Not too bad.......2007-04-21

I am by no means a professional photographer, but was looking for a cheap camera to take family photos with and this one has worked pretty well. It take great pictures outdoors. If you are taking pics indoors in low light you really have to mess with the settings to get a good pic, but its possible. It does seem to have a long battery life. I did have to search quite a bit to find it can take a memory card. I am using mine with a 1GB SD card. Without the card you can take only about 15-25 pics using good quality. The manual doesn't go in depth on using all the different settings on the camera so I would suggest taking some test shots trying all the different settings before taking pictures. Everything can be set to auto, but I found that, especially when taking pics indoors, you need to set the exposure to something other than auto, or the pics will not come out right.

5 megapixels for the price, you cant beat that. Its got all the functions of some of the other well known cameras but at half the price. I have no complaints and neither will you.

The camera has excellent features for the price. I wouldn't trade it for the world. Some things that are lacking: analog zoom, rechargeable battery. Add those features and the camera is unbeatable.

Also, the battery compartment is pretty flimsy. The plastic it is made of is easy to break. Keep scotch tape handy.

I thought this camera would be smaller, due to the description. The pictures on the screen look fuzzy. I am a bit disappointed with my purchase. I think it was ok for everyday use.

Best bang for the buck. Its easy to use, takes pretty decent pictures, the battery life isn't bad, makes good videos with voice recording, compact, and it's durable. if you are looking for a cheap camera with decent quality, a back up camera, or just a starter, this is for you. Keep in mind, this is a $60 camera.

You get what you pay for but this is a pretty amazing little camera if you just want something inexpensive. I should point out that the highest quality photo setting takes about 5 seconds which can be irritating if you're in a hurry. I shoot homemade movies with this camera and edit them with Windows Movie Maker. The 30 fps is certainly not the best but it'll do for now. It's also perfect for sneaking into concerts with since it's so small. It takes gorgeous pictures outside in the right setting. The amount of features it has makes it worth it.

Mustek Adventure DV3 NOT Mac Compatible.......2006-05-01

I bought this camera for a birthday gift. Since no one has this in a store, one really has to trust the advertising. It is a solid little camera, really, but don't be fooled by the MPEG-4 advertising. It will not be compatible with either Quicktime or iMovie on a Mac. It saves files as a .asf, which you will need a video converter to convert to use on a Mac. You might get lucky on a PC, but even then the files were compressed using a weird "codec" and there was additional software plug-ins needed. If you are not a tech geek, avoid this camera.

Inexpensive but not cheap.......2006-01-18

I wanted pics, video, audio, etc all-in-one for a little money. Amazingly, my DV3 does this for me. The video quality is low but good enough. I'm not SPielberg. You can adjust the pic resolution which is nice. You can store a variety of media at the same time. You can shoot video then snap some pics then go back to video. You can review all the media before you get back to your computer.
And, this thing is tiny. It's not cheaply made. It seems as well built as a more expensive model.
My biggest complaint is that my 6 year old wants to shoot video all the time and I'm afraid she'll drop it.

The Mustek Adventure DV3 camera is fantastic. The battery life is long, outside video was fantastic, and the camera is wonderful. Only one problem found: mp3 player only lasts 25 minutes on new batteries. I added a 512 M SD card for 30 bucks. I still can't believe the camera w batteries, shipping and tax was just $84.

It fills a niche.......2005-07-23

Unless you're a professional photographer, you probably wouldn't want to carry an expensive camera with you on a daily basis. This is a great little camera to carry around 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It's comfortable in your pocket while the lens stays under its protective cover. Dead batteries? pop in new AAA's. The 16MB internal memory will probably be enough to get you through a day of casual snapshots, even though you could expand it. Finally, if you lose or break the camera, you're out less than $100.

Yes, let's be honest, the picture quality sucks compared to a higher-end digicam, so by no means should this be your only camera. But this little guy will be there for you when you wouldn't otherwise have a camera on you, and a so-so picture is better than none at all.

Waste of money.......2005-06-14

I purchased this camera because I thought it really was going to give me good pictures (I thought being a 5.0 MP camara was going to be good and enought) but the reallity is that this camara is limited and pictures are not of good quality. Even if you use the "fine" option your pictures are always dark and blur. I waste my money on this. I sincerely recommend you not to buy it. I don't know why other people have given a 5-star rating.

Pretty good camera.......2007-05-14

The Mustek 5MP is easier to use than almost any camera ive seen. I have mp3s stored as well as songs ive written on guitar, the movies are good if ypou have a mempory card to store the longer ones. The camera is great, except that it lacks a flash, other than this, I highly reccommend it.

It's a cheap toy..........2005-09-14

...so why does it cost so much?

I got this because it was very small and could be a MP3 player as well as a camera. I was hoping to replace my 1.3Mpixel Kodak digital camera. I'm still using the Kodak.

This camera has extremely poor color and focus. Images from it look like they were taken with a cheap webcam. The zoom is entirely digital, so it just makes the bad pictures worse.

The MP3 playback is also bad. It does play MP3s, but I found that it had excessive treble and very little bass, so everything sounded tinny.

The user interface is not bad for the photo modes, but it isn't very good for playing MP3s, especially if you have a lot of MP3s.

I was so disappointed with this that I've entirely stopped using it, in favor of a single-function digital camera that is nearly 5 years old.

The audio on the receiver is really bad. The voice tone you hear is very harsh and it is difficult to hear the person speaking to you.Every adjustment I've tried doesn't help the problem. I often have to ask the person I'm talking to, to repeat what they said. It seems that the person I am speaking to has no problem hearing me on his end.
Talk about basics...What good is a phone that has poor reception? I don't know yet whether or not the problem can be corrected with a replacement handset. Also I was not made aware that this telephone needs to be near an electrical outlet in order to function. V.S.Simon, Houston,Texas

I was looking for a coreded phone that I could plug my standard headset into. I went to Staples to see which phones had this capability, and the Panasonic KX-TSC14B did, and at a reasonable price. Please note that I did not require a 2-line phone; it seems that all phones with a headset jack (at least at Staples) were 2-line phones.

I purchased the phone and was disappointed. For some reason it made my headset sound very hollow. As the previous reviewer noted, there is no mute button -- I guess I should have realized that sooner. The other annoying "feature" was if I had the headset plugged in, the calls were always routed to the headset; even when I picked up the handset! I could not figure out how to change this behavior.

I returned the phone and started my search again. I found a company that makes great Home Office phones... Aastra. I HIGHLY recommend their phones... or at least the PT-470 which I wound up purchasing. They also make 2-line phones. Do a Google search for "Aastra".

So corded phones have now joined the ranks of junk "consumable" electronics along with hair driers and toaster ovens? In my search for a decent 2 line corded phone with caller ID, I purchased and with great disappointment returned 2 AT&T models (once the gold standard of all phones!)and finally, several months into the process, exhausted and desparate, settled on this Panasonic. Unlike the AT&Ts, all of the features work, but there is no mute, no reserve power supply (for shame!)and the LED screen is impossible to read from any angle except from directly above. I do not recommend this or any other two line phone. The situation is pathetic!
