I bought this center channel for my girlfriend for X-mas...well she loves it...clear crisp vocal...we set up her speakers in the close as we could to be perfect...even tho the center sits a little to high over her floor speakers this center still sounds wounderful..would buy again if anything happened to the one i have

I purchased this center channel speaker to complement my E60 floorstanding speakers in my home theater. I've been very happy with this whole line of speakers. Dialogue in movies is clear, crisp and well balanced to my ear. The appearance is fine (the previous N-series center was rounded and plastic) and construction is solid. I don't believe you can get a better speaker for less then hundreds more than the cost of this speaker.

I've had a pair of JBL's w/ 10" drivers for almost 10 years now and finally decided to add surround sound to the package. I picked up this center channel along with a pair of bookshelf speakers for my rear channels. The center channel has very clear sound - excellent voice quality. For a lot of music, I keep it in surround for the crispness it provides. A bit on the large side, but definitely a solid purchase.

Not a good value.......2002-03-11

Well although I haven't purchased, owned, or used one of these drives, let me just tell you prospectful consumers that you shouldn't buy it, especially for the listed price. It costs [$$]and writes at 4x, rewrites at the same speed, and reads at 24x. Maybe it works fine, but that is extremely slow! You can get a new burner for just a dollar more, and the speed will be 24x/10x/32x or similar! And it has the same hookup. Go with a Plexwriter (great cd-rw reputation), HP model, (high-quality EVERYTHING, I have a HP printer, scanner, burner; all work great) or something from I/O Magic- decent, but sometimes there are installation problems and possible incompatibilities. (I own their 16x12x32 burner)
Just remember that when you get a new burner, DO NOT have more than one burning program installed at once! My computer was out of commission for weeks (couldn't even load windows) because of complications of this. So anyway, even if this burner works fine, you're much better off getting a faster, more reputable burner for the same price.

Great, inexpensive CD-RW Drive.......2001-09-26

This is an exceptional product. I installed it myself and it works great. It comes with all the hardware and complete instructions on how to install and use it. I had it installed and burning in less than 30 minutes. For the price, it is an excellent cd burner. I am glad i chose this cd-rw for purchase.

Well worth the money!.......2001-06-07

Well, I must say that I love this writer! I bought this for Christmas and boy what a Christmas present it has been! The gift that keeps giving! It had a piece of paper in it congratulating me for being lucky and getting a 8X8 as a promotional thing, so it isn't slow like I thought I was going to get. The software, Nero, is one of the easiest I've worked with, copying on the fly or checking and copying. The only bad thing I have to say about this is that I never did get the 30.00 rebate, which I'm checking into, but, all in all, I think it works great!

My friend and I both bought this CD-rw in the middle of December last year. So far none of us received the $30 rebate ,even our rebate status shown "rebate approved" 3 months ago on the rebate website. But I would say the drive itself is a good product. I made more than 150 cd copies from it without any problem,even though I constantly doing other works on the PC when It was burning.

Really not worth the Money.......2001-05-05

For the price, this drive would be a good deal for any old system. The only problem being that it doesn't perform. It was easy to put in, but once it was, it just sat there. a good 4x drive should take around 15 min. to burn a cd, but this was more like an hour. If you plan on using the drive once a month or two, it would be fine. But any more than that and you might as well spend the extra money. This one would frustrate most users.
