COMPLETELY Satisfied.......2004-03-09

I was looking for a great MP3 player, and I've been very disappointed with some digital products from other companies, so I was very hesitant to purchase one. I also read several reviews about players from some other brands (particularly RCA, which is what I was wanting to purchase), and read about several problems and disappointing findings about the player. I bought this a few months ago and haven't had any problems. Even beyond that, this player surpasses everything I imagined. It is highly customizable, even letting you set how long the LCD lights when you push buttons, has very easy to use and effective software, is small, compact, reliable and even the FM radio (which had nothing to do with why I bought it - it was just a bonus) lets you tune up to .05. I keep finding stuff I can do with it.

It is well worth the price.

Perfect All Around.......2004-03-07

I first came across the iAudio CW300 while searching for digital voice recorders. Needless to say, the CW300 128 performs perfectly as a voice recorder, picking up most sounds clearly through its two settings: HQ (High Quality) and UHQ (Ultra High Quality). For HQ I got almost nine hours of recording time and for UHQ I got around 4 hours of recording time. I also found it handy that you can hear what you are recording through your earphones, simplifying the question of whether you are recording what you want (even though the recording seems to pick up even more than what I hear). Starting and stopping recording is easy with just a touch of a button on the face of the CW300. Transferring the voice recordings to your computer via USB is also very easy with the included software.

Of course, the CW300 acts also as a MP3 player and a FM radio and it performs perfectly in both of these functions as well. Maybe 128 is not enough for both heavy MP3 and voice recording usage, but I managed to fit 21 MP3s of 128 kbps quality and still have 2 hours of UHQ recording time left. FM reception is great and can be recorded. Battery life is astounding for just one AA. The company's claim of 30 hours seems about right.

The only drawback I can see is that the jog controls are a bit tricky to get used to (at least for me). But after a bit of usage they proved to be efficient and quick.

You can read about the pro's and con's for this player everywhere, so I will only say that this player has unbelievable sound, and if you buy one, you will not regret it.

Overall the CW300 is amazing. The player is compact, easy to use, packed with features and accessories, and it looks so good that your will want to keep it locked up with your priceless jewels (no, not in your underwear!). If you are in the market for a portable MP3 player / FM player / Voice recorder, and you don?t need 500 MP3s stored on the device, I would absolutely recommend the CW300 to you. I absolutely recommend that you purchase the CW300.

Another attractive feature of the CW300 is the fact that it can be used for data storage. You will just need the included JetShell software installed on all the computers you want to transfer data to / from. With that said, if you are also in the market for a usb drive, why not kill two birds with one stone? I can't say it enough, the CW300 is great, I highly recommend it.

However, if you are looking for a player that can hold huge amounts of MP3s, you will want to keep looking. If enormous capacity is your deal-maker, I suggest considering an Apple iPod or a Creative Nomad Jukebox ZenZX.

When I first received my CW300 the FM tuner wouldn't work. I send an email to JetAudio and requested a replacement unit. My email and follow-ups were answered quickly (within a day or less) and I shipped my player back to them. I got the replacement within 6 days (!) and it is working flawlessly. Sound quality is superb and it has plenty of features. The software is very easy to use and I particularly like the accessories (leather case with belt clip, armband/armband case).
All in all, a great product and outstanding customer service.

I bought this little jewel 1 week ago. I'm so amazed of the autority it has when it drives my car's speakers or my headphone (Grado 60). No equalization needed.
Of course ... it has "only" 256MB memory ... and it would be nice a line out ... and a stereo mic in so I could use the high quality rec features at the best.
But honestly ... what the hell I'm asking for 120$ (that's what I payed for it)!!!!
But still, looking at it, you feel you are looking at a small&smart concentrate of technology.

Excellent Quality with a FATAL FLAW.......2004-09-25

I have an I Audio CW-300. I have been using it (used exclusively for running) for well over a year and find the quality and battery life suberb. However, Any music that you purchase online is sold in secure WMA format, this format will not be playable on this device as it will require DRM compatible software which it does not have.If you plan on downloading music to listen to from the internet it will not download to your I-Audio. If I had known this I would not have purchased my I-Audio

The title speaks for itself. This thing is great, works well the software is a little challenging, but the player itself is awesome the sound, headphones, accesories, and the ease of just working the player made it something i wanted to buy after looking at a dozen other player. The quality of sound is great various modes of listening and changing the bass, treble, and loudness. Armbands and belt clips work really good, but the headphone cord might not fit all the way, just give it a little push. Durablity is great dropped it 2 hours after getting it and its pretty tough.
Get one!!

I am in the midst of packing for a month long trek to Africa that begins tomorrow. Packing will have to wait while I express my great frustration and disappointment while I am still angry. I bought this piece of crap with hopes that it would be the perfect musical companion. Why didn't I choose an iPod - or a half a dozen other mp3 players? Hoping that the long battery life would keep me from carrying a load of batteries on my back through Africa, I choose this waste of computer technology. Little did I know that this worthless piece of metal would cut off every three seconds - and then when it does play for more than a minute at a time it repeats the same song over and over ... endlesly. I had read similar comments from other reviewers but ignroed them thinking that perhaps they were just the random exceptions in view of the overwhelming reviews that others had posted. No such luck. Now I am stuck taking this useless thing with me to Africa. If you stumble across a report of an international incident because a man could no longer handle his malfunctioning iAudio CV300 and just flipped out, it was me. Pepper this review with your own selection of favorite swear words.

I just received the CW-300 and we already have an I-Pod so all of our songs are on I-Tunes, however we run a PC (Windows XP)....DOES ANYONE KNOW...how to download to the I-Audio....from I-Tunes.....HELP!!..I like the product but need to figure out how to use it!!!....Thanks, CG

This item works fine as a small portable radio but myself and many others who bought this item found that the flash memory was defective. Unfortunately the store I bought it from will no longer accept it for return and Cowon's tech support is non-existant. I would recommend you shop for a different audio player.

I did a lot of research before making my purchase. I looked at equivalent offerings from I-River, Mpio, Creative and Philips. The CW300 was streets ahead.

1) The build quality is superior
2) It is very light and has no moving parts
3) 512MB is ample storage space
4) The radio reception is very good
5) The supplied Cresyn earphones have the best sound quality and clarity of any earphones I have ever tried (although they are not the smallest or most discrete pair I have seen)
6) 30 hours of play time from one AA battery is a pretty accurate claim by the manufacturer
7) The menu system is intuitive and simple to use

If you need to carry your whole music collection around with you, only the iPod is better otherwise this is top of the class.

Music never sounded so good!.......2003-10-31

All I can say is WOW! This little player is incredible. The controls are easy to use, the sound is beyond belief and the storage is very dynamic. The only thing I didn't like were the headphones that were included. They sound great, but it seems as though they were tested in elephant ear holes. Way too big for my ears. I picked up some wrap-around earphones for running and use the included ones for quality (no movement) listening. I did about 10 hours of research before buying this player. I compared it with the iRiver 390 512mb and decided this was a better deal, design and a lot more intuitive.

Get it if you are on a budget.......2001-12-06

These radios work well and are clear, IF they are not turned up too loud. This brings up the big problem with using them in a noisy enviornment, such as a car. Whenever I use them between cars 90% of the conversation is asking to and repeating the intended transmission. So if you are on budget and plan not to use your radios between cars, get this set. Otherwise I recomend the Motorola 5200 (have not used, but assume it works well), or the Motorola 6200 series (Work great, never have to repeat a thing, tonz of features).
3 stars because it is so darn cheap

Best Buy !.......2001-11-15

I bought this couple of weeks ago (...), and I brought it to Universal Studio Escape as well as to Disney with friends and I can't believe with clarity of sound ! It was crystal ! Despite the noisy crowd ,we were able to communicate without significant problem. Doesn't have any plug-in earpiece though, but hey ! what the heck ! no biggie ! For functionality, quality and prize, this is wise !

Poor audio on this radio.......2001-04-03

I've tried a few different FRS radios. I found this Kenwood model to have poor audio -- very muffled tones. No good! The whole purpose of a radio is to communicate, and it gets burdensome if you have to keep saying "What?" "What did you say?"
