Sony Playstation 2 Dualshock Controller Black.......2007-09-08
Just like the last 3 Sony controllers I bought, this one sucks. As soon as I plugged it in, and turned on the game, the person I was trying to control starting moving backwards at a pretty fast clip. When I got it to stop moving backwards, he starting moving to the right just as fast. It was impossible to control him. I have since purchased a controller from Alienware, and it works perfect. Sony sucks. They have lost all interest in quality control. They are going on their name alone. I have 2 sons who have exactly the same problem with thier Sony controllers. I was going to send it back, but I just figured it would be a hassle, so I threw it away. Forget Sony if you want anything with high quality. I am not someone who abuses the game counsels or any thing that has to do with them. I am 61 years old and have been playing video games for a looooooong time. And my sons are 32 years old and 41 years old. They are not abusive little kids.

The controller for the Nintendo 64 was designed to be held in several different positions. It could be held by the two outer grips, allowing use of the digital D-pad, right-hand face buttons and the "L" and "R" shoulder buttons (but not the "Z" trigger or analog stick). It could be also held by the center and right-hand grip, allowing the use of the single analog stick, the right hand-buttons, the "R" shoulder button, and the "Z" trigger on the rear (but not the "L" shoulder button or D-pad). Finally, it could be held entirely by the left or right hand by the center grip, allowing it to be held like a pistol for FPS games.[citation needed] More often than not the analog stick was used in games while in some, both the analog stick and directional pad could be interchangeable (ex: Mortal Kombat Trilogy). Very few games used the directional pad exclusively; two examples are the 3D puzzle game Tetrisphere and the side-scrolling platformer Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards. The controller also included four "C buttons", which were originally intended to control the camera in the N64's three dimensional environments. However, since the pad only contained three other face buttons, the C-buttons often became assigned to ulterior functions. An example of this is The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, where the C-buttons can be assigned to secondary items and the "Z"-trigger is used to orient the camera.
One game, Robotron 64 allowed one player to use two controllers to control his avatar. This way the game played like its predecessor, Robotron 2084.
The controller initially came only in gray, but other hues were released later on, many of them coinciding with the release of a similarly designed system. Some include: black, red, green, yellow, blue, atomic purple, and special edition colors like gold.

I had some trouble when the item first arrived, it didn't work at all and was in very bad shape so I asked for a replacement and sent it back. The replacement took a while to arrive but customer service was always checking back with me and following up on the replacement process.
I am very satisified with the replacement and with the customer service from this seller, although I asked for a PlayStation controller for the replacement, I got the N64 one but it's working just fine.
I recommend this product and this seller, and would buy again from them specially because they never let me down with the replacement.
Original Nintendo 64 Controller.......2007-09-15
The original nintendo 64 controller is absolutely great, it looks good and works great. I have tryed all of the off brand controllers and found the original controller to work the best. Here is why the off brand controllers use cheap joysticks that can easily break, I have never seen a nintendo brand joystick break. They also use cheap plastics that will break very easy, the original brand controller is a thinker molded plastic and I have never seen it chip or break.

I am not at all satisfied with this product, i would probably send it back, only the trouble time and effort wouldnt be worth it, im just going to get another one at a local store. but the product i wanted to buy, is pictured in the item description, its an n64 controller made by nintendo. what i failed to realized was that i was actually purchasing a cheap 3rd party controller. not at all what i wanted, not only do the controlllers not work nearly as well, but they break much more easily. the purchase was a complete waste of time and money

If you use SanDisk SD memory cards beware!!!!.......2004-08-17
I bought the Viking Intelliflash 6-in-1 USB Flash Memory Reader with the hopes of being able to save battery life on a digital camera. However, on trying an SD memory card from a camcorder I have, it ruined the card and said "files corrupted" and I lost all the pics. I read some of the other reviews and realised the problem lied with the SanDisk memory card I used.
I later tried a Kingston Memory Card I had bought for the digital camera and it worked fine.

This is a piece of junk.
The first time I inserted a smart media card, the card went all the way into the unit. To get it out, I had to call customer support who told me how to disassemble the unit so that I could extract it. Great start!
It does not consistently read CF cards.
Bottom line-stay away.
Corrupted first disk I tried.......2004-07-11
I tried this the first time with a brand new SD bought on vacation - could see pictures fine on camera but when used this Viking memory reader said disk and files corrupted. Was able to retrieve all but first five photos fortunately - unfortunately one of the five photos was a precious one that cannot be retrieved that was the main reason for the trip (daughter and father dancing).

I use several different types of cards for my camera and PDA, so I figured this would be a great thing to have. Installation is very easy, especially under Windows XP, where it it true Plug-and-Play. For other systems there is a CD with drivers included.
What is supposed to happen is that when it installs is that it will maps an addition four drives onto your computer; one for each slot. Unfortunatly it does not seem to be able to map the Smart Media drive. Even after installing the drivers off of the disc it was not able to read the SM drive.
I had two of these things; the first I exchanged for a new one after it failed to read anything. On the first one the slots weren't mounted to the face plate correctly, so when I put in the Smart Media card it fell into the back of the device and I had to spent five minuets shaking the thing out.
The second one I got was mounted correctly, but unable to read the SM cards. While it could read the Secure Digital card, it erased everything on it. Fortunatly I only had a couple of files on it, but a lot of people use SD cards for storing programs or pictures, and they would have lost everything if they used this. The Compact Flash card was the only one that worked reliably, but even that one I had problems with since it was difficult to jam the card all of the way into the slot.
I am very dissapointed with this device and with Viking, who usually makes good products. Most people don't use all six types of cards, so a lot of them would go to waste, so I would recomend just getting seperate readers for each card. It'll cost more, but probably worth it in the long run.
On a side note, I would just like to say that Amazon.com has an excellent No-questions-asked return policy. After I asked to replace my first one they paided the return postage and sent me a new one two days later.

I got the following response from Viking Tech Support on May 17, 2004:
"We have had a few customers report seeing problems with some Sandisk cards. It appears to be a compatibility issue with Sandisk's new SD cards and the reader. The new Sandisk cards read/write speeds are faster than their older cards, and this difference may be the cause of the error.
Currently Engineering is looking at the problem. When we find a resolution I will send you an update."
