The layout of PlayStation2's Dual Shock 2 controller is nearly identical to that of the original PlayStation's Dual Shock controller, which is good news for most gamers. The main new feature is that, when the buttons are pushed, the controller can register how much pressure is being exerted. I Bought this controller from Amazon because it's cheaper than buying it at the store and it's delievered to your door. What more can you ask for? LOL!
Sony Playstation 2 Dualshock Controller Black.......2007-09-08
Just like the last 3 Sony controllers I bought, this one sucks. As soon as I plugged it in, and turned on the game, the person I was trying to control starting moving backwards at a pretty fast clip. When I got it to stop moving backwards, he starting moving to the right just as fast. It was impossible to control him. I have since purchased a controller from Alienware, and it works perfect. Sony sucks. They have lost all interest in quality control. They are going on their name alone. I have 2 sons who have exactly the same problem with thier Sony controllers. I was going to send it back, but I just figured it would be a hassle, so I threw it away. Forget Sony if you want anything with high quality. I am not someone who abuses the game counsels or any thing that has to do with them. I am 61 years old and have been playing video games for a looooooong time. And my sons are 32 years old and 41 years old. They are not abusive little kids.

Great controller, if you're short on money..........2006-08-11
Usually, I won't buy off-brand controllers, namely because I've had alot of bad luck with them in the past... But I needed another PS2 controller so I could play a game with my bros. I was short on money and couldn't afford to buy the name-brand PS2 Dual Shock controller that I needed, so I began searching for a cheaper one.
I'm happy to say that my purchase of this controller is not one that I regret. The controll looks, feels, and plays exactly the same as an ordinary Dual Shock 2 controller!
However, this controller is not without it's down sides, the cord is about a foot shorter than the one on the Dual Shock 2. The triangle, circle, X, and square buttons aren't marked. I had to label them myself so I would know what buttons to press. But it's not that bad, I just used some leftover labels for a blank VHS to mark them, but if you dont have those, a pen and some masking tape will do. And lastly, you have to apply a slight bit more thumb pressure to the buttons to get a reaction out of them.
Overall: I'm happy with my purchase of this controller. It's a shame that the buttons weren't marked, but I only paid 5 dollars for it, so I'm not complaining. Besides, it's easy enough to mark them yourself.
However... If you've got the money, I recommend buying the name brand Dual Shock 2 controller. This controller is fine if you're short on cash, but if you've got the money you're better of buying the Dual Shock 2 for it's extra cord length.
Note: Dont bother trying to mark the buttons using a permanant marker, it wont work.
