I have finally received my DVD-R' that I ordered way back on 08/05/07. I pay extra for Amazon Prime to receive my orders via two day delivery. It was all of 5 weeks not two days.
As far as the product purchased I am very pleased and will continue to use them as long as my computer supports the format.
I needed to blow off a little steam. Amazon 95% of the time will get you what you need in a quick and professional manner.

This item is a very good buy considering that the dual layer DVD's are still so expensive. I bought two and it was much cheaper than one 50-pack spindle. Only one of fifty did not work but that was because the program I was using to backup my data crashed during the burn process.

I use plextor 16X dual layer burner. burned 40. All 40 of them came out good. If you use a junk DVD burner lot of medias will fail. You will have to do an exhaustive research to find a media that is compatible with your drive.

I use them mainly for copying images above 4.7GB. I use an external LG to burn the image. It takes about 25 minutes to burn a 6-7GB file, but it performs flawlessly everytime. Dual Layer are know to be expensive, and 25 for 30 dollars is a bargain.

I received the Memorex miniDVD+RW discs (10 pk) quickly after purchase. I tried to use it for recording on the camcorder Canon DC230. Unfortunately it gave me a message: CANNOT READ THE DISC, CHECK THE DISC.
I tried three other discs from the same package (Memorex miniDVD+RW), but none of them worked).
I need technic support ASAP. Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Ok, the recorder arrived super fast and it's been WORKING perfectly ever since. I've read a lot of reviews, and here's some hints that might help those who never got it work:
If you have Windows XP and Vista, sinmply connect the recorder via your USB/WiFi port, your PC will install it automatically, no other actions needed.
If you like the recording software already installed on your PC - don't bother even open any CDs coming with the recorder - it works perfectly with ANY software (I checked it myself).
If someone's bothered that after installation the recorder appears like CD-ROM - don't. It still works as it's supposed to.
Basically that's it. I can't think of other problems:)

I don't know if the problem was the device or the software but I never could get it to work. I installed and uninstalled it several times to no avail so I took it to Staples and got one of their techs to try it and he got it to work. When I got home, it wouldn't work. So I gave up and sent it back.

It is inexpensive compared to the Sony discs. However, You cannot use them in any DVR so you are limited to burning the CD to a regular size CD or playing it on the Video recorder. I like just sticking in the cd and watching it.

Way better than stock Dell speaker.......2007-09-09
My company laptop is a Dell D620. It has one tiny little speaker somewhere under the keyboard that's hard to hear in a noisy room. I've been looking for some kind of external speakers to use with the Dell, but I wanted something small enough to carry around in the laptop bag that still sounded OK.
I've seen several other speaker sets that had great reviews and supposedly sounded great, but they are all a lot bigger, or need batteries, or need an external power supply.
This little Tritton serves my needs very well.
It's small enough to fit in my laptop bag.
It's built solid enough that I can cram it in my bag with all my other goodies and not worry about it getting broken.
It does not need batteries or an external power supply.
I like the way the USB cord wraps up under the speaker so it's not getting tangled up with my other stuff when its in my laptop bag.
All I had to do was plug it into my USB port. Windows XP recognized the C Media USB sound device and loaded all the drivers. Windows even automatically disables the internal audio when I plug in the Tritton. I just plug it into the laptop and it works. So nice and easy.
The sound is much better and much louder than the built-in Dell speaker. I wish it had more bass and treble, but I knew I was sacrificing some sound quality for the small size and it's still a great improvement over the stock speaker.
I should mention that the package includes a mini CD ROM that has software which includes an equalizer function. That might help the sound quality even more, but I didn't load the CD ROM. I like to keep things simple and the sound quality is really OK the way it is.
I'll keep an eye out for a better sounding laptop speaker system, but I doubt I'll find anything as small, rugged, and convenient as the Tritton.

A huge improvement over my MacBook's internal speaker. I just plugged it in to the USB port, changed the speaker option and it worked. I don't know what the included software does because it doesn't work on a Mac. The small print on the box says it's "Windows Only".

This is the third portable, usb speaker I've purchased for my laptops. But, this is the only one that actually works, and it works very well. Crisp, clear sound that has good volume (as compared to the other small speakers, which were barely an improvement over the built-in laptop speakers) and a good range of sound. You don't have to install the software that comes with it, which I couldn't do because it's not supported on Windows Vista. But, even without the software, it is brilliant. I'm going to buy another one for my other laptop now!

Other reviews mentioned problems with cases breaking. I've had ZERO problem with these breaking when taking them apart to insert artwork. Buyers should be aware that the plastic is a little thinner than the jewel cases most CDs come in, but I'm pleased -- especially for the price.

A very good deal and price! These cases are great for replacing old broken ones or creating your own CD music storage. While not as thick as the original CD case, exercise care in pulling apart the insert for the paper catalog label. I am a part time musician and use these cases to store my own musical arrangements. More and more computer products are being packaged with their software CDs in paper sleeves rather than jewel cases, driving my need to buy blank jewel cases. While thin cases are abundant, it is getting harder and harder to find full size CD jewel cases. Personally, I highly prefer the full size cases as they allow you to write software/album title on the spine, making it much easier to look through multiple cases stored on a shelf. I therefore much appreciate that Memorex is still making and selling these. However, as others have mentioned, they are of poor quality. Most every one of them will break when attempting to pull them apart to install backside labels/inserts.

contrary to popular belief these cases all arrived in a perfect uncracked condition. even when i opened all of the backs these cases did not crack. they do not feel super strong but they passed all of my tests no complaints

I upgraded from a 1GB jump drive, and this one definitely gives enough space and then some. The memory boosting software it comes with really helps when you have just a few files on the drive and need your computer to run faster. I noticed a huge difference in performance when I had just 1GB of ram in my laptop and used around 1GB of free space on the drive for memory. It easily allows you to allocate how much space you are willing to let the drive use as memory, so you can change it all the time. Out of the 5 or 6 usb drives I have had, this one definitely wins in performance and storage capacity - all at a bargain price!
