer for my Batteries not charging within my 735 Camera. Maybe the dock charges batteries in other Camera Models besides the HP 735......I don't know. I thought the Dock would be a great and practical accessory, but, turns out my carrying case that came with 4 AA or 4 AAA NiMH capacity battery charger is the way to go. I don't need to have a dock to watch on TV when I can use my computer or printer. I'm very disappointed in the HP 8886 Dock and the HP Tech Support.

AVOID this HP Product - Batteries do not recharge. .......2004-11-22

This HP docking station does not charge batteries. It will give you error message "Batteries cannot be charged" when batteries run low. After spending weeks e-mailing and calling HP "support" I am about to give up. This an $80.00 plastic holder for your camera. Very dissappointing. HP sells to the US, they should have customer support in the US.

HP makes quality products; there is no doubt. From their PCs to their printers to their cameras. But this camera, the 935xi, must be the best camera on the market for its price. One can be completely photography illiterate and still produce great photos. And with the optional dock and remote control, one can recharge the batteries, view photos on a TV screen, and transfer pictures from the camera to a computer. It uses affordable SD cards which make its storage capacity almost limitless. It is small enough to be ultra portable, yet large enough to fit comfortably in your hand. This camera works fantastically with both Macs and PCs. I own this along with other more expensive cameras and by far, when I need a great shot - this is the camera I take with me.

Huge Time Waster and Coaster Maker.......2006-02-05

This piece of junk has been a problem ever since I purchased it. I have been able to burn a total of 4 cd's with it and when I complain to Iomega I get no response. I upgraded to Win XP at home and find that the software does not work with XP, and that it will cost me $50 to get new software that will make it work. I finally sppend the $50 and it still does not work and Iomega still refuses to respond. The only thing I get is on their junk email list. In my opinion Iomega Sucks, and I will never purchase another Iomega product

Highly Unreliable.......2005-01-31

As with other reviewers, I have experienced numerous problems with this drive. At least 1/3 of all attempts result in ruined disks. I cannot use any other program while burning (and must kill all background processes). I can only use blanks made by certain manufacturers (expensive 'name-brand' only) and frequently the disks cannot be read by friends' CD players.
As reported by others, Iomega support were of no help whatsovever.

I hink the Iomega Predator 4x4x6 Sucks.......2004-03-04

Last year I bought from dabs.com the said ext CDRW, initially I've had no probs & thought it great.Once one learns to burn music at the slowest speed.
Now though I'm going through backup of backups of CDR discs as well the drive's conflicting with the PC ie causing it to freeze.
Iomega support are no help, to them their drives are perfect, it's the PC's fault.
I think not.
The moral is DON'T BUY IOMEGA....

Firstly, a pain to install. I thought maybe my fault and let go. Then some CDs burn fine, some CDs end up in trash. On calling their support, they said to shut down everything else(luckily I was allowed to breathe) while the burning is happening. That did not help and I had to buy certain CDs from certain manufacturers. But no, that does not help buffer overrun issues. Still I could backup the lovely photos of my first baby sometimes. And then one fine day the damn thing stopped working. Support said buy another device. And here I am shopping again.

Iomega 31119 Predator External USB CD-RW Drive.......2003-04-30

Very compact and fast CD Drive. The only setback that I have noticed is at times the computer needs to be re-started in order to retrieve the CD from the drive. It doesn't happen often. I would highly recommend this for anyone who wants a reasonably priced, compact, easy to use, fast CD Drive performer!
