This card works great with everything except the ipod. I bought this card specifically to use with my new 5G ipod only to find (after well over an hour on the phone with tech support) that this card is not WHQL certified. Ipod and ipod mini require WHQL certified USB 2.0 cards. The long and short is: This card will not work with your 5G ipod. On the upside, it works great with my firewire and USB2.0 back-up drives...

I purchased this card to replace the 1.1 USBs that came with my Dell Dimension PC. I wanted to use an external hard drive for backup and not have it take forever to do the backup. Plus, I was annoyed to get the message when I would plug in the IPOD that it would function better if it were plugged into a USB 2.0.
It was surprisingly easy to physically install and with XP it was loaded automatically. I was in business within minutes. The price was great and with free shipping - Why did I wait so long?

Excellent USB 2.0 Card.......2007-08-30

This card comes with a multi-page installation guide and a CD-ROM of drivers. However, no disk is required to install on a Win XP SP2 machine. Plug in the card, tighten it down, start the machine and XP finishes the job. It works fine in parallel with existing USB 1.0,1.1 ports on the motherboard. It delivers USB 2.0 speed with USB 2.0 devices.

I have bought less expensive cards, but they didn't work as well.

I have a Mac G4, and this card will work. However the first one I had was determined to be faulty (Belkin tech support surprised me by actually being helpful and knowledgeable), and I sent it back for a replacement. The second card works better, but I still have issues with it not always recognizing something plugged into it on startup.

Amazon's packing of this item was sub-par. It was simply put into an anti-static bag, and put in the standard Amazon box, with an air packet tossed on top, this did nothing to prevent the card from rattling around in shipping.

Easy .......2007-07-10

This was very easy to install. Just pop it into appropriate slot, screw it in, and install the drivers. WOOT! Too much runs on USB these days and most machines do not have the space for all of your USB goodies. This solved my problems. It is hard wired in so no worries about conflicts between devices running at the same time. Do not be afraid of this card. Get it. You will have no problems.

good compatibility.......2007-03-11

This product installed easily using Windows XP SP2 drivers. It worked well with USB devices that were previously problematic using the motherboard USB ports on an older Dell OptiPlex computer. Before installing this PCI card, a new laser printer attached to any motherboard port disabled the remaining USB ports for use with USB 2.0 devices. My only criticism of this card is the price. Many such PCI cards are available for 1/3 the price, but the Belkin card had a good record of device compatibility.

Do not buy this adapter!.......2006-03-29

Terrible adapter. Took it out of the box, installed it and my computer never recognized it. Installed it in another known good PCI slot and it still didn't work.

Contacted their tech support via email and received a response asking me for more info. They said they'd send a return authorization number but never did. Subsequent emails went unanswered. Finally gave up and bought another brand.
Don't waste your money on this junk.

So far, this is working as advertised in my Dell Dimension 8200. (Pentium 4, 1.5Gig RAM) They work in XP and Ubuntu Linux as well. I've used all of the four outside ports..only thing is I have no idea what the interior port could be used for...I've plugged in my camera, a printer, the cradle for my iPAQ, and a Wacom tablet.

This product works extremely well! I am very happy with it. Which surprised me because I have had some bad experiences with the SIIG brand before? I was initially very nervous about ever purchasing a SIIG whatever. I spent half the money on another one with a cheap VIA chipset, and had nothing but problems. I guess you get what you pay for. My computer: An ASUS P4TE motherboard with an amazing 1 gig of RAMBUS RAM (uses an Intel 850 chipset - RAM alone costs $500), a Silicon RAID card, an ASUS NVIDIA chipset graphics card, an Intel Gig Ethernet card, a SoundBlaster Audigy MP3 audio card, another SoundBlaster PCI audio card, and a few optional extras that I also installed. I know my computer is choosey when it comes to chipsets; if yours is too, go with this card. It uses an NEC chipset, auto detected by Windows XP Pro, and it just works flawlessly. I wish I hadn't wasted my money on the other one. One neat thing about this card, it has a power port for a floppy drive connector that gives the card more power then my motherboard can supply it through its PCI slot. I mean after all, the card does have four external USB ports, and one internal one. The internal one also allows you to hook up via a header pin configuration, but not both at the same time. If there was anything I wish this card had was an extra internal USB port. For some strange reason my motherboard, as good as it is, never came with a USB 2.0 chipset on it. Go figure!

The first reviewer's bad experience made me apprehensive. But I went to the manufacturer's website and found plenty of information including a very clear and straight-forward manual. The SIIG website also sports a compatibility "wizard" that reassured me that the unit would work with my 1999 Dell.

Installation was a breeze and offered me the rare opportunity to vacuum all the dust out of my mini-tower. I would recommend that you first vacuum your PCI slots before you install the USB card to ensure a trouble free connection.

I'm very satisfied with this versatile product which includes internal USB connections and an optional power connector for more juice. But I wish I had bought the front-loaded "USB 2.0 4-Port Bay Hub" $29.99, also made by SIIG. Oh, well.

I don't know what was wrong with the other reviewer, but I had ZERO problems installing this card.

Opened my case, installed the card, Windows found the card, loaded the drivers & I was on my way. Works great with my new external USB 2.0 CDRW.

Absolutely terrible. I could defecate on this thing and it would probably work better. I spent five hours trying to get it to work with many headaches and curses. I was thinking the whole time it was a problem with my PC. Finally, after trying everything humanly possible (including updating my BIOS) and calling my motherboard tech support, I realized it had to have been a hardware issue. I tried everything (including switching it to different PCI slots) and everyone I asked was just as stumped as I was. Online knowledge base had nothing specific enough to even remotely help me and this company provides NO PHONE TECH SUPPORT, which is an automatic sign to me that the company is crud. I'm returning this piece of junk and getting an IOGEAR instead.

Plugged it into our Dell P3 600 MHz with the sideways PCI card cage, Windows XP SP2 found it and it worked. Hardest part was getting it out of the plastic package. An external USB hard drive worked thru this card with Acronis True Image booted from a CD (I think its Linux), can't remember if Norton Ghost 2003 booted from floppy worked but I think so. (It works under XP with either Norton or Acronis). No verify problems with Acronis between Windows or boot CD.

These cards are excellent for upgrading older PC's that only have USB 1.1 ports built-in or never had any USB capability.

I added one from Amazon to my brother's 600 mhz Celeron (circa 2000 home-brewed PC with Abit BM6 motherboard). I added a second card to his financee's 600 mhz Celeron (1999 vintage HP Pavilion 6730 with Trigem Cognac motherboard). Both cards are working perfectly. The key to this is that both machines are running Windows 2000 which supports USB 2.0 if you're running the latest service pack for Windows 2000.

I plan on buying a third card for my old Pentium-166 mhz which never had any USB.

True Plug and Play .......2007-07-17

Installation on my old Dell running Windows 2000 SP4 was painless.
The included driver CD is only needed for Win 95 and 98. Later Windows already has the driver. Which reduces the install to inserting the card, closing the computer cabinet, and rebooting.
Opening the clear plastic blister pack was the most challenging task.

If you have an older generation USB card in your computer and your looking for something to get data fater to you external PC or less latency from a midi keyboard to your computer, this baby will help. Those two reasons are why I bought it and I have no complaints! Easy install too.

I personally don't suggest Casio camera. My experience is very bad with this. It can simply work in good lighting for still photographs.

Movies quality is really pathetic.
There is no socket for AV out.
There is no provision for datetime stamp on photograph.
