Pretty good radio for the money........2007-09-06
I have this radio (this is just the radio, not the one with the CD player)and don't really have any major complaints. I think it sounds pretty good; I wasn't expecting a stereo in the shower! The only little thing I have noticed, is that when the batteries get low, it is difficult to turn on and off. In other words, you might have to push the on/off button several times to make it turn on or off. But if the batteries are strong, then you don't have that problem. But most battery operated items DO perform better when they have good, strong batteries in them. I just make it a point to use good, alkaline batteries. The better the batteries, the less often you have to change them. In fact, those new titanium batteries last a LONG time! Some of the other reviewers said this radio needs batteries too often. Well maybe it does, but I don't think it is any more often that any other battery-operated items I have. My MP3 player seems to need batteries more often than I expected, too. I just stock up on batteries when I catch them on sale.

First off, I'm not under 13 or whatever, I just didn't want an account, BUT about the radio: IT'S AWESOME!!! Don't listen to these other people, because the volume goes up REALLY loud so you're able to hear it, and it also plays the stations well without static and the batteries last a while. I don't understand why this product is getting so many poor reviews. Hopefully you'll take my word for it. I love it. I got this for Christmas of '05 and it's currently Feb. '06 and the batteries and everything are properly functioning still!! Great buy!!!!

This horrible product delivers distorted sound and needs batteries much too often. I'm looking for a better one and will throw this in the garbage which is where it belongs. DON'T BUY IT!!!
Wet Tunes Shower Am/FM Radio.......2003-10-21
I attended a Cancer relay and one of the gifts given to Cancer Survivors was a "Salton Wet Tunes" shower radio. Turning on the radio took a good 1-2 minutes and if you were not careful, it would turn off. After one week, it would not turn on at all. I know the batteries are good, because the clock works. When, and I use that word very sparingly, it worked the reception was so poor I could hardly hear with the volumn up high. I was extremely dissapointed in the product. I'm happy I didn't purchase the product. Having said that, I'm sure the group that put together the relay will not request that paticuliar product again. One would think a manufacture would donate a product that is workable because, what better "free" advertisment could one get? This advertisment for "Wet Tunes", went south. This product, "Salton Wet Tunes" is in the trash.
I hope no one else purchases one.
Power hungry.......2003-01-18
I bought this shower radio last year. It did not play CDs, but the batteries died after only a few uses. I don't know if it was defective or if the constantly running clock caused the battery death. I was very disappointed and returned it. Another shower radio that was much cheaper and didn't have a clock runs forever on batteries.

Whether you want to spread music through the house or make that home theater system disappear from sight, JBL's SoundPoint SP6 speakers will get the job done.
The speakers each use a 6.5-inch titanium-laminate cone woofer with rubber surround for tight, full bass for extended listening sessions. Elliptical Oblate Spheroidal (EOS) waveguides imbue sound with spaciousness and definition, and the speakers use titanium-laminate tweeters to reproduce high notes with extraordinary clarity.
The speakers were designed to be easily installed using just a pencil, a Phillips number-2 screwdriver, a measuring tape, a utility knife, a carpenter's level, and an awl.
You'll need to choose your speaker cable to match your cable run; be sure to calculate generously as you don't want to come up short when you're wiring your house. For runs up to 20 feet, JBL recommends using 16-gauge cable. For runs up to 30 feet, use 12-gauge cable, and for runs greater than 30 feet you'll want beefy 10-gauge cable to minimize high-frequency signal loss.
SoundPoint Series loudspeakers can be painted to match any decor. If you wish to change their color, the satin finish on the grille and frame will function as a primer coat. Integrated dog-ear brackets are helpful in retrofit applications. Optional snap-together rough-in frames (RIF6) are available separately for new construction.

I bought these to serve as the front and rear channel speakers in a home theatre installation. Moving around in the attic wasn't fun, but the actual installation of the speakers was painless once the wire was run. The sound quality produced by the speakers is amazing considering the price. I will be buying a few more pair for a whole house audio system.

I have 5 of these speakers hooked up to a Harmon Kardon AV240 and an Athena 125w sub and I can't believe I bought the whole system for about $725 through Amazon! I was a bit skeptical as to whether these could compete with bookcase speakers, but no more. These speakers have a full rich sound that really enhances your movie watching. They also sound great for music. I would be highly surprised to find a speaker that comes close at this price point. The installation was a snap too. Very good installation design. Highly recommended!!!

Great manual controls. Automatic lags........2007-07-18
If you like manual photography on a budget, this camera is for you. It's cheaper than a real SLR, but offers many of the same features.
In full manual mode, the shutter is lightning fast. There's no delay. You can use this for sports photography. The macro mode is amazing.
The downside? The flash is weak and the flash angle is bad. To make best use of the internal flash, use a diffuser (or bounce the flash using a bit of paper) and slow down your shutter.
The white balance needs to be reset whenever your lighting changes. Don't trust the auto mode.
Don't trust most of the automatic features for that matter unless your are taking photos in bright sunlight. They frequently choose the wrong settings and they add a lot of delay to your pictures.
The low light performance of this camera is amazing for its size (in manual mode). You can take flashless photos thanks to the large sensor size and anti-shake technology. I've handheld shots for a second or more with no visible blurring.
All in all, the manual controls are the only reason to get this cameral. If you like having control over your camera as much as I do, this camera is best in class. If you want to point-and-shoot in anything other than bright light, look elsewhere.

i love this product and mine is referb the anti shake is ausome u really need that when you lock your shutter open it is the best this is not a camera that you want if you want to point and shoot so it is not a camera for a starting kid
Konica-Minolta DiMage Z3.......2007-06-09
I'm just a vacation picture taker and only used this camera while on vacation about 2 times a year for 2 years. It suddenly stopped working properly. The lens started shaking when turned on and then it wouldn't take pictures. This camera was not mistreated! I was very pleased with its performance up to this point. Great pix and great features but not worth fixing at $181.00 by Sony.
Lots of camera for the buck!.......2006-11-19
My high school-aged son bought this camera to use in his photography class. If I had written the review earlier, I would have had nothing but good to say, with the exception of noting that this camera does not have RAW files. The image stabilization feature for a camera in this price range is a wonderful feature; however it is the one that has malfunctioned. Prior to this problem, neither my son nor I had any complaints. From macro shots to telephoto shots, all were incredibly sharp. Color was true-to-life. Ease of use was fantastic, right out of the box. However, about a month into my son using it every day in school for photography class and the annual staff, he noticed a warning light for the image stabilization feature. A call to tech services confirmed that this camera has a malfunction that needs repair. I cannot speak to the quality of service, as my son needs this camera through the end of the semester. After that, we will send it in for repairs. I would keep in mind that this is a 16 year-old boy that owns the camera. He is fairly responsible (especially with things HIS money purchases)but is possibly more rough on a camera in a school setting than an adult would be in most situations. Even without the anti-shake, we love this camera. Just don't know if this is a common problem.
Great Camera.......2006-11-02
We love this camera. We have owned if for about 6 mos now and have no complaints about it. We returned the better rated Olympus Camedia C755 and bought this instead and have not regretted it for a moment. We have none of the low light shooting problems that others have reported. Nor have we experienced any descrepancy in the viewfinder image quality versus the actual image quality. It is very user-friendly and the design is very comfortable, and I like the way it looks. The fact that this camera has been discontinued along with all Konica Cameras was a bit of a concern, but they farmed the customer support out to sony so you would not be completely left hanging if something did go wrong. But with any electronic product it is a crap shoot that you will never have to use their horrible customer service. It seems to me this is no different. My only complaint is that it runs on AA batteries instead of a rechargeable battery pack. This is nice because you will never run out of battery power when you really need it, but it sure gets expensive. This camera does not run through batteries exceptionally fast but it still adds up quickly. We love this camera and would recommend it to anybody.
