Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas for the Xbox 360 is the 5th generation of Rainbow Six games. With over 30 realistic weapons, high tech explosives and cool gadgets, it's safe to say that you'll never go bored with this title.

I won't spoil you with details relating to the story line that goes along with the Campaign mode. All you need to know is that the campaign mode for this game is a lot of fun. The enemy AI is intelligent so it won't be a run and gun experience for you. They'll flank you, dodge bullets and throw a few flash bangs. You'll have to play smart and shoot accurate to move through the levels. Great enemy AI with cool weapons, rappelling, night vision, snake cams and well laid out levels, the Campaign mode really is a treat to play.

Now most of you however will purchase Rainbow Six Vegas for its online capabilities. This is what I want to focus this review on. You first build your character, changing body build, facial features and camo to your liking. Choose your primary weapon, pistol and 2 of your favorite Gadgets/explosives and your ready to play. You can search for a quick match, a custom match or create your own. When you create your own match you have the ability to lock weapons, change match time, change the amount of respawns and more. You can have up to 14 players per session although there is an option to have 16 with the "dedicated server" option on. This reduces any lag issues, however the person who is hosting the match cannot play.

Once you get to playing you can unlock new weapons and camo every-time you rank up. There are ten enlisted ranks and seven officer ranks that you have to go through until you reach "Elite" which is the grand daddy of all ranks. Currently there are 10 ways to enjoy online play... Survival, Team Survival, Sharpshooter, Team Sharpshooter, Retrieval, Co-op Terrorist Hunt, Attack & Defend, Co-op Campaign, Assassination, and Conquest.

Every weapon and explosion sounds really cool and the music is very well produced. Graphics are amazing but not as good as Gears of War or the highly anticipated Halo 3. Don't let this detour you away from this game though. The graphics are more than adequate and it looks as it should on the powerful Xbox 360.

I highly recommend this game. It's a challenging but fun first person shooter that will have you wondering why you didn't buy this title it a long time ago. For your enjoyment, I have included a complete weapons list for Rainbow Six Vegas... Enjoy!

Viva las Vegas!.......2007-08-26

The newest in the Rainbow six franchises is the best one yet. A good FPS with awesome graphics and game play. The real world tactics are very accurately depicted. This game is true to its military route, fire team hand signals, MOUT room clearing, fast roping and repelling and tactical formations. You get an array of real world weapons. The setting this time is Las Vegas. This adds to the coolness factor. Sometimes it's hard to get an accurate bead on your enemy but it's a minor problem that is easy to shrug off as you're playing. One of the best shooters and if you're an online games this one is defiantly up your alley. This is one to buy for sure.

almost the only xbox MP game i play. great game. in fact, i think all my xbox 'friends' are due to this game (and a couple pc rollovers)

GREAT ACTION GAME!.......2007-08-20

Rainbow Six Vegas is the latest installment in the tom clancy franchise. I did not used to play these kind of games i usually just play sports games but i though i would give this one a try. I bought it and have had a lot of fun ever since. The graphics and gameplay are prime for the genre. The only thing i have trouble with is saving on my xbox 360 console.

Tom Clancy's Rainbow six Vegas offers the player a great game in terms of story, action, and mutiplayer play. The main story takes place as you, a Rainbow operative, trying to fend off terrorists who have taken over parts of Las Vagas. You move from place to place, tyring to neutralize terrorists and trying to keep yoursef alive. If you have ever been to Las Vegas, you may recognize parts of the city. The action is superb all around. the firefights are intense, and the player will always be breaking a sweat sometime. Your AI controlled team is certainly able to take orders and fight well, so your never having to worry about useless partners. The weapons and locales of the game are great and are never too far-fetched to believe. The online capability is without a doubt the most fun part of the game. There are over 10 different modes of play, over 20 maps, and an infinite amount of fun to be had. The only problem with the online feature is that it doesn't allow the player to view a server list. Trying to find a match with your friends is harder than it should be. However, making friends who can invite you to games is always the best option. You, as the player, can rank up form a lowly private, to a battle-hardened elite, and you can unlock weapons, outifts, armor, and various miscellaneous items for your online persona.

Tom lancy's Rainbow Six delivers everthing and more. You'll be glad you bought it and the fun will never stop after that. If you like going online a lot, make sure you have an ethernet cable and, if you want it, a headset so you can talk to your teamates during online play.

Dissaointed with the graphics.......2007-08-15

i couldn't make up my mind on witch game to buy first, resistance fall of man or rainbow six. i really like the game play in rainbow 6 but the graphics are pretty bad and it seems pretty dark the whole game. I have a 55'' plasma hdtv and that shouldn't have been the problem resistance fall of man wasn't dissapointing at all compared to r6 they have great graphics. R6 is like playing a ps2 game on my ps3

ok - but only allowed to have 1 saved game - thus 2 stars!.......2007-08-13

Very bad if you mess up, there is only one save point. At the last level it appears there is a glitch where many game users are having a problem with reloading the level (Nevada Dam - Warehouse)where you see Irena thru window - then game crashes destroying the one and only save point. This has happened to several users. According to UBI support you must delete the one and only allowed saved game and reload/restart the game from the beginning again. I tried this twice, and it crashed twice! So I gave up! UBI programers need to learn how to allow multiple save points.
Overall the game has good picture quality. Content ok. But for PS3 there are no updates. So I advise buying it used and trying it.

My husband got this for our 18-month-old son for Christmas as "his" gift to him as I had already done all the shopping.

It's cute and he played with it all the time. Has lots of little features to it. There is even a phrase (can't remember what it is) that the phone says that he would attempt to mimic every time. Cute!

My only problem with this is that the cord ALWAYS comes apart. ALWAYS. Why does it have to snap together? I don't get it. As short as it is, it isnt' a choking hazard, so I don't understand. And on top of that, one of the parts that snaps together is cracked.

Would buy again, but it just doesn't seem very durable!

These are great speakers for the $$, but as you see above beware of some idiots selling only ONE for the price (as if they didnt know there should be two...retailers like that do no further biz with)

I got mine on fleabay (AFTER clarifying that I was indeed bidding on TWO)
and hooked em up to my "little" PM645 Harmon Kardon amp next to my girlfriends $1400 Bose "Lifestyle?"...THEY BLEW IT AWAY...LOL

GREAT separation, if you watch placement of these and have a decent amp you'll need no sub...these do FINE...specs are realistic.

DONT go for those trs and the like with the "suggested" retail price of $3498.00 selling for $129 bucks...they will literally hurt your ears...AR has been making loudspeakers since the early 50s and it SHOWS in these...I got mine (yes...a pair) for $139 plus ship and thanks to the "gorillas" at UPS they did indeed arrived "cosmetically challenged"...upside here is I'll probably get them FREE after I settle with them...if they are going to continue to damage goods they either need to get out of the loudspeaker transport biz, or continue to pay (and pay they will...ME...lol)

So bottom line if you want a GOOD sounding loudspeaker for the price, you simply can't go wrong.

IMPORTANT: PLEASE give these guys a chance to sing properly...GET A DECENT AMP...pay no attention to the specs of how much power, etc...it's quality that counts, and how that power is delievered! Suggest a HK645 like this one (buy them on fleabay for under $100) or early Yamaha, Onkyo, or Sansui...hook em up to a cheap amp you'll get cheap sound...

I can't get no satisfaction..........2005-09-30

I recently ordered this PAIR of speakers from Amazon that was fulfilled through Beach Audio. When the SINGLE speaker arrived (in a completely mangled box thanks to the gorillas at UPS - why do these companies continue to use the worst shipping company on the planet?), I called Beach Audio and was told (a) they only sell those speakers singly, not in pairs, (b) it was Amazon's fault for incorrect advertising, not theirs (don't you find it irritating when business vendors resort to pointing fingers at each other rather than concentrating on fixing your problem?), and (c) the only thing they could do for me was to let me go through the hassle of shipping it back for a refund. But of course I don't want to go through that heartburn. For one, the box was so mangled I wouldn't trust it to ship the speaker back in (and then get told I somehow packed it inadequately). For another, I was so excited about getting my first pair of new stereo speakers in over a decade, and now I am so let down - a fun experience has turned into nothing but a pain. All I really want is the other speaker, thank you, for the price I paid, AS ADVERTISED. But of course, Beach Audio will not do that (they say "cannot", but of course they can). So, all I can say is DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM BEACH AUDIO. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

As for the speaker itself, I can't comment. It looks great. But of course I am not going to hook just one speaker up, especially on a disputed order. But don't fall for this product while it is advertised at this price as a pair!
