I was told by several people and Dell that you could not use anything but a Dell Cartridge. When I received the compatible cartridge I want everyone to know that it saved me several dollars and has worked as well as not better than the Dell product. I will buy all future cartridges from them.

I got this new with a new Dell PC and it served me well. The black ink cartridge holds quite a bit of ink so it doesn't rip you off like some of them. It prints black text very well, which is mostly what I use it for. I found it very reliable. I have no complaints with it.
Pffft.......2007-04-14
I needed a printer just to print out word documents for school with an occasional picture for a report. I didn't need anything fancy. About after a week of using it, it went haywire.
It ate paper and wouldn't feed correctly. And that was about six months ago, and it still does not print. I've had people look at it and they couldn't fix it.
It's a piece of Junk!

I recieved this printer for free, but I see that you can pretty much get this printer for next to nothing now on this website. The printer has two nice features, 1. it comes with free ink, and 2, it is possibly the most inexpensive printer you can buy. Aside from that, you get what you pay for. The papers never feed correctly, you get this stupid dell software that has about 5 add ons, that ask you to buy more printer ink every time you print something, some budget imaging software. Overall the quality of the product is terrible. I was in the middle of printing out resume's for a job fair and the printer head stopped functioning correctly (it did NOT run out of ink), I ended up with 3 out of 10 resumes thank god. The opportunity cost of buying a dependable printer is too high to settle for the cheapest printer money can buy. I suggest if you are looking for an inexpensive printer, buy the $30 HP, they have been making printers a lot longer than Dell and they are known for their great quality. I am buying the HP D2330 now, it has identical specs however it will feed paper correctly, and will have better quality parts.

Being honest this printer is not bad at all. In this technology age, people are looking for multifunctional printers that does everything, but write your homework for you. If you only need a printer that just prints this is a very great printer. This printer is perfect for children who do not need to fax and do other things. Even for adults who simply want to print documents. The size is perfect for the average desk space. It prints pretty fast despite the previous reviews. In fact it prints better than the printer i bought after it. It was a very new dell and I sent it back and kept using this one.

I have owned and used my lousy Dell 720 since I got it free with a Dell computer purchase several years ago. I have always purchased very expensive new ink cartridges from Dell until it recently occurred to me that I might be able to find cheaper options at Amazon.
I purchased this particular one with a bit of skepticism, which was confirmed shortly after receiving the product. It printed about four or five pages and was out of ink that quickly. However, I was pleased when I contacted the seller, and they sent me a replacement cartridge within days.
The replacement cartridge has lasted for a few months, but it has definitely not lasted as long as the cartridges that I used to purchase from Dell.
So, I think I'm going to try another seller to see if I can find one that lasts longer than this one. In any case, the customer service was quick and responsive, and the product worked well, just not as long as I had hoped.

my experience with eforcity........2007-05-30
I ordered a set of dell ink cartridges from eforcity in january and when i received them, the color cartridge only printed in red and the black cartridge lasted for 2 pages of printing. i was very dissapointed, as i have ordered these same cartridges from amazon several times and they were great. it took me 4 months before eforcity returned my money to me. this is not good customer service.
i told amazon that i would never use their company again but my daughter changed my mind. i can't blame amazon for one bad experience with a company, so i am trying again through another amazon company to get my cartridges.as long as the cartridges do not come from eforcity, i will try one more time.

The color ink cartridge was excellent, but the black ink cartridge only worked for a while in the highest printing quality, and then it just went dead. Now it does not print anything!
My recommendation is to only buy the color ink cartridge.

the color cartridges seem to be fine.the black ones I have to clean the cartridge head everytime i want to print.twice.uses alot of ink.they said i could exchange it. they worked with me, but i had to use one of them, didn't have a spare.so, maybe it was a bad batch. i know i won't order from them again.

Citizen's Band radios have fallen out of favor in the last decade or so, replaced by FRS, but they are still affordable and useful tools for highway travelers. When choosing a CB, few alternatives offer the range of a product like Midland's 77-092 40 Channel Mobile CB Radio when used in conjunction with a quality external antenna.
The Midland 77-092 is intended for permanent installation in your vehicle and involves putting screw holes in your dash and wiring the CB to your car's power supply. The included wiring was long enough for us to set the CB on the passenger seat, but that is far from the ideal configuration. An external speaker jack is located on the back of the unit along with a plug for the wire coming from the external antenna. A plug for the included push-to-talk microphone is on the front, as are the knobs for volume and squelch. You select channels with two small buttons, and they're displayed on a small, bright LCD screen.
This CB is remarkably light on features. There's no way to automatically scan through channels, and we couldn't pull in automated weather signals as some other units we've tested can. The 77-092's most striking feature is its small size. At less than 5 inches wide and only 1.5 inches thick, it should fit unobtrusively in nearly any vehicle. The included microphone is small but adequate, although it had a cheap feel. On the road, the radio's range was right in line with that of similar mobile units we've tested, and your results will vary, depending on the type of antenna you attach (which you'll have to buy separately). This product might be a good no-frills choice for those who plan to use their CB infrequently, but people who rely on the unit all the time will want one of Midland's more robust models. --T. The Midland 77-092 is definitely not overloaded with features, but it is a good low cost general purpose transceiver. I use it as a mobile unit with the Midland 18-2983 magnet mount antenna and am pleased with both products.
the dissapearing citizen band.......2002-05-23
Class D citizen band provides an excelent very short distance communication. With the FCC only legally allowing 4 watts on 11 meters your range is very limited; all CB's can potentially be modified however for a illegal higher output. Unless your running a half wave base antenna, a nice beam, or a extremely long hi-gain mobile antenna dont expect much from this rig, or any other CB rig. With the new FRS fad they are pounding in the 2 mile range... however this is not true because one they run in (FM)frequency modulation mode which has excelent sound but its mainly line of sight communication only, two they have extreme power restrictions and no external antennas; those 350 miliwatts of power will barely get you a mile unless your in an excelent terrain. I highly recomend AM mode for distance, however if your going to buy a CB get one with (SSB) single side band which will allow you to use a portion of an AM wave the upper or lower part. In side band mode your 4 watt radio will produce 12 watts of legal power because you are only using the top, or bottom part of a wave without a carrier, this tends to be garbled so constant adjustment with the clarifier nobb may be neaded. As well on CB..11 meters if your lucky in the heat of the summer days the band accasionaly will open up and allow your radio wave to skip clear across the world; this is rare though running such low power but it is possible and ive seen it happen. But for those who seek the distance of radio Amateur (HAM) radio is what its all about. The FCC has made it possible to become a liscensed ham operator without knowing morse code anymore and a 35 question test which you can pass with a 70%. As a ham operator i can tell you its very rewarding, repeaters are free to use and usually have about a 25-40 mile range which you can hit with just miliwatts of power, or for those who seek long communications it is legal to run up to 1.5 kilowatts (1500 watts) of brute power. Although this is not neaded you can easily work the world with low power on certain bands. And with repeater ive hit some of them next to 100 miles away running only 5 watts on 2 meter fm. but thats all i have to say

Great CB.......2000-06-11
This Cb is great I have been using it for a while now and I love it. You do have to go to radio shack and get a cigarette adapter and splice the wires but its common sence stuff. and I didn't mount it. it sits fine in my ranger. You should get a good antenna I got a plastic whip at radio shack for about 20 bucks and it gets out far. The only thing you might consider is a filter because when the car runs it makes a buzz noise not lound just annoying but its nothing that you couldn't fix with your squelch because when you talk it goes away and when you get someone talking to you it will go away but if you are one that needs everything perfect go get it at radio shack. but other than that no problems! Its Great GET IT!

I'm reasonably happy with my new cb but I have to admit I wasn't prepared for the installation. I'm not a car guy and I was expecting a cigarette lighter power supply. I needed up having to use alligator clips to connect the bare wire sticking out the back to the accessory panel in my 98 Honda's fuse assembly. This is a fine radio but was more of an installation hassle than I thought. If you have the gusto to mess with your cars electrical system then go for it. Otherwise it can be plugged into your cigarette lighter (not an option for me because of my radar detector) regardless it means a trip to pep boys to finish it up. It also requires you to screw holes in your dash, which most people won't do. I keep loose next to my seat.
