When i first bought this product, i was scared because its so cheap it mite not be real and wouldnt work.
at the first when i was tryin to align it, it was afternoon, and i went to top of my houses roof(i m in middle east, its summer so imagine on top of the roof at afternoon when temp goes around 50C) and i did a mistake of truning my Navigon software along with the GPS software provided and it took me a couple of minutes to realize i need to run one software only to make it work. but when i restarted my JASJAR, and started Navigon (ofcourse i paired the devices), it just worked and never gives me less then 9 settelites.
I went to Salalah and it showed me the way and helped me get back home from mountains and deserts even tho Salalah was always cloudy, never saw the blue sky, but still it would get settelites within 15 seconds. unbelivable. too good to be true
Does Not Work Well With My Smartphone.......2007-01-15
I did not realize I had to purchase a compatible map program to go with this product. When I tried it on my smartphone, it shut down my ability to receive calls also.

This little unit works flawlessly. Paired effortlessly with my VX6700, and I was navigating with TomTom in minutes. Some of the best features:
-Uses the same battery as a Nokia 6xxx series cell phone, so if the battery dies (as most do after about 3 years), just get a cheap generic replacement.
-Uses mini usb charger (the same type as my PDA), and you can use it as a usb gps is your computer doesn't have bluetooth.
-Great battery life. I have been using it off and on for 3 weeks and have not charged it once.
-Great reception. I can pick up 4 sattelites sitting inside at my desk!

I bought this after I tried a pharoas BT GPS receiver w/ TomTom software. I can't say enough good things about the Holux 236. It is small, lightweight, and worked instantly out of the box with my mac and my treo 650. Pairing was a snap, and the receiver acquired 8 satellites inside my house, which also has a fair amount of tree coverage. I've been driving around LA with the receiver placed in my center console of my car and have only lost the GPS connection once... driving in a canyon.
I give this thing two thumbs up.
Also, Buying anything besides SIRF III would be a mistake at this point.

Disappointed.......2007-07-25
I purchased this product to use with my Samsung I730 phone. It has the Windows Mobile 5.2 operating system. The Holux M1000 works very well. It was fairly ease to use with my phone and with a lap top via bluetooth. The DeLorme software was disappointing though. Downloading the routes to the phone isn't easy. The map and route information is limited by the size of your phone's internal memory. DeLorme has a work around for manually loading map data on to the Storeage card but not routes. Routes must be small enough to fit on the internal memory. On my I730 that means we are limited to very short trips or must be creative in the way that you handle routes (i.e. just loading the portion of your trip near its destination and turning the tracking on when we get close) The software also has a habit of crashing the phone requiring a reboot. IMHO it is not quite ready for "prime time" on a Windows Mobile device.
We decided to use the DeLorme package with a laptop to avoid the hassle. Seems to work fine with the laptop. However, since I purchased this package to use with my I730, I have to say that I am disappointed. DeLorme tech support has told me that there are no plans to update the Pocket PC software to enable transferring routes in such a way that they can be saved to the Storeage card. If they do, I will probably be satisfied.

Fantastic!!!..."but...." follow up?.......2005-05-29
I've had the Street Atlas and Earthmate combo for about 4 to 5 years and recently had to upgreade the computer from a Powerbook to a iBook...(I know...the screen went out, and it was cheaper to buy new) Anyway, the new computer has Tiger and now it doesnt' recognize the reciever. Delorme won't upgrade the system for Mac because..."they're only 4. 2 percent of the market! I can't get any help from them to get the unit working on the new computer and quite frankly, it's the only reason I put the old system back on this new computer! Street Atlas Rocks! and I can't imagine not having it. I need help. Route 66 sucks by comparrison.

I've been trying to get this product to show me the screens it shows on the packaging without success.
The voice interface has exhibited non-responsive commands.
Can't access the detailed street guides, nor am I able to find a screen for the detailed street directions that appear on the box!
When asked to compute the route, keep getting an error message. "Can't compute the route"!
They want you to go into selective commands from "msconfig" if certain apps don't work. They must be joking!!!!
Why would anyone want to mess with "msconfig" and risk screwing up your other apps??!!!!
Documentation is on line only!!!!!!!!
You can download a 122 page PDF file if you're so inclined.
I don't think so!!!
Their on-line suport page is a joke. No useable info for the problems that pop up for laptop use.

I received this product for Christmas, 2000. In general, it's an okay product with quite a few quirks.
First off, I have a PowerBook G3 Series which has no built-in serial port. The product doesn't include a USB adapter, but you can buy one from the Delorme website .... They say it will be available in "late December," but it is now December 30 and they're still saying that on their website. I ended up buying a couple different adapters off the web (one ... which doesn't say so but did include Mac drivers, and the Keyspan USB PDA Adapter), but neither one provides power to the GPS so you have to put 4 AAA batteries into the unit for it to work.
The Street Atlas software works okay. Its user interface is mostly standard -- the menus are set up like you would expect, but it has some pretty odd "features:" you have to "Command-click" to get the pop-up menu on the map, for instance (instead of "Control-clicking" as is standard in Macintosh OS 9). Its location search features are okay, but they rely heavily on knowing a zip code and some are [non-obviously] sensitive to the area of the map being viewed and even the current magnification level.
Integration between the software and the GPS is okay. I've been using it a while and still don't understand how the connection is maintained between the two. It seems that whenever you check the GPS status, it re-initializes itself. The software shows your current position and direction right on the map. The logging features are pretty poor, however -- all you can do is record your route then play it back at normal speed (yes, you can actually watch where you went in the same amount of time it took to do it the first time) or at 10 or 50 times normal speed. There appears to be no way to display your whole track, so you can't make your own maps of trails very easily.
The worst news of all is this the _only_ GPS solution I can find for the Macintosh. If you think you still need it, be sure to read through the help files and manual when you get it because of the quirks in the interface.

I really enjoy my 110S. I like a camera that does the thinking for me.This has the Active AutoFocus system which really works great; and the zoom is superior and easy to operate. Go from a panoramic to close-ups with ease. Anytime Flash system picked the right setting indoors and out; without any redeye.The viewfinder helps you center your subject and the LED tells you when to focus and the setting is correct. don't know about the other review who panned this little gem but mine is one of the best camera's I've ever had

It was not good camera for me.......2003-05-09
I tried 2 rolls of film (one 400 and another 800 speed) with this camera. I got about 10 good quality picture (not excellent) and others were bellow average. I returned this camera after that.
This camera feels and looks excellent, but I need camera for pictures...
Good All-Around One-Touch..........2003-01-23
I was looking for a good, easy, portable camera for vacations and quick snapshots. I am a proud owner of a Nikon F5, but, this camera is not easy to lug around on oneday vacations or a quick snap. This Nikon, given to me as a Christmas present, and it's a winner. It's small enough to fit in my pocket and takes excellent pictures. I give this camera two thumbs up!!!
