Nice Design / Painful Handset.......2003-12-05

Anyway, when I saw this, it really caught my eye. It has a classic design. The price wasn't bad either. The push buttons with the rotary style is a nice detail. One drawback is that the receiver is very heavy. The shape of the receiver makes it difficult to put the phone on your shoulder to talk hands-free. I did that on the receiver slipped, hitting me in the lip and teeth. OUCH!

We have a 1941 house in California complete with a little phone shrine in the kitchen, and nothing but an old fashioned phone could live up to the special little nook. For $19.99 (at an electronics store) I have the look. And the sound. It sounds like a dramatic phone ring in an old movie. The only thing it doesn't have is that twenty pound heft I associate with real old phones. Looks and sounds old, but feels like a Conair.

Ever since I started watching old, black and white movies, I've wanted a 1940's style phone, but the refurbished, authentic ones can be really pricey. I was delighted to find this nifty reproduction at Target. It looks like a rotary dial but has buttons, and has a real mechanical bell ringer, which I love.

I bought a 25 ft base-to-handset cord (the one that comes with the phone is quite short) because I like to wander around. I thought I'd miss having memory dial and features like that, but I don't, really. The great design of the phone makes up for that.

My one tiny little beef is that the handset is not easy to wedge between your ear and shoulder if you need both hands for a moment. But don't let that stop you from buying this cute little phone.

These drives are a great improvement over the 1.44 floppy. They're better than Zips because they are treated as a hard drive by the OS. No extra software to hang up your computer.

Digital Research's LS-120 is a flop.......2000-01-30

As Plug and Play items go...it isn't one. My Aptiva 200MMX computer couldn't figure out what I was installing and thought that it was a CD Rom drive. After updating my BIOS and buying an IDE controller card, I thought that I would be in business. Unfortunately, that was hardly the case. My computer now thought that the unit was a 3.5" floppy drive. Calling DRTech's help line was an exercise in futility ("please leave your name, models#, and problem and we'll get back to you in 24 hours"). Their website was not to be found... at least the website their "help" line instructs you to go to. So now I'm buying an external SuperDisk Drive by Imation. I hope that you do likewise.

If you like to take your camera to concerts, this is NOT the camera for you. it won't take the picture if it cannot focus, and it will always let you down if you try to use it for quick, once-in-a-lifetime moments! however, the pics look great for 4.1mp in casual use. i've had several software errors come up during the portrait setting. it still works fine after two years of use. the audio is always static filled, so its useless.

some of the pixels on the viewing screen have gone out or something, because they are either red or blue dots on my screen.

Nice Little Camera.......2007-05-07

I have noticed, in some previous reviews, people complaining this camera breaks. I have had absolutely no such problems with this camera, and I've had it since May of 2005. I actually did not purchase it, but rather won it from the Ellen show.

It came with a cute carrying case, and a nice wrist strap.

The only problem I've had with it is that the charger cord that came with it causes interference with my cordless phone and my radio when it's plugged in within 5 feet of these items. Not much of a drawback, IMO.

I have taken this camera hiking, and it got dusty. I was sure I had ruined it. It's worked just fine since. I have taken it on a rather wacky trip to Las Vegas, and despite being banged about, it still remains a solid little camera.

I'm not a big Stefani fan, but I get a lot of compliments on how cute the camera is, in addition to taking fabulous photos.

I recommend this camera highly.

WORST CAMERA EVER.......2006-05-29

I bought this camera in July 2005. i just recieved my FOURTH REPLACEMENT on thursday. I have had nothing but problems with this camera. The sound quality on the video sounds like static and is always unclear. It shows constant error meassages when trying to capture photos. I am going to try to see if i can return it and get my money back so that i can buy a better camera.

This camera is such a waste...normal use even delicate use, will break this camera. I have had an older HP for years that Ive never had an issue with, but for some reason I have needed 2 replacements sent to me, due to internal software issues, the camera freezing, etc. It is way too touchy. Also their customer support is outsourced and I have a hard time getting the people to understand my problems, and they wont repair the camera, just keep sending new ones to me. This is a limited edition item, is it just supposed to sit pretty on the shelf? I never know if they are going to send me the same model since its pretty hard to find now. A waste of time and money.

I bought this digital camera the day it came out.. it takes great picutures and I love the panoramic feature.. it lets u take 5 pictures and then put them together. Its really neat and very cute too.

This was great until I got an iPod for a gift. The worked just fine, but finding a belt loop or anything to hang it from with the clip, on a pair of jogging pants or any work out clothes did not work.

It's a waste of money........2006-01-08

I bought this at a sports shop for about $9. I then took it cross country skiing, so not a very rigorous activity. The radio couldn't stay on one station - rather, it would switch from station to station on its own, even ones that were just static. It does not do what it's supposed to.

Hard To Handle.......2005-08-10

The scanning feature is a nuisance, as it won't stay on one station very long.

The instruction booklet is not helpful at all, and neither is the description of how the radio works on Amazon.

The sound's not bad, if you can stand the frequent switching of stations.

I recommend getting another small radio for walking or jogging, even if it's more expensive.

This is a great item, because if you ride your bike you can take it with you and listen to your favorite stations! It's like a bike radio.
