System Error and Warning! Remove Lens Cap error NIkon coolpix 885.......2007-05-31

I have had this camera since 2000 and it was my first digital. However during my sons college graduation last year I received the System Error message (which meant no pictures) and after powering down and up again received the Warning! Remove Lens Cap error (lens cap not on). I couldn't use it all that weekend but a week later it worked fine so I thought it was the southern heat. However, it has started with both errors again and I cannot use it for anything. It even says System Error then it is turned off (hmmm). Can't say I would buy another Nikon. I had a Canon for 10 years (old film) and it still working fine.

Fantastic camera...at least for me.......2006-05-02

I bought this camera in 2001 for $500. That was alot of money but I have gotten my moneys worth and then some with this camera. I love everything about it. I just recently decided to purchase more megapixels for my scrapbooking but thought long and hard about it before doing this. I read reviews and searched for cameras and finally decided to stay with the nikon. I bought a coolpix p4 from Best Buy and got the extended warranty but so far I LOVE this camera also. I am so sorry it got bad reviews. I have a fantastic camera here that I am going to sell and don't even know if I want to do that as I have loved it so much. For me Nikon has been great.

Nikon Coolpix 885 SYSTEM ERROR.......2004-04-30

I purchased a Coolpix 885 in April 2002. Within a few weeks I encountered a "SYSTEM ERROR" message. I got the camera replaced because it was under new camera warranty. I recently tried to use the custom settings to take pictures in poor light and encountered the "SYSTEM ERROR" message again. I believe there is a problem with using this mode. Based on other reviews and given the lack of positive action to address this issue I could not recommend this camera. I have given it 1 star because I have taken around 950 good pictures using the auto modes only.

The infamious "system error" appeared on my camera after 12 months. I learned after a searh on the web that this a common eroor in all Nikon digital cameras and the firm is doing nothing to fix it. DONT BUY

The Orb is AMAZING.......2000-04-27

I bought my Orb drive for home use on the same day that I picked up a Zip drive for use at work. I cannot begin to describe how different these two products are.

The Orb behaves almost exactly like a hard drive. It's very, very fast. The only noticeable difference is the slight spin time (which you can adjust through the software). The Zip (while the media may be ubiquitous) is really too small to be useful these days. The addition of the 250 mb model is a step in the right direction, but it's clear that Iomega dropped the ball here. Castlewood has bridged the gap between the capacity of the very slow tape backup drive and the convenience of a removeable disk.

Great Product despite reported problems.......1999-12-03

Purchased this drive about two months ago and have found it to be the best (and cheapest) option for massive amounts of storage. Despite some reported problems in various reviews, I have not had even one problem with this drive and routinely use it to back up my hd and to store multimedia like MP3's. At $ for each 2.2gig cartridge, the ORB can't be beat!

Good, fast, cheap storage.......1999-11-19

Remember when you got your Zip drive and suddenly floppies seemed, well, puny? After a bit of time with the Orb drive, you'll feel the same way about your Zips.

The two devices are in about the same price range and are both available in external and internal configurations. The Orb media is two to three times more expensive (for now), but look at it this way--you could hold 20 Zip disks on one Orb disk! Add the fact that the Orb drive is as fast (or faster) than many for-real hard drives, and you've got a winner.

My one complaint? The fiddly door on the front keeps dropping down, getting in the way, and makes swapping disks a bit of a hassle. A small price to pay, however, for 2.2 gigs of fast, removable storage. I've had mine for a month now, and it continues to work like a charm.

If you want high quality sound then look no further because this unit blows away the competition I heard yamaha ,onkyo ,sony ,technics,kenwood ,harmon karden,and NONE of them even came close to the sound quality because the DENON just beat them all.The bass was unbeatable the sound reproduction was state of the art and unsurpassed .Now if that does'nt convince you then go and find a denon dealer and listen for yourself....

Ive had this pc since april and it has worked great- good value for the money- but of course you have to buy many other things to go with it. But its great value , its fast performance and ive had no complaints with it since purchase. It has dvd/cd rom -256 mb, 80 cb, and has a great look to it. This one shown is blue but mine came in Black/Silver color. Very nice/highly recomended. Worth Money.

This system cost as much as much faster systems. Why pay the money for a 1.8GHz CPU when you can have a 2.4GHz CPU? Maybe this was a good deal last year but it's out of date now.

MORE BANG FOR THE BUCK.......2003-08-02

I looked at several computers in this price range and this system for the money was the best. The fast speed of the AMD 1.8Ghz processor is great and with all of the software and expandibility this system simply can't be beat.Plays DVD'sand burns CD's flawlessly.My friend paid twice as much for another system and this Compaq(HP)package not only outperforms his but comes with more features. Highly recommend it.
