Defective?.......2007-08-14
This would work fine for a game that does not demand real-time input, but for any type of action game, it's a terrible choice.
Every minute or so, it stops sending the signal to the receiver for a few seconds. That's no fun in a fighting game, or any action or fast puzzle game.
Decent product.......2007-05-14
This was the cheapest wireless gamecube controller I could find. That being said, it matches my quality expectations. It's really light, kinda cramped, and doesn't include batteries. Also, the pictured wireless adapter is not what I received. I got boxes with 2" cables attached to the connector, which works, but isn't nearly as organized. I got these to use for Wii VC games and they work fine for that purpose.
No channels.......2007-04-24
I got this controller but, unfortunatly, there was no channel switch for multiplayer. So, I don't know that if I use this at my friends house with other controllers if they mess up the gameplay. I got one similar to this, namely MicroCatz 330 wireless for Gamecube. (beige-white)Please help me. [...]
I'm confused. No channel switching???.......2007-04-24
I loved this controller. When I got one of these, it was beige and didn't have a channel switching. It was the same Madcatz 330 wireless Gamecube Controller. Will it be able to play in multiplayer, like in supersmash bros where there is about 2-4 players, or will it get confused and mess up everyone's control? Anyway, Because of this, I docked 1 star. Another reason was the size. For my opinion, it was too compact. A little hard to reach the start button. But, still great. Please answer my question [...] or post a comment! Thanks! =P
Love it! Feels great. Plays great........2007-04-06
Ok, so I only bought this (well a set of 2) yesterday after MUCH stressing about which controllers to buy for my Wii to play VC and gamecube games. Plugged in two of them and my roommate and I played Street Fighter II: World Warrior and had a blast. I was taken right back to high school sitting in front of my SuperNintendo. :) The controllers feel great, I like the smaller size of them. The buttons are easy to reach and work with. I can see how people have said it feels "cheap" but it WAS inexpensive (I found them cheaper retail after a couple store hops). And they feel like they'll hold up a while, I'll get my money's worth out of them for sure.
Most importantly, they were very responsive, I felt no delay, and there was no interference in having 2 of them plugged in right next to each other.

I bought a couple of there products before and every time I got one within a week my system burnt out. I DO NOT recommend this controller
Sleekness for Gamecube Lovers.......2006-03-19
I definitely am surprised about the feelings of third plarty controllers. For Mad Catz, they are definitely the company that has been more than just the cat's meow. Their Microcon controller for the Nintendo Gamecube is sleek, comfortable, and compact. But, it also has the equal power that Nintendo has with their standard controller. I was just amazed about how simple and easier it is to play several of my video games like Sonic Riders, and Mario Party 7 with this controller. It is one of the very few times I'll ever suggest another party and what makes to me a good controller. Mad Catz's Microcon for the Nintendo Gamecube is a really good buy.

Don't expect to use this controller for more than 10 months.......2005-10-13
I purchased three of these controllers along with my GC, & all three failed at around 9 months. They seem to be fairly susceptible to high-humidity as I took a couple of them apart & found that the screws holding it together & various parts inside the units were corroded.
The standard Nintendo branded controllers are vastly superior in every respect. Spend an extra $5 and get one of those.
Excellent company, excellent warranty.......2005-08-17
This game controller has a macro feature that can do several functions at once instead of pushing several buttons to achieve the same outcome. The Matcatz controller is totally compatible with the GameCube console. Don't feel you have to pay more to get the GameCube controllers. We've had this one for four years without a problem. Just recently my son had trouble with the figures in the game moving on their own, so I called the 800 number I found at [...] They sent me a new controller within a week. I couldn't be more pleased with the product or with customer service. I would buy again from this company.
Micron Controller.......2005-02-12
I have small hands, so I found the Micron Controller great. It was easy to find all the buttons on it (when I wasn't used to them when I first began playing). I did not find the controller fragile, however. My sisters and I play Super Smash Brothers, and there is a lot of button mashing going on in that game. This controller has stood up to this punishment very well, as we play it all the time, and it's always getting handed around to different people. We got it for Christmas over a year ago, and it still works today as well as it did the first day we got it. This is definitely a good buy if you have small hands, but you really should stick to the regular controller if you have large hands.

Same as all the rest.......2006-10-08
I purchased this controller for my son thinking that it was going to work well for his small hands. I was disapointed to find that it is essentially the same size as the small microsoft controller so in that regard it has no value.
great price, comfy grip, D-Pad not very accurate/precise.......2004-06-14
Too bad there isn't a picture of this item (as I write this review). I think this controller is the same as the one here:
http://www.amazon.ca/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00005QEZ6/ (...)
At least, that's what mine looks like.
I really like the grip shape and rubber surface (altho I have small hands, my hands cramp up more easily on the Microsoft S controller). The macro function is nice, altho I'm still trying to program combos into it. I can't notice a difference with the joysticks on this controller or the Microsoft S controller (but I've only been using the MS controller for 2 months and this MadCatz controller for about a month). No problems with the joysticks so far. Great price - cheaper than the Microsoft S controller. I got a translucent orange one (too bad we can't pick the color). I've only used this MadCatz controller for about a month, so I can't say if the rubber grips are durable or not. The only complaint I have is that I find the D-Pad control is less precise than the D-Pad controller on the Microsoft S controller. I find it harder to do combos (DOA 3, Soul Caliber 2) than with the Microsoft S controller. The button layouts are also a little different. I prefer the Microsoft button layout, but find both are alright.
Good size, bad durability.......2003-12-23
This controller is a good size for my smaller-than-average hands.
The only small problem comes in durability. For the first 6 months or so, it worked okay. Shortly thereafter, i noticed the joysticks (which are rubberized for some reason) and the rubber grips on the sides began chipping away and disintegrating in my hands. This makes for some messy gaming and dirty palms. Also, the right joystick tends to drift which is bad if you are playing shooters or games with a camera mapped to the right stick. Also, the combo feature wasn't much use to me, maybe because it's too quick when executing combos, or maybe cuz i don't play a lot of fighting games.
Either way, it's not a bad controller, but it's not the answer to all your control problems. Go controller S if you don't mind the extra 10 bucks.

CAUTION!!!.......2007-08-01
The Controller advertised in the picture is NOT the one being sold!!! The actual one is black, bulky, and the reciever is not very practical.
Playstation 2 Micron Wireless Controllers.......2007-07-12
I purchased 2 micron wireless controllers for my Playstation 2. They are pretty cool. They are smaller than the normal controllers and are not as well made. They feel kind of small and cheap. However, they do work just fine and I love not having the wires to deal with. Overall, I am very happy with them.
Compact and convenient.......2007-05-19
The controller has great range and can point in any direction while working, but have a few AAA batteries on hand.
Useful for making your 4-year-old cry.......2007-05-02
In about 20 combined attempts to plug in the awkward dongle receiver and switch on the controller, we got it to actually make a wireless connection once. I purchased it for a four-year-old who was in tears after we repeatedly failed to get it working. So it's going back. It was to replace a Pelican wireless controller which, while it has sluggish and imprecise analog sticks, at least can actually connect to the PS2 every time.
Functional, But Not Impressive.......2007-05-02
This is a mini wireless controller. 3 AAA Ni-MH batteries required (interestingly, that's 1 more than for the much heavier XBOX version of the wireless MicroCon). I suspect that MadCatz has different design teams for the different consoles, because the build quality on this controller is far below the XBOX version. The plastic quality, molding precision, and light weight, in particular. Fully loaded with the three batteries, this controller still weighs less than the XBOX one with no batteries.
The overall design was not particularly well thought out overall. The shoulder buttons are extremely cramped and cheap/loose feeling and the Start/Select buttons are completely sunk into the controller. The grip/battery pack problem found on the XBOX MicroCon, where your fingers are squeezed between the sides of the controller grips and the battery pack located on the bottom of the controller, is much more pronounced in this case as well.
No problems or complaints about deadzones or drift as far as the analog sticks go, however. The tops of the analog sticks are concave, so they provide somewhat better grip than on the DualShock. The DPad is the classic cross design, instead of the split-cross. Unlike with some third-party controllers, the DPad on the MicroCon is very tight. The accuracy is fairly good, but if you're used to the level of resistance on other cross-style DPads such as on the Nintendo DS, the resistance on the MicroCon may feel a bit higher and will take more effort to depress. The time for the DPad to reset to its start position after you press it also felt a tad sluggish.
Overall, the quality of the PS2 MicroCon isn't overly impressive. But I bought it primarily for the wireless capability, for those times when I don't want to be right in front of the TV, and for that, this controller actually stacks up surprisingly well. No problems whatsoever in syncing up with the receiver. No issues with dropoffs, lag, or interference with my wireless router and other wireless devices. Normal usage distance for me was approximately 8 feet, but when I was testing it, it also worked from a different room at a range of >10 feet (of course, you'd never actually use it in that fashion...). Looks like I lucked out here, since I know that a lot of people have problems with wireless controllers.
Conclusions:
The XBOX version of the MadCatz Wireless MicroCon is a fairly safe bet, and with the exception of the cramped grips issue, is one I would heartily recommend. For PS2 however, I'd suggest skipping this offering and instead looking at something of a bit higher build quality and better ergonomics, including one of Logitech's wireless PS2 controllers such as the Cordless Precision or Cordless Action. I own the wired version of the Precision, and it is a compact (but not mini) controller. But if you need something cheaper that essentially gets the job done, then the PS2 MicroCon fits the bill.
Note:
The one I received from Amazon was dark-gray, not the clear one that you see in the pictures here. I'm not sure if one is a more recent model or not.

Missing controller.......2006-11-10
The USPS had a problem getting it to me. The product showed up at my parents without a problem, but when they shipped it to me overseas, we...
Apparently someone in the European Postal relays to get things to military bases decided that they needed one. Broke open a box containing the pad and another item, took the pad out it's box (which was unopened) and then retaped the whole thing and sent it off sans control pad.
This isn't your fault in anyway but if there is any extra pressure you can put on the Postal Service to investigate these problems would be appreciated. It's been a real problem for the last 6 months for servicemembers overseas.
Otherwise, I'll look forward to future transactions and will make sure I insure every package.
Very Comfortable.......2006-02-01
I originally purchased a microcon control when they were first introduced. The smaller size fits easily into your hands, and is great for younger players. The smaller size also helps with button mashing in fast paced games. I recently purchased a second one after dopping the first one and breaking the left analog stick. Up until that point I had encountered no problems with the controler after owning it for more than a year. Awesome controller.
Worked for awhile............2005-08-27
I bought this controller as a second controller and was fairly satisfied with it. Then, after about a year, the left analog stick started getting stuck so that it was constantly turning. I never got the "Macro" thing to work at all, and it never would work with one of my games. Mostly I used my Dualshock2 controller and just used the Microcon for a second controller in 2 player games. Now, since it won't even work for that I'm going to buy a new Dualshock2 controller. And as for the smaller size, I never really cared about that since I'm used to the larger ones.
Best controller available.......2005-08-15
This controller is small enough that it fits into everyones hands. I play xbox in the shop and everyone that has used this controller keeps asking for it. I always use it when I play Halo and I do way better than when I play with a normal controller.
Pitiful..........2003-12-29
I can't believe I wasted $15 on this stupid thing. It looked nice and pretty and all, but looks are deceiving (if that's how you spell it). It's comfortable, but that's just about the only good thing. This thing pretty much is not pressure sensitive. Lets say you move the analog stick just a wee little bit, your character in the game moves a bit slow. You move it a wee bit more, and the character moves at maximum speed. And the stick isn't even touching the frame of the controller. Also, when using the analogs, they seem to have a tendency to get stuck. For example, you move the analog stick all the way out in one direction, lets say, to make the game character turn. You bring back the stick to the middle and the character is still turning. The price looks good, but it's not worth it. Your best off going with an official controller, like ones made by Sony or Logitech.

Creative versatility for a hobbyist.......2004-12-06
I bought this camera after seriously considering the Nikon N80 and the similiar Minolta XTsi. I bought a Sigma 28-200 zoom lense and still use the cheap Minolta flash attached to this body but the flash does not work all the time anymore after 4 years of moderate use. Sigma lenses with that much zoom are not worth the money. I used my less expensive Sigma 28-80mm with macro capabilities and low aperature.
Although I regret not saving up $100 more for the N80 when I was only sixteen, I did get a good value on my STsi. I have taken several pictures, some of which have received small local awards for. Visit art.com, original artists, R, Christy Reno to see my portfolio I have done (mostly) with this camera.
Critical review: the honeycomb matrix system is not all it's cracked up to be. Black and white color images are not accurately automatically metered. The features are nice. I thought panorama would be fun for landscapes and slim people, but my local photo processor always made the colors too dark. It has nice automatic buttons you can use to grow with. The internal LCD panel gives you the aperature and shutter speed of the exposure. Overall, this camera is easy to use if you're willing to be patient with it. The autofocus is slow though.
Love It!!!!.......2001-08-06
What a bargain! Great camera! I have a hard time putting into words how much I love this camera. Wonderful creative options and versatility.
Along with the camera I purchased the Vivitar Series One 28-300mm Auto Focus Zoom Lens for Minolta AF SLRs and I find the combination to be amazing. Having just ones lens in the 28-300mm range is so convenient. The pictures that I have taken using Fuji 400 film are clear and the color outstanding. I still have so much to learn about this camera and I know I will be taking great pictures for years to come.
I recommend this camera and lens to anyone that wants great! pictures.
Wonderful Camera!.......2001-07-06
I love this camera! It is easy to use, and the prints I have had developed have turned out beautifully. Clear, sharp images with beautiful color! I am delighted with this purchase and would recommend this camera with out reservation to anyone who is looking for a good quality SLR.
