The GX5204 is a wireless color camera system that can be hidden for undercover indoor use. It comes with everything you need to start monitoring. The camera is tiny, but just as powerful as most full size cameras with an incredible 360 TV lines of resolution! Due to its pinhole lens it can be hidden anywhere. It is also a transmitter, allowing you to wirelessly send video to the included handheld monitor. The monitor has a 2.5" LCD screen for crystal clear viewing of your camera's display, or you can connect it to your TV, VCR, DVR or computer for viewing and recording purposes. This system comes with one camera, but you can add 2 more SVAT compatible cameras, and the auto feature allows you to cycle between the cameras at intervals that you choose. This system is ideal for discreet monitoring in home or business settings due to its small size and wireless capabilities. The camera and monitor are both powered by AC adapters but are also battery operable for ultimate portability (camera uses 9V battery; monitor uses 4 AAA batteries, or rechargeable battery pack - GX519B, not included).

About Surveillance Camera Technical Features
Lux rating is the measurement used to indicate how sensitive a camera is to light, and stands for the level of light reflected off a piece of paper by a candle from one meter away. I'm using 2 of these and ordering a 3rd now. The camera gives very good image, it's prety sensitive in low-light. Because it's a B/W model, there is much less noise than on color cameras.

this item does exactly what its supposed to do. the picture is clear but the visibility at night or in the dark is not that impressing. but that is okay considering you get what you pay for. the wires connected to the item are extremely short and are a pain to maneuver when placing the camera in a small spot. overall this camera produces a quality black and white visual but it gets extremely hot when left plugged in over time. this camera is worth the $40 bucks i paid for it...

It works that's a good thing. But, it's hard to see what your looking at if any of the objects are moving in front of it. Everything become fuzzy when someone walks by it. However if you have it set in front of a window looking out into the yard it seem to do better. You just can't use it for anything kind of close up. And if it gets bumped the screen goes black and you have to fool with it again. I guess you get what you pay for.

Quality product for the price. Of course picture quality isn't outstanding, but I wasn't expecting high def for the price. It does have low light issues, but that's not what it was designed for.
I replaced it with the nightvision model and have had more use out of it now for other purposes. It views through optics perfectly and is great for recording through telescopes, microscopes, and binoculars with a little ingenuity.
