If you have a newer model car with the 3.5mm input jack then this the perfect accessory. There is no need to fiddle with the volume control on the iPod, thus conserving battery power. Since it is using the line out on the iPod instead of headphone out the clarity is amazing! Can't beat it for the price.

This is perfect for linking your ipod to the auxilary jack in your fairly new car. The kids watch a movie on the ipod and get awesome sound with no clicks, hum, or interference. I've been using it nearly every day for several months to listen to podcasts and so far I've had no problems attaching the cable and removing it.

This cable is the same price as a lower quality 3.5 mm to 3.5 mm cable that would be used with the headphone jack, except the sound quality from the dock cable is much better. This cable creates a line level connection between the Ipod and whatever you're using it with, so the volume is preset for optimal sound quality. Less hiss and static, and the bass response is much better than the normal headphone cable deal. For the price and quality, this is the only way to go.

I bought this cable because the headphone Jack on my iPod broke. I didn't want to take it to a repairman who may not know what to do, and I didn't want to replace it so soon. So I looked for any cheap alternative, and I came across this. I saw iPod dock connector to 3.5mm jack, and I thought that I could do something with that. So I run the 3.5mm jack into a female-to-female into headphones, and it works perfectly. The only downside is that it doesn't respond to the volume on your iPod, but a necessary sacrifice, and the preset volume is perfect. Not to loud and not to soft. Perfect.

for its price i can't really complain. it works good. the microphone receives well and the headset works. its also plug and play which is another thing going for it. But as a gamer (i wear this for long durations) these headsets are not comfortable to wear. you'll find your ears hurting if you keep these on for about an hour. so spend that little extra for a more comfortable headset if u plan on wearing it for long durations
p.s. this will probably outlast the more expensive stuff. i must have dropped this, stepped on, and rolled over a few dozen times and it still works.

My car offers line-in audio which means I can play my iPod directly through my car speakers without the need of a scratch, static-filled fm tuner. If your car has line-in, forget wasting your money on the tuners and just get a cable like this.
The only downfall is that it doesn't charge your iPod like the fm tuners, which probably isn't news to you, but just a reminder.

This retractable cable set is so handy! I hate having wires all over the place and it's so easy to store. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the cable ends by the AV connectors seem a bit fragile. It would be nice if they could bulk them up a bit. Other than that, it's a great buy!

This cord is great for hooking your Walkman, iPod or other MP3 player up to the aux jacks on your receiver, table stereo or whatever. Much less costly than the over priced Monster Cable brand but just as effective. I use them to run my iPod through my Cambridge Soundworks table radio as well as my Yamaha amp with Klipsch speakers and both sound fantastic. As good as Cd's or close enough that I wouldn't even notice.

- Scanning method: Frames of video are made up of many lines of video that are scanned onto a television screen so closely they appear to be a solid picture. The scanning method can be either interlaced or progressive. Interlaced scanning (also used in today's analog TV), indicated by an "i" in the video format, fills in the odd number lines (1,3,5,7...) and then fills in the even number lines (2,4,6,8...) until the frame is complete. Progressive scanning, indicated by a "p," fills in each line consecutively until the frame is complete, like a computer display.
- Component video: Unlike a single video input, component video maintains the video signal as three separate signals through three jacks. This connection provides optimum quality. To ensure maximum picture quality, use three video-grade cables for the Y, Pb, and Pr connections.

Great HD Bang for the Buck!.......2006-11-27
I have had this TV exactly 2 years. I have not had one problem with this unit. Picture quality is excellent, especially when you adjust the picture parameters, just like any RPTV. Sound is adjustable to sound remarkably good.
Any HD TV will not look good reproducing standard definition TV. The bigger the screen, the worse it looks. If your cable system only supplies SD TV, the picture will suffer as it will on any HD TV. Of course DVD' s will look better, they have almost twice the resolution as SDTV.
You will get a much better picture on this unit by using the component (Red, Green, Blue) inputs. With Directv HD hooked to the component inputs, the picture rivals that of any RP HDTV that I have seen anywhere.
Remember, most of the reviews that you read on these boards is either going to be glowing, or negative. You never hear from the remaining 90 percent of the people who have had a problem-free ownership of any product. 9 reviews is not a way to make a final judgement on any product.
Go see the TV for yourself, and be the judge. Keep in mind that the lowest priced HDTV available anywhere will not have all the bells & whistles that a unit costing 10 times as much will have. This is the lowest cost entry into the world of HD big screens.
Good value, but has issues with color accuracy in dark areas.......2004-07-01
This is a good value for $999 with only one real issue, which is a problem with a greenish tint in very dark areas of the picture.
I had the original set replaced, and the new one has the same problem. You can't make adjustments on this, it's not an issue where you can adjust the tint control and make it go away. I've been informed that this is most likely a grayscale tracking issue and that having the TV professionally calibrated may fix this. I'll check into that after the TV has a few more hours on it.
The TV has a very sharp, detailed picture. In brightly lit scenes the colors are very vivid. I was pleasantly surprised about how good the picture was given the low price of the TV. In addition, the TV doesn't take up much space. It's only 18 inches deep, which is about as deep as a regular 27" direct view. If you have limited space and can't afford a plasma or LCD set, this TV is about the slimmest you'll be able to find.
Just to clarify. Colors look very good and the TV does not have an overall greenish tint. The problem is with the fact the TV doesn't generate a true black, so you end up with a greenish tint on a shadow area for example, while the rest of the colors in the scene look fine.
If it weren't for the green tint issue, I'd probably give the set a 5 star rating based on the price/value factor. It has a great picture otherwise and at $999 I don't think you could beat it for the screen size. Due to the fact the TV only gets used about twice a week to watch a DVD, and also to very limited space, I've decided to keep it. However if space weren't such a concern I'd probably send it back and get the 46" Toshiba widescreen rear projection set.
