Finally had to join the twenty first century and go hands free. Spent time researching and talking to others about bluetooth headsets. It works very well with my Motorola Q (that has it own issues-think twice before you get one). It is very comfortable for wearing all day and the battery life is great. It recharges quickly and connects in a flash. The sound is wonderful and better yet, the people you are talking to can hear you clearly, even outside on a windy day. Highly recommended if you are thinking of getting one of these devices.

This is my fourth Blue Tooth headset, and I am very pleased with it. I had one other Plantronics and two Motorola's. I drive a truck occasionally and people always complain that they could not hear me, just all the noise. This headset only picks up my voice, even with the window down people can hear me clearly! I had spent quite a bit more for the previous headsets. What a great find on Amazon for only $50! I learned about this product from a friend of mine who also drives a truck. I am so glad I found it. A truly outstanding device, well worth the money!

Multipoint Technology - Where?.......2007-09-24

I bought this headset specifically for its ability to connect to multiple devices (phone and laptop) at the same time. However, it doesn't seem to, pairing with one device always loses paring with the other. The Plantronics documentation (user guide included with the device as well as what I can find on their web site) doesn't even mention multipoint.

I bought this headphone to improve the quality of my skype calls. I used to talk directly to the laptop. While it's convenient, some people get annoyed because they think I am on a speaker phone. This headphone does a decent job in providing a regular phone like experience to the people I am calling. The only thing I don't like is the size. It's bigger than I expected, and feels kind of clumsy. But for $14 bucks, I can certainly live with it.

The sound quality, and voice output quality are good. However, I like the Logitech USB 350 much better. It is double the money, but the volumn, and mute button are much better. Also, for voice activation, the 350 is more relibale. While this unit will activate under normal voice if set up properly, a slight shake of the head will trigger it, not an issue with the 350. Spend the extra money on the 350.

Excellent for what I needed it for.......2007-09-15

So, I bought a few of these in bulk from a local retailer, and for the price I paid, I got more than I expected. Each headset (so far) has lasted about a 10 months to 1 year before any noticeable defects arise, and when that does happen, I just move on to the next headset. I'm an intense gamer, so a headset lasting a year is extremely good for $20 a pop. I can only imagine how long they would last under less extreme circumstances. Extremely cheap for the duration and durability of the first year. This is the headset to get if you like high quality sound, low costs, and aren't afraid to replace a product, then this Headset is probably for you.

This headset is OK for the price. The loudspeaker part is fine, but the microphone is only OK, so my voice is soft and sounds a little different (but still understandable) for the person on the other end. If you want a better headset, I suggest paying a little more and getting the Plantronics M175. I have both of these headsets, and I think the M175 is worth the extra cost.

I buy one or two of these Panasonic KX-TCA60's a year, since I tend to roll over cords and otherwise abuse my headsets. I've used them in a variety of cordless phones, and they're better than some headsets I've paid way more for, including my $39 Plantronics headset (which can't even match the volume or sound quality of this cheapo set).

I got these cute little things in desperation after having a set of Bose TriPort earbuds for almost a year and losing the rubber tips again and again. I swore I wouldn't use them anymore.

I've had these for a couple of months and simply love them. They fit perfectly in my ear and it's much, much more difficult the get the rubber tips off.

The real kicker is the sound quality. The full spectrum is audible, and the fact that the rubber tips seal inside your ear provides a certain measure of noise isolation (not cancellation, of course, but isolation). This makes a big difference in hearing both musical resonance and depth of voices in the spoken word.

Don't hesitate - they're a steal for the price, quality, and peace of mind.

I've had the JBuds for nearly a year now, and they've held up well. I would say that the noise reduction is decent, but not as significant as with my battery-powered Sony MDR-NC6. Very comfortable and good quality manufacturing.

These are amazing. Forget the price tag (which itself is a bargain), these ear buds sound really good. I did a side-by-side comparisons with Apple (in-box), Creative (in-box), Phillips noise reduction and Sennheiser PXC 250 noise reduction and I could not believe that JBuds sounded better! The ambient noise blocking is pretty good too. However, I am not sure how well it will work in a plane. The in-ear fit is pretty comfortable. Although no audiophile, I am pretty fussy about my sound quality. JBuds definitely made me happy.

The Motorola HS850 is the company's update to their HS810 headset, one of my personal favorites. The changes made to produce the new HS850 are few, but the effect is relatively substantial. But first, let's start with what is the same.

Like the HS810, the HS850 makes use of a body design that employs a folding microphone boom. The folding microphone boom acts as the on and off switch, as well as just providing a convenient way to make the headset smaller and more pocketable when not in use. When a call comes into your phone, you can turn on and answer the phone at the same time just by unfolding the microphone boom. You can end the call and turn it off by removing the headset and re-folding it. Using the headset in this way conserves battery power, since no battery juice is wasted on standby time - time where the headset sits around waiting to be contacted by a mobile phone or other compatible device. The physical design of the HS850 and the battery savings it imparts is my favorite aspect of the Motorola HS850.

Of course you don't have to remove and turn off the headset between calls. If the headset is already on when an inbound call comes, you will hear the ringing come through on the headset and can answer it by pressing on the main multi-function call control button. You can end the call with this same button, and adjust volume levels with the two volume buttons. If you are using a phone that supports the Hands Free Bluetooth profile, then you can also use the call control button to reject an inbound call or redial the last number.

The HS850's audio properties are also like those of the HS810 before it. The audio quality in both directions is very clear and understandable, but sounds a bit thin. You and the party on the other end of the call will both be able to understand each other easily, it just doesn't sound as full and natural as it might with some other headsets. The HS850 makes up for this small lacking by having great resistance to wind noise, though. That makes the headset perfect for people that enjoy driving with their windows down, or those that work outside. Most headsets are very susceptible to wind noise, the HS850 bucks that trend.

And now for the new stuff. First up, a more powerful battery. The HS850 I tested managed an amazing 7 hours and 50 minutes of talk time. That is a full two thirds improvement over the older model. The truly amazing part is that this new battery life didn't come at the expense of added weight. Like the HS810 before it, the HS850 weighs only .7oz (19.9g).

The next major change perhaps sounds more important than it worked out to be in reality. The HS850 supports the newer Bluetooth v1.2 spec, whereas most headsets support v1.1 only. Motorola claims that when used with a v1.2 compatible phone (there are still relatively few available at the time I write this), the HS850 will be able to connect faster, use less battery power, and offer improved audio quality. While I can see what appears to be a slight improvement in connection speed, I haven't really noticed much of a change in battery life or audio quality.

The last major change is purely cosmetic. The new HS850 headset is blue-gray in color, like a darker version of the HS810's color. I find it more attractive than the light silver found on the HS810.

But regardless of the color, you can't go wrong with Motorola's HS850, which I consider to be perhaps the best value on the market.

Battery life ~40 mins for mine.......2007-09-23

I probably got a defective HS850, but its battery life is really short. It needs to be recharged even when off (after about 3 days sitting there it's flat), and the talk time is 40 minutes tops. After what I paid for this when it just came out (August '06), I expected far more from a Motorola product. Sound quality and connectivity to my LG CU500 is fine, though. I wish it had a mute button---I'm replacing the headset, and it's one feature I will be looking for.

I was extremely disappointed to find when I purchased this item that it did not work. As soon as I plugged it in to charge it never took the charge, on top of which the seller tells me to return the item ( not offering to pay for the cost of returning it )and they would replace the item, the reply to my initial complaint took 3 days, I wouldn't say I would not recommend the item, but I would not recomment the seller

I have to say that this was a big disappointment. This is my first bluetooth headset and if this is the way they all are .. its not for me. It seems to be fine for me and I am able to hear people very clearly but others say that I am very broken up, almost like a bad speaker phone, where parts of the words are missing. I would think twice before purchasing this item due to this problem. I have a brand new phone and had it checked out and they said it was the headset. It might be just defective or maybe this is normal who knows. I will have to try others to be convinced on this bluetooth technology.

Leftover.......2007-09-14

Seems like for the good price, you get the leftover gear. They sent me a left-handed set...which can be switched around, but the buttons are reversed. Also, the battery life is terrible and it just cuts out in the middle of conversations even though the battery still has charge in it...usually just after charging. I think for this price, we're getting the factory rejects.

Great alternative to flimsy 1/8" audio connectors.......2007-09-26

Although my ears feel a bit cramped after some long headset use, using USB as a mic/headphone connector is far superior to the 1/8 inch audio jack/plug combination which is easily damaged with frequent use. On the downside, after disconnecting/reconnecting the USB connector, you may have to stop and restart certain applications (like messaging for headphone use or games for using speakers instead of headphones). Still, a great alternative to standard headsets.

You can read all the reviews you want, but sometimes you aren't sure if people are exaggerating. I bought these a few days ago because standard plug microphones don't work on my computer. Until now I'd been using Sennheiser PC150.
CONS: Immediately after putting on the Logitech headset the top of my head hurt as there is absolutely no padding on the top. The padding on the ear pieces are vinyl, very thin, and caused my ears great pains. The pain is greater if you wear glasses, but even without they can be quite painful. The mute button really is very sensitive and as it hangs around the lap it tends to get pressed accidentally. If you unplug them while playing online games or using ventrilo you have to close the applications for sound to resume.
PROS: They are plug and play with no drivers required (at least for XP). The noise cancelling is superb, eliminates most background noise (and even the wife). The sound quality and bass response is good for the price. Works well with ventrilo and was told I sounded just as clear as with my more expensive set. Auto mutes speakers once connected. The most promising thing about them is the are not suseptable to noise interferance from nearby cell phones.

Summary: I don't recommend them because of their comfort level, but performance wise this headset is good. Personally I will never wear mine again.

- Ear pads easily come apart.
- If you have sensitive ears, it will be really uncomfortable after 10-20 minutes since it covers and applies a small amount of pressure on your ears. Also it's not that light.
- After using occasionaly for 1 year, one of the speakers stopped working. Logitech replaced it with a brand new one. I paid for my part of the shipment.

Pro:
- I give easily 4 stars for sound quality.

General notes:
- It's year 2007 and still there are no affordable non-bluetooth and long range headsets similar to this one out there.

Uncomfortable.......2007-09-20

My father had a pair of these lying around the house, and I decided to try them out when my old headset's microphone stopped working. I'm 5'4, female, very tiny, and these were so uncomfortable on my ears that even though the sound quality was great, I couldn't wear them for more than a half-hour at a time. I don't wear glasses, though I do have one earring on the top cartilage of my left ear, both ears hurt badly.

This is the new wireless headset designed around Halo3 it works way better than all the other headsets made for the 360. They fixed the connection problems with the unit meaning (No More Droped or lagged connections), Increased Batt life (Meaning longer playtime than the origional) and best of all it's a Halo3 product which looks pretty cool and high tech when battling online & chatting. I gave the product 4 stars because when it gets here it works great . It is exactly what I need . I work from home doing customer service calls , so this unit has the mute button you push when you need it , not the kind that you have to click off and on . My only reason not giving it 5 stars is that they dont last long , but I believe you get what ya pay for . The price has gone down . I am on my 4th pair . If they made anoth set that was more durable with the same features I would buy it , but to date I havent found one . As far as all the other stuff like the shipping , no problems at all . I have been a very lucky customer with Amazon ( knock on wood )

The KX-TCA92 is a great headset for the price. We are headset people and really put these thing to good use. This baby does the job of the higher priced models in the $119 range such as volume controls and mute. I love the way the set folds up for storage in a drawer. Its light on the head yet tough on wear and comfortable on the ear. The mic extension fits near the mouth and everyone can hear me very well. A+

My Very Favorite.......2007-08-07

This headset is by far the best wired headset I have ever purchased and owned. I have been using 2 of these for the past few years and when my local retailer had no stock I bought a different brand. My wife and I use headsets extensively and the alternate brand just didn't do it for us. When I saw that Amazon had them I bought 3 sets. 2 for immediate addition to the 2 we still use and one for a back-up. Summary: We love this headset!

Comfortable Fit, Clear Sound, but Very Low Output.......2007-08-06

I purchased this telephone headset for my wife, to use with our Panasonic 5.8 GHz cordless telephone system. We have had it now for several weeks and our opinion of this device is a bit mixed. The headset fits well and is comfortable to wear for extended periods of time. The incoming sound (through the ear speaker) is very clear and has great tonal quality. Our only complaint is that the microphone output is quite low. People on the other end of our calls can barely hear us at times. We thought maybe we had a defective headset so we purchased another one. The results were the same. We have even replaced our Panasonic telephone system, since we purhcased this headset, with another Panasonic model. People still complain that they can barely hear us when talking with us while we are using the heaset. I would have thought that Panasonic would have done a better job at matching their headset with their phone systems. Either that or they need to provide a variable output control for their headsets, to allow for more powerful outgoing volume from the microphone. Hopefully Panasonic will consider adding this feature on their future headsets.

Beware of terrible mute button.......2007-08-04

I had only read a few of the reviews here (shame on me!), so I didn't realize that this headset's mute button has to be held down constantly for mute. That basically makes the mute button useless.

In addition, the sound quality was not particularly good. The other person could not hear me very well. I could hear them about average.

On the plus side, the folding parts "click" open (unlike some others I've had) so the headset doesn't crumple as soon as you take it off. Also the headset is reasonably comfortable. But it doesn't fold up very small.

Small headset, works great. If you're comfortable with having something in your ears then this is a great product. I often have it in its case until I need to talk then wear it. Its on & off mechanism is a little irritate, I had to hold the little button for a2-4 seconds to turn on & off. Friends complains of great noise when I'm rinsing plates while talking, but that's reasonable. I like the motorolar H700 much better for its easy way to turn on and off as well as how it hang outside of your ear rather than inside your ear. I've been using both of these for about 6 months each.

the headset is loud enough for me to hear people and my friends say that it doesn't even sound like i'm on a headset. i have very small ears and the earbuds don't sit in very comfortably. it feels like it's going to fall out sometimes, but because it's so lightweight, it's really doesn't move. i haven't tested it enough, and i don't have any other headsets to compare it to, but so far so good.

First the headset wouldn't charge and the new set (the vendor was great and sent me another one) sound was so soft, no one could hear me (nor I they). It really needed a better ear piece and/or a hook to hold it to the ear. It fell twice out of my ear and I was afraid that I'd lose it.

I wanted this headset because of its small size, and it indeed is very compact and light. The sound quality is good, after an hour or so the headset begins to hurt my ear, battery life so-so. Overall if you are looking for a small bluetooth headset this will fill your needs.

What a pain ... I have small ear canals and the earpiece was extremely uncomfortable due to its size. With a poor fit, the headset kept falling out of my ear. Returned for full credit.

Nice case because it makes the bluetooth easier to find in my house and in my purse BUT the only negative thing is that if the case is pressing against something then it causes the bluetooth to turn on and waste its battery when I need it.
