I like these speakers.......2006-07-13

I was going to buy the EC35...but decided I wanted a slightly smaller speaker cabinet as I wanted the flexibility to be able to place the EC25 into my entertainment center cabinet behind speaker grills. This turns out to be able to with a width of slightly less than 18". This compared to the EC35 which is almost 22"...which wouldn't work.

The sound from the EC25 is good. Dialog is good and directed. Voices are not shrill. Any heavy audio requirment easily handled by my JBL main speakers...so the center channel ec25 is matched/mated well with the other JBL speakers.

So it is not only a great speaker for the price, but it integrates well with my other components, and fits within my space requirments. I would buy this speaker again.

Great center Speaker!!.......2006-03-10

I got this to replace my Center Onkyo which was really bad, could barley handle the load. So it was between the EC25 and the EC35. Well after much debate i went with EC25 because it was 75 shipped compared to 150 shipped. Well it didn't matter got it and it sounds GREAT with everything Music, Gaming and radio. I am really happy with this speakers it smokes my last Sony, and Onkyo. Mid and Highs are clear and crip no distortion even if i crank it up to max on reciver last Onkyo, or Sony couldn't do that. I highley suggest this speaker!

There's a few people suffering (they compared with their horrible speakers with Northridge) Let me tell you that is excellent JBL a Family Series, they give them a lesson how to research, design and built loudspeakers to half known and mediocre and semi reputed companies.

Nice, although preffer EC35, but its well compact, excellent price for a center and comes from JBL Northridge.

This series must be more expensive!!

I bought this speaker thinking it would be a good buy because of the JBL name. I have it matched up with Klipsch front speakers and Wharfedale rear speakers. The Klipsch and Wharfedale speakers are outstanding. The JBL speaker doesn't seem much better than the television speakers (an old Sony Triniton). It gives a flat sound that has very little clarity or depth. You should go ahead and spend the extra money for a speaker that will deliver a sound that will enhance your system and satisfy your listening experience.

Colby portable DVD with TV tuner.......2007-07-03

All works well on this unit, except the tv is ify. I bought a cable from radio shack to hook my ipod into and it works great! Radio also works well - it is just the television that is marginal. It is perfect for my T@B travel trailer.

This product has it all in one; TV, Radio, and DVD player. It is convenient and easy to carry anywhere! The only thing I wish it had was a sturdy carrying case that would protect it during travel.

Dead as a door nail.......2007-05-12

The unit arrived with no physical evidence of shipping damage. I was pleased with the looks of the unit, however when I fired it up the TV screen was completely dead. I called J.R. and got a return shipping number to return the unit and I was well pleased with how fast J.R. refunded the money I paid for the unit.

This is not a well-made. you know that suspicion you have for a no-name tv at a low price? This piece of garbage is why you feel that way. Every DVD or CD makes a different loading sound. The DVD and CD player portion died after 2 MONTHS. Rather than spend another $40.00 on shipping to return it I just chucked it over the wall into the alley. Ritz Camera should know better.

Great Little TV.......2007-04-19

I purchased this little TV Feb 24 2007, so I've had it just under 2 months. I has an amazing picture for such a little screen. The remote control is easy to use. I got all the local radio stations pre-programmed and I get really good reception. I tried out the DVD for just a brief time-didn't watch the whole movie-I prefer my big screen for that. I mainly use this in my little home office to keep up on the evening news while I'm working on my computer and such. My husband will take it with him to see the games when he's working at a rental house-but we haven't tried out the rechargable battery yet, so we're anxious to see how long that will last.

In the past we've had portable B&W TV's, but thought this would be nice for a change. So far so good. This does come with a rechargable battery that you insert when you set up the TV and it automatically charges in the background on it's own. It comes with a cigarette adapter to use in the car-but I would not recommend the driver to watch while he drives (hints to the husbands with their sports) and a headset for privacy. It has really good sound out of the speakers-I don't use the headphones. I'll close the office door if I don't want to interfere with the next rooms TV programs.

All in all it's a really good little unit for the money-it has good features. I think it's pretty cool.

Reliability problems.......2003-12-25

I bought this drive earlier this year. Setup was easy and it worked well and reasonably fast. Very noisy, however, such that it was like having a big fan next to me. I don't burn that many disks but after 10 months of light usage, it is currently having problems reading and writing. I've made 4 coasters lately and tried using different brands of CDs to no avail. This drive is being replaced with an Iomega Super DVD combo drive.

Never a problem.......2003-11-09

I use this unit with the software supplied (Nero) with Win2K, on a 3-year-old desktop. I NEVER have had a problem. On the other hand, I struggled for 2 years with a far more expensive unit and CD Creator 5 (and all its patches and updates), and got nothing but frustration.

Others have mentioned the speed issue: remember that the fastest advertised recording speed is only possible with USB 2.0, not 1.0, and when recording only some types of files.

support is not good........2003-03-04

Just ordered the Cendyne as referred by cnet.com. Speed seems good but customer support is bad. Product was missing software and for some strange reason it had a MS Small Business Edition cd already loaded in the drive? So either I was sent a return or this cd was in there from the manufacturer. Submitted a trouble ticket with their support inquiring about the missing software and the only reply i got so far was 'please register your product' which i did immediatley but so far 2 weeks have gone by without any reply.

Poor Performance.......2002-10-14

This drive is portrayed as being 40x12x40, but this is misleading. The maxium speed at which the drive burns a CD is 32x, it does not go above that. And even burning at a speed of 32x takes more time than my old Philips 4x. I am really disappointed with the performance of this drive.

Bushnell Binocular Tripod Adaptor warning.......2007-01-16

Warning! When I first tried to use the adaptor it would not fit into the binoculars. After some research about screw sizes, calling Bushnell, etc., I finally went to a hardware store and found that the adaptor and the binoculars actually were compatible threadwise. It turns out the adaptor threads were too high (poorly milled) and the receiving threads in the binocular were not cut deep enough (poorly cut - both probably due to worn out fabrication equipment). By buying a screw (1/4" 20 threads) and applying some grease, I was able to clear the receiving threads and then work the adapter into the binocular. Now everything works fine.

It supports my bushnell natureview roof prisim binocluars very well. However the design of the binocular leaves very little space to screw or unscrew the adapter, so attaching and removing it, is bit of a hassle

Why I don't like buying items through the internet........2006-02-28

Even though the companies involved said their computers verified that this was the right part, the part didn't fit and their was no explanation why. I will now return the product dissaticfied and out the cost of shipping and handling.
