So far, so good, Great second drive for my computer........2006-11-11

I bough this drive to replace the aging DVD drive in my current system. Unfortunately, the days of picking up a cheep plain DVD drive are gone, and they have been replace with models that are CD-r drives that play DVDs as well. The burner works well, and come with Nero burning software and Power DVD 6 player, which works well. I already had a DVD burner, but for about 20 more you can likely get a DVD burner. Good price for what i wanted, available on amazon competatively, but also available at many big retail chain stores.

One reviewer claimed this is just a CD-RW drive not a combo drive as advertised. Not so, the SOHC-5232K is a combo drive, but the drive they shipped was not a SOHC-5232K.

Works well, but does not come with cd writing software.......2006-07-06

Worked as claimed, only problem- there was no accompanying cd burning software with it. But then at the price I got it, it was still worth it. Free udf writing software from HP worked fine with it.

Forgive Amazon, guys.......2004-11-02

I can understand the frustration of other buyers as I had to return the wrong drive twice. My understanding is that what Amazon actually got were just the CD RW drives and the price too fits that category but erroneously they had labeled them as CD RW DVD combos. I am not sure what Office Depot and Circuit City are shipping but their price suggests that they should be shipping the combo. But folks, we need to admit that Amazon is doing a good job and at time things might go wrong since humans do fail at times. It took a while for Amazon to understand the problem and once they knew the problem they removed it from their inventory. The delay in the reordering should be due to the fact that Amazon does not have the combo drives with them. I actually ended up ordering the "SAMSUNG Internal 52x32x52x CD-RW plus DVD-ROM Combo Drive". I haven't tested it properly still but so far I like the drive. I will post my comments under that drive very soon. Again folks, let us accept the fact that Amazon too can err at times and we need to be accommodative. Overall their service and prices and the quality of products are very good.

Absurdly poor service.......2004-10-29

Like many others, I've ordered Amazon numerous times, but this instance was atrocious. Having shipped the wrong item like the other reviewers, I decided to opt for a replacement, only to find that the estimated delivery date would be 2 months from today! What's more surprising is that I can go ahead and order from Office Depot via Amazon.com and receive it in 7 days along with the $15 increase.

Shipped the wrong drive twice.......2004-10-22

Have never had any problems with Amazon before, but this time they kept shipping the wrong drive and now they are refunding the purchase price. I don't want a refund, I want the drive I ordered since they still show it to be in stock. Had problems with Buy.com before and they made everything right - a good retailer. Return shipping was free so that was nice, but still no drive and had the hassle of having to go to UPS drop off twice.

Best in the [price] range.......2000-06-19

If you check out the reviews for LCD projectors, infocus products rarely surface. But you get a great bang for the buck here. The NEC LF140 has received rave reviews but if you look carefully, it is heavier than the LP335 and the intensity of its lamp is also lesser. Granted than the difference between 800 and 1000 lumens isn't that great (with the logarithmic nature of light intensity) but there will be a minor improvement in performance with the brighter lamp, particularly if you leave the lights on during the presentation. When push comes to shove and you compare the features, you might still be tempted to pick the NEC product for its "brand." If you yield to that temptation, you'll pay about $1500 more for a inferior feature set.

On the otherhand, the NEC Multisync VT540 is a decent buy. It has all that the dragonfly offers at a comparable price (it is about 3 lbs heavier but you get the MultiSync plug and forget functionality, which is comforting.)

If you want to save your biceps effort buy the dragonfly, else go for the NEC (reasons being the software and brand.)

Exceptionial picture quality and specs !.......2007-07-19

I guess I was lucky becasue the Dell E196FP 19" FP was a option when I ordered my new Dell,I had no knowledge of what to look for in the specs for a quality FP. When I first recieved my new PC and had it up and running a noticed how clear and crisp the picture was and this impressed me ,I went ahead and did a search on the internet on FP and their specs and apprently all of the specs of this FP are in the high end area ! At the price I was able to buy this FP for I have nothing except good things to say about it and its performance !

Solid, sleek, and practical........2007-02-18

I came across this monitor because Dell had a great deal for this monitor with purchase of a desktop. I sold the desktop to a friend and started using the monitor myself.

I've been using the older version of this monitor and switched over to the newer version, selling my old one to a friend. I use this monitor as an extension to my tiny laptop screen (12.1"), and it is absolutely awesome.

One thing that I like the most about this monitor is the small frame around the screen (about half an inch). The shape is very nice as well.

I eventually replaced most of my monitors in my house and work (about 6 monitors) with this one and I haven't seen any dead pixels.

My brother plays first person shooters on these and there is no ghosting so it's good for games as well.

I guess the only downside is the fact that height is not adjustable.
