I really like this monitor but..........2005-03-11

After a few months a small "dark" spot the size of a thumb print appeared near the upper left corner. It slowly began to spead to the size of a coffee mug. Then the screen around its color seemed to fade and there was tempory burn in when i play games ( i use it as a Computer Monitor and watch TV thru a Video Card.)

I bought it from Sears and paid extra for a service plan, hopefully it will be fixed or replaced soon.

It was a really handy duel purposed device that saved tons of space and looked great too.

This TV is amazing. Its less than 3 inches thick and perfectly built. All quality, all top of the line. The remote sucks but once you turn on the tv you dont care anymore. HDTV is crystal clear, itll blow your socks off. Dvd's on progressive scan look great, but digital tv is a just little fuzzy but you learn to deal with it, because HD and Dvd are superb. you wont be dissapointed if you buy this.

Yea thats right samsung is da bomb. when i opened the box i was surprised that the TV was quite big (in a good way of course). Turned it on it was clearly one of the best looking TVs i had ever seen. Put in Finding Nemo DVD via Component cable.....Just blew me away with is clearity..This display rivals a Front Projector DLP! The sound is great with virtual DOLoby Surround sound all you have to do is connect a subwoofer and your good to go. The LCD is rich in featurs and conections. With DNIe technology that helps diliver the great images. The DVi, 2 component and Composite, + one s video inputs, and a subwoofer input. You will have a place to put every ELectonic device into the TV. The other way this TV shines is in its video game support. The component cable is a must have if you own a Xbox the graphics will blow your mind away! Every detail is shown very great experiance....GOOD JOB SAMSUNG nice TV....I Mean GREAT TV!

Superb image with 720p HDTV and computer graphics..........excellent audio with impressive spatial effects,,,,,,,beautiful 480p pictures from DVDs...........very wide viewing angle, very bright, high contrast, fast response LCD with no smearing, very crisp display......geometry in both 4 to 3 and 16 to 9 widescreen modes is superb.....test patterns from Arvia calibration disk reveal virtually perfect linearity, gray scale, tracking, and totally orthogonal raster with no pincushion or barrel distortion with extremely precise centering..........watch out Sony, Panasonic, Sharp, etc.......this set is terrific.....Minor nits ........remote is laid out badly, not backlit, and only has codes for limited 3rd party compatibility.....my HDTV cable box from Scientific Atlanta is not supported.....actually NONE of the Scientific America cable boxes are supported.........also, picture in picture limited to only a few modes which cannot mix, for example, computer images with component video from cable box, DVD, etc...........Longer warranty would be a nice plus........No audio output jacks except for subwoofer output (really!) and headphone jack........

Great TV, and what a bargain!.......2002-01-12

I bought this TV after Chistmas, because I wanted something bigger and better to use with my DVD player and Xbox. After looking at many TVs, and reading many reviews online (including Consumer Reports and epinions.com), I decided the JVC fit my bill. I hooked it up two weeks ago, and have been happy ever since.

It has a great picture, very good reliability, and also turned out to be quite a bargain in comparision to other sets like ($) Sonys. I decided to wait to take the HDTV plunge, because for me it's just not worth the ($) price difference. I'll use this TV for the next 4-5 years, and when I upgrade to HDTV, I'll have an awsome set for the bedroom.

We just bought the JVC AV-32D302 television and I am impressed. The image sharpness and quality is awesome and the features that comes with the tv are impressive. The sound is pretty good and I find that the TV itself has a great look. I would definitely recommend this product.

Nice laptop.......2006-03-19

I got this laptop as a replacement for my last laptop, which cost too much to fix. I hesitated, because it was a Gateway. I have not been disappointed yet. The screen is beautiful. The hard drive is big and offers plenty of storage space. It comes with an ATI graphics card, integrated, and it uses system memory, but a very good card nonetheless.

Pluses:

1. Comes with one of two memory slots filled, so adding more memory for more performance is easy and less costly.

2. AMD Mobile Athlon 3400+ performs very well.

3. Software. Comes with Windows Media Center Edition 2005, Nero, Cyberlink Power DVD, Micorsoft Works, and Microsoft Money. Good software package for the money.

Minuses:

1. Battery life. After tweaking on this unit, I am able to get almost 3 hours of battery life from it. Not bad, but not awesome.

2. Weight. This thing could double as a boat anchor. It is a very heavy unit, but very sturdy.

Overall, this unit gives you good bang for the buck. Performance is great now that I have increased the memory. I am using the 'Right Mark CPU utility'. That utility will maximize your CPU performance and call for maximum CPU processing power when needed. If you are debating on purchasing this unit, do not, it is a very good unit for the money.

Slam dunk!.......2006-03-18

Boo-yah! This laptop is extraordinary for all of your computing needs. Listen, I'm on the go constantly, and whether it be for work or for pleasure, my new Gateway Notebook PC is my rock--my foundation. I use it for EVERYTHING. I must have the little fella on about fourteen to fifteen hours a day. I'm no computer expert, but here is some of the key criteria by which I feel comfortable grading it:

Memory: Very strong. Whether I've shut down completely, or just left it on standby, my user name and preferences are always defaulted when logging into the Microsoft Hearts Network.

Graphics: Excellent! From the sharp green background, to the detail of the "Q" on a Queen of Spades, the graphics on this laptop are top-notch, no matter what program you're in.

Sound: Average. Some may complain there is some over-digitized and non-equalized wavelengths that occur, but I believe it depends on the programs you use most frequently. I find that the sounds effects of, say, cards shuffling or even the sounds made when cards are being passed to the player to your left or right are very realistic.

Networking: As I mentioned, my networking needs are a very high priority, and I have been nothing but pleased with my Gateway's connectivity ablilities. No complaints whatsoever. Within literally seconds of logging on to the Microsoft Hearts Network, I am counting up my clubs and diamonds, with a smile on my face.

Gaming: I don't have much time for games, so I don't feel comfortable rating this area.

Advanced Functions: When I'm logged onto "the Network" I have a slew of advanced functions at my disposal. I may choose to changes options like Animation Speed, Computer Player Names...really the list goes on, although it actually ends there. As you can see, when you've got a Gateway Notebook, only the limits of your imagination are your limits.

You may not need a laptop for all the same reasons I do--you may just be a college kid who has a term paper to write, or a granny who wants to send an e-mail to her dearest relatives halfway across the country, or a businessman who makes business on his computer--but for whatever your needs, what you need to do is get this computer now.

Big, Bright, some flaws.......2006-03-10

It's big, its heavy, but it is a great inexpensive machine for media in a laptop form factor. Four USB2 ports, a Firewire port, Ethernet, Wireless G nicely integrated. Nice big bright screen. Includes Windows Media Center -- I got a Hauppauge USB TV Tuner working well with it. My biggest complaint is the placement of the audio in and out jacks -- in the back of the machine, when the front or side would be much more convenient. Got mine on sale for $800, so shop around. Max the memory and stick in a 100GB drive and you're set.

Pros: Big bright screen. Well-ported.

Cons: Audio jacks in a most inconvenient location. Heavy.
