I agree with the other reviews this print is not good........2007-02-05

Its been about a 1 year and half that I have had this printer and I must say I am very displeased. The first few months of this printer was great! It was fast and print quality was excellent, but that didn't last long. After those few months, this printer started to have major problems. First when printing in quick, better, etc the quality was extremely awful. Left streaks everywhere, like I said, even in better quality. Maybe around the 2 or 3rd try the printer would start to print normally. Want good quality images? Don't do it with this one. It won't give you a single decent picture. Did I mention this thing sucks up ink like there is no tomorrow? Its seems every month, (even on normal print use) I have to buy an ink cartridge. I love lexmark you know, but this printer just plain sucks. We have another lexmark printer in our house which is excellent, but this one is just blah! Don't buy it...even for a dollar. Its just not worth it!

Costly to run.......2007-02-02

In our experience, this printer runs fine. The problem is that ink seemingly cartridges last about two minutes. And the ink cartridges, at this point, have run us far more than the printer did in the first place! When as and if we get a replacement for this machine, it won't be from Lexmark.

Lexmark makes lousy products.......2006-12-28

I've owned two Lexmark printers, and both of them did not last two years. One had problems after 3 months of usage--would not print in black ink. The other one lasted two years, and it also stopped printing in black ink. I've tried installing new cartridges, and I've tried their ink nozzle cleaning program on numerous occasions--it doesn't help to fix the problem. I will never voluntarily buy a Lexmark product, ever again.

Don't buy this - yes, it's cheap, but unless you like babysitting your printer by feeding each sheet in by hand, you're better off spending a few more bucks and getting something that works.

Economical and Long Lasting.......2006-04-20

This printer has lasted a long time. I've had several HPs that jammed then died within six months of purchase, but this printer is a workhorse. It has been overused for three years now and still has great quality. I find the ink cartridges extremely simple and quick to change out. My only problem with the printer is that the color of printing on envelopes is sometimes a little funky (brownish), rather than the black it should be.

High Color Ink Use.......2005-01-31

I've only had mine for one year and only used it for photos. At first it printed well, but the paper feeder is hard to set and often misfeeds (more than one page at a time). The ink in the color cartridge dried up quickly and replacements are expensive. I've had a lot of problems with this one and even though their customer service responds quickly, they didn't always address the issue I was experiencing. I would not buy this brand again.

I have used my z705 for less than two months. The reason I gave it any stars is because the print quality is quite good for a disposable printer. Unfortunately, the black ink cartridge runs out quickly and replacements are overpriced. This is the second Lexmark I have ditched and purchased a Canon i560 instead.

Setup is fast and easy. The printer is reasonably fast and very quiet. Even without the special photo ink cartidge, photos printed on glossy paper look great. Printed text looks fine, too. It's a great little printer.

Low price, good quality, easy setup.......2003-10-14

This is a compact and fast little printer. I use Windows XP Pro, and the setup was practically instantaneous; I've never seen setup instructions with no words, just diagrams, before, but it worked flawlessly first time.

The construction is reasonably robust -- not too plasticky. The footprint is about 18" by 9" with the feed racks pulled in, but realistically you need about 18" wide by at least 10-12" deep -- the front rack, which gathers the paper, can stick off the table OK. The footprint is 18" by 18" with both racks pulled out. The cartridges snapped in perfectly; everything worked fine immediately. The paper feed is not finicky at all and aligned the paper perfectly.

The only criticism I have is simply that this is an inkjet and so without special paper (and even with) it's just not as precise as a laser. I printed out a couple of text pages: the text looked solid and black until I got up fairly close. There was just a tiny hint of fuzz on the diagonals, when I squinted, and a magnifying glass confirmed what I thought I saw -- the line is a little blurry.

The colour is strong and clear, and as precise as the black.

A couple of other points to note: the installation process will make this your default printer. That may well be what you want (it wasn't, for me), but if not then don't forget to go back and reset the system default via Start -> Printers. And secondly, note that Amazon also sells this with a USB cable for just one more dollar; this model doesn't have the cable, so get the other one if you don't have a cable to hand. Search for Z705 if you can't find the other one.

This is a great inkjet printer; for the price, this is as good as you're going to get.

Awesome prints, awesome price!.......2003-10-13

Best printer I've ever bought, at the best price I've ever paid! Prints gorgeous borderless 4x6 prints, especially with the Photo cartridge (not included). Printing photos on regular paper don't generally come out looking all that great, however. But for photo printing with glossy paper, and general web page printing is lightning fast in Quick Print mode. Would highly recommend to anybody who doesn't print often, but who needs good photo quality.

I can see clearly at any angle, DVD movies show crisp and clear, and the color brilliance can be adjusted. Lots of adjustment can be made, or in my case, hardly any - I love looking at this TV.

Surreal or Real?.......2001-12-13

On the showroom floor the JVC AV32F802 32" TV looked better than other brands that surrounded it. So I bought it. And three days later I returned it. Not to say its not an impressive unit. But beauty is in the eye of the beholder. After watching a Philips (Magnavox / Slyvania) television for the last 17 years, the JVC was a shock to my eyes. The reds were redder, the greens were greener and the whites look like they just come out of a Maytag front loading washer that was filled with bleach. In other words...everything was TOO colorful. The colors were surreal to me. I know...the colors can be adjusted, but no matter how often I did that, the faces still had that pinkish-red cast that I was never able to shake. Getting a decent picture on one channel (cable) changed when switched to another channel. For once, wife was in agreement with me on this one, and the JVC was returned. Much depends on the brand (color) that you have been used to veiwing for many years. If you are used to harsh bright colors, than you will like the JVC unit, but as for me....I went back to the softer more realistic tone of the Philips. I bought a Philips 32" (non flat screen) model 32PS60B for ($$$)., and enjoy it so much better. But like I said...Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. So be careful what you buy...Remember...you have to put up with that picture for the next 7 to 10 years. And make sure you check out the return policy from the source where you purchased it.

Great TV for the price.......2001-11-08

I was looking for a tv that was reasonably priced and with great picture. And I can tell you I was not dissapointed. Compared to my old TV, this one touches the sky.

Good Toner, Bad Picture.......2007-07-15

I own a GCC printer; I have had excellent results with their toner. Unfortuately, I cannot get anyone at Amazon to notice the photo for this cartridge is not a photo of a toner cartridge, it is a photo of an car stereo amplifier. For some reason, two attempts have been sent back by Amazon that they cannot confirm my complaint. If they just looked at the damn picture, they could tell!
