Best GMRS radio I've found.......2007-09-23
We recently purchased the GXT710 rechargable 26 mile Midland GMRS radios through Amazon. This is the third set of Midland GRMS radios and the sixth set, including other brands we've purchased. We use the radios aboard cruise ships and find the GXT 710 to be the best we've owned. From ship to shore, the reception was great and on most places of Mariner of the Seas, the reception was also great. I've found the more powerful the radio, the better the signal penetrates the metal and other obstacles aboard ships and on hiking trails. The GXT710 is not necessairly more powerful than the previous models, however the antenna is longer on this model and appears to help.

Chances are you're looking to upgrade your radios to a more powerful set. These radios have the maximum wattage currently allowed by law and transmit and receive clearly. Since I've only used them in outer space, they will do the mileage stated and then some. More earthly type users can expect diminished mileage account not being in the line of sight. I highly recommend this pair, however a gravity holster would be a plus.

We bought 5 pairs of the GTX710VP3. They are working very well, we're using them in a 6 story building in New York City. I had one person in the basement, while the other went a couple of blocks away and it worked fine.

From a controls perspective, the PSP is made for gaming. If you're familiar with a PlayStation controller, you'll be a pro at the PSP's controls in no time. Supported Media
At the heart of the PSP is a new, proprietary media format known as the Universal Media Disc, or UMD. Each UMD can hold 1.8 GB of data, enough room for rich and complex games. Sony has declared the UMD an open format for developers and media content owners, so movies, music and other media are on the horizon from third parties. With Memory Stick Duo media, you can store your saved games, downloaded online content, personal video and audio files, and more. When you want access to these files from your PC, simply use the PSP's USB 2.0 port to turn the device into a fast portable media drive. Then, drag and drop files such as your photos, MP3s, and videos onto the PSP, just as you would any other removable storage device. The PSP ships with a 32 MB Memory Stick Duo, and additional media with higher storage capacities are available.

Connectivity
The PSP blows away the competition in the connectivity department. Indeed, the PSP's ability to connect to the internet, and to other PSPs and USB-based peripherals, is a real advantage. At the top of the list is Wifi connectivity, or IEEE 801.11b. Use this wireless internet standard to connect to other gamers around the world for hot multiplayer action--all from your couch, or your local Wifi hotspot. As mentioned, the PSP's USB 2.0 port is great for PC connectivity, but it also opens the PSP up for a whole range of future peripherals. Sony has plans for the PSP in other ways, too; the unit's infrared port speaks of remote control capabilities in the near future.
A Digital Companion
If you haven't already guessed, Sony has positioned the PSP to be much more than a gaming device. Out of the box, the device is ready to serve as a portable video player and photo viewer. By using the new H.264 MPEG-4 video standard, Sony obviously has its eyes on making the PSP a robust video device with support for feature length movies and more. In addition, the PSP offers a great way to transport and share your photos in JPEG format. And let's not forget the music. Load up your favorite MP3-encoded songs onto a Memory Stick Duo and you've got a portable audio powerhouse. I love the PSP. it is great. I ordered it on Sunday and got it on Friday. The only bad thing was i didn't recieve the soft case, and some other little items, but I contacted the company and they replied in one day and are sending the items to me free of charge. One thing to make sure you know is that all these are opened packages, so if you don't mind that then this is a great buy, and way cheaper than any stores. Overall it was a great buy.

Videos: haven't watched videos, old crappy mpeg4 is hard to find, I recommend Videora software to convert videos to the proper type, but movies in UMD are recommended, the size may get u all angry, and the umd movies are quite more expensive, I'd rather watch DVDs.
TO GIVE THIS LIST AN END I just wanna say that this console rocks and I recommend it a 98% percent, nevermind watcha gotta get for it.

The PSP is a nice game system released by Sony. It has many features that are awesome when on the go or even at home. Features includes: games(Universal Media Disks/UMD), MP3, movies(UMD), internent(wireless connection is needed, of course), and you can also download videos and photos onto your PSP. This value pack has pretty much what you need, except for games that is. It includes headphones w/remote, cleaning cloth, charger, battery pack, 32mb memory stick pro duo, and the PSP soft case. If you need game suggestions I would reccomend: Pursuit Force, Daxter, Ratchet and Clank:Size Matters, Full Auto 2, and also Burnout: Dominator. So as you can see, this IS the ultimate multi gaming device!!!!PSP:A+. Hope this review helps you if need games on the go.

I love this! I take it with us whenever we are traveling by auto, and to dialysis to pass the time. The picture quality is wonderful. Although it has to be tilted the right way during sunlight hours. The sound volumn could be a bit better when not using the earphones, but overall I am very pleased with my purchase.

We took this DVD player to Italy with us for an 18-day family vacation. It was a lifesaver for our 7 & 9 year-old children. After a day of sightseeing, they would watch a movie back at the hotel prior to dinner. Also, it was good for long train rides. The headsets were comfortable (my husband and I used them on the airplane)and the screen was bright. We also watched a movie one night without the headphones -- and everyone could easily hear. Highly recommend.

lacking in extras.......2007-05-25
I assumed this had the features listed for other Gxt series but it doesn't. The radio has 1 senitivity level for vox (as oppossed to 3), has no 100+privacy channel availability (like other gxt models), no NOAA weather channel, and no rechargable battery pack (which I didnt' expect it to). The range was about the same or slightly less that the uniden 2059ck (20 mile) set I also got (7-8 blocks where one is in the house and the other is in a car). The uniden had much better features (see my review). The brochure they send with the unit states " all gxt series radios" and then list the features including 3 levels of VOX, 121 privacy codes, monitor and channel scan (there is monitor feature but no scan), vibrate alert, noaa weather channel. I got the surveillance headsets and on vox they work well (although you have to turn your head to your lapel to talk into the mic and be heard). Antonline is great, I got the product in 1 week from order, shipped next day UPS.

What a Nightmare!.......2007-06-10
I was really looking forward to my new S50. Unfortunately, Sirius could not activate it. So I went through a series of support calls that ended three hours later with Sirius coaching me through an update of the unit's firmware using my computer and a huge software download from Sirius. No luck. So the tech said to return it. The box it came had stickers on it that said it could not be returned to the seller (Tiger Direct, via Amazon) which Sirius said violates their agreement with Amazon. Sirius does not warrantee the radio for the first 30 days and will not accept returns during that time. But the lady at Tiger Direct allowed us to return it. Seems this is a problem item for them. So I went to Best Buy to get a working version, but they don't carry it. The clerk told me they had problems with that model and don't sell it any longer. I bought the ST4 and had it installed. Its great! The sound is excellent and it has all the features I need for alot less money. You couldn't GIVE me an S50! If I need to carry music with me I will get an Ipod.

This is the most perfect creation since online shopping. Seriously, this is an amazing radio with the most spectacular, user friendly options. This single device has skyrocketed my exercising motivation and my daily joy of driving. Not only can you download your own songs but any song you hear on the satellite radio broadcast you can save as well. Shuffle the songs and you have an outstanding array of your favorites. Sleek design looks perfect in the Benz too!
Like DVD / TiVO for you radio.......2007-02-17
I am pleased with the unit. It functions well and looks great. The sound, as well as the viraity, is great, and the preformance of the unit is near flawless. You can record and rewind what you are listening to, plus you can load your own stuff. I travel a lot and it it is great to have. I haven't used it as an MP3 player yet, but so far it is a great unit. The only draw back that I see is that there are still national shows that have not signed on yet, but if you like sports, this is for you.
BREAKS DOWN!! BUYERS BEWARE!!.......2007-02-13
I purchased the S50 w/ both car and home dock when it was first available which set me back over $400 dollars. Now after only 13 months it has completely quit working and I have been told it is no longer under warranty. Sirius has told me to simply buy a new one. I'm having a hard time with this due to the fact that my previous Sirius radio (a Blaupunkt model) also broke down completely after 13 months.

Best features:
Looks cool.
Remote is very handy. Wouldn't think so, but the remote gives you so many more buttons right at your fingertips.
Sound quality is excellent.
Nice screen size shows artist, song name, station, sometimes other features, all very clear.
Records as you play, so you can back up a bit if you miss something (if you're listening to talk radio shows)
You can record your favorite shows.
If you leave it in the dock while you're at work or in the house, it will have recorded whatever station you're on so that when you jump in the car, you just back it up a bit, then you can jump right over the commercials they have on talk radio.
Great mount. Very slick mounting system lets you get it where you want it.
Cons:
The unit does seem to glitch out on me. Sometimes the buttons quit working, sometimes it is supposedly transmitting but no sound is coming out of my stereo, sometimes it completely freezes up. Always easy to fix, just shut it off and turn back on, but annoying as heck. I'd give it 5 stars if it weren't for it glitching out.
The little removeable unit seems like it is potentially tempting to steal, so I feel compelled to have to take it out of the car every night or when I park somewhere for a few hours. That's just me, though
Overall:
For the price, I think it is an awesome unit. It's the difference between regular TV and TV with TIVO. For those with a TIVO (or DVR), you know how huge a difference it is!

I bought this product as a replacement for the original battery pack. I am satisfied with its performance the battery lasts longer then the original battery pack. I how ever am not to keen on the design of the product as the original pack broke the replacement is not any better quality. If you own one you may or may not know but were the battery latches at the bottom is a very thin plastic thus if you drop it it breaks. other then that completely satisfied.
