I came here to give my review of this product (because I was displeased enough to take action) and was surprised to see that the other reviews echoed my exact complaints.

We've had this phone for almost a year and we're replacing it because the buttons don't work dependably anymore. I've missed phone calls because the talk button wouldn't work when I pressed it.

On top of the button issue the battery life is feeble. This phone only holds a charge for a day or so.

This is a decent phone and answering system for about the first year, then two major problems start. If you have cell phones, charging them anywhere close to this phone will cause these problems to appear sooner than normal.

Buttons stick making it very hard to dial a number.

A clear conversation might be interrupted by "electronic noise."

My parents have always tried to buy high quality but not overly expensive telephones with the expectation that they wont last over two years. It has been about a year and a half and the phone is still doing great. They love the phone, the machine works great, and the phone serves its purpose.

Phone itself (reception, sound, answering machine, etc) works great, but the buttons stick and then fall off. I see from the reviews I am not the only one with this problem. I am in this site now to look for phones as I am now missing my #1, #3, and talk buttons. E-mailed GE to see the price of a new handset and got a useless response telling me to call some long distance number?! Off to buy a phone!

I used two boxes of these at our wedding reception. The guests loved them. It made the reception feel more personal, like more of a family dinner than a fancy reception.

The pictures we got back from the tables are fun and unique. Everyone has a variety of shots they got, and captured different situations.

The auto-flash feature is convnenient for those low light conditions and the picture quality is as with everything else Kodak, good.

I would recommend this product for weddings, graduations, parties of any kind. =)

Great Little Cameras.......2003-05-16

We used these at our wedding and found them to be terrific. The film quality is excellent. They are very easy to use so any of the guests felt comfortable shooting pictures. I would strongly recommend them to catch those candids at your wedding.

I recently graduated from college and knew ahead of time how much film I was going to use between senior week activities and graduation. My mom and I each bought me a box of these cameras and I used 6 out of 8 of them. They were actually easier to use then regular disposable cameras (because of the one touch flash). My friends found it funny that I had wedding cameras, but the phenomenal photos they took made it well worth it. I can't imagine a way they could have taken better pictures. The memories they captured and the quality in which they did it is second to none. I plan on ordering more for regular use and when I finally get married, plan on ordering a whole bunch. The price including shipping was actually competitive to most stores that sell disposables. I'd recommend these for vacations, graduations, weddings and parties. They took both indoor and outdoor photos very well!

Great for your wedding guests.......2002-05-09

It's a great diversion for guests at wedding receptions. I always enjoyed them when provided at receptions I attended. Now it's our turn and I made sure there is one at each table. What can I say -- it's Kodak, with the reliability and quality of Kodak film, and once a shot is taken with flash, the flash automatically recharges itself and is ready for the next shot for 2 minutes (so as not to drain the battery). Each camera is individually wrapped with an enclosed card that asks guests to take pictures as they please but to leave the camera at the table (I've heard that the "recovery" rate is just over 50% without these "state the obvious" cards -- why people swipe them is beyond me). Amazon has an amazing price too -- less than the "reloaded" wedding cameras available on [line store] and less than the cost of regular, non-wedding disposable cameras at [retail store]. It's well worth it.

These cameras are not "disposable" as the name suggests. When a "disposable" camera is turned in for processing, the camera itself is returned to the manufacturer for reconditioning. The camera might be returned 10 times and resold.

It's good to be concerned about the environment, but it's also helpful to have all the information.

Exquisite Collectible Leica MP.......2004-12-21

Hermes, the fashionable, expensive French fashion and small goods manufacturer, has the largest minority ownership in Leica Camera AG, so it's not surprising that its influence can be seen in this expensive, collectible version of the Leica MP. It is without a doubt, one of the most beautiful Leica M rangefinder cameras I have seen. But is it worth the money and will it be a desirable Leica collectible? My gut reaction to both questions is no (The most desirable collectible cameras have been special edition Leica Historical Society of America (LHSA) titanium editions, and low-production regular models.). But if you are someone for whom price is no object and you simply want one of the most lovely Leica M cameras ever made, then you must acquire the Leica MP Hermes Special Edition, or build your own via Leica's new A La Carte program, at a somewhat substantial savings. My own personal preference would to buy your own custom-made MP with M7-styled rewind crank and film advance lever with plastic tip, than acquire this lovely camera.

Extraordinary picture. Sharper image, precise color without needing adjustment...and I have a small RCA 13" and a Panasonic. This picture is better. The autochannel setup directions were a bit confusing...and in fact I set it up by playing around. But, I can't believe the picture quality. I'm getting another set. Really great.

This states that there are FRONT and BACK AV inputs, there are NONE in the front, only in the back.

I bought this TV specifically because it would be easy for the child I purchased it for to hook up his Nintendo systems and such right from the front.

This is simply not possible, there are no inputs in the front, so they are simply stating an untruth here.

This is a very cute TV. If you get sick of those black boxes and want something matching your room design, this one is certainly the choice. The image is sharp and audio is crystal clear. I have some knowledge of the TV business. Actually the major parts of the TV are manufactured by Japenese or Korean producers, so the quality will be OK. And, what's more, what other brands can you buy with this price?

I didn't expect much for a TV priced at $... The TV and remote themselves are ugly as sin. The remote has a very cheap feel to it, and the sound quality isn't that good. But then again, this TV gets 181 channels; has a crisp, clear picture; is easy to set up; and comes with lots of features you wouldn't expect such as sleep timer, A/V in-out, Timer on-off, and a full function remote control. I don't know if I have ever spent so little and got so much when purchasing electronic equipment. This is perfect for an extra TV in the kitchen or bedroom.

Outstanding Package.......2003-05-13

This machine really flys! The 2.53GHz P4 processor combined with 512MB of DDR memory really make this machine scream even with the most demanding video games. The GeForce 4 MX420 graphics card delivers fast, crisp images even during online gaming where I have experienced most of my problems with video jumping on other machines. The sound is crisp and clear and the bundled speakers are really nice. I really like the DVD Burner feature that let's me make movies on DVD that play on my home DVD player. The built-in 6-in-1 memory card reader is a really nice touch and takes both of the memory cards I use with my MP3 player and my digital camera. This makes loading MP3s and downloading images from my camera to my PC a snap. This alone made the machine upgrade worth the money spent. No complaints here... at all!

Warning do not think that you can capture and share any video with this unit. I purchased this unit thinking I could take my home movies from vhs to dvd Wrong! You will be unable to share any captured video on this unit with any other PC or DVD player due to copyright protection. With that functionality gone the unit is massively overpriced.

The media center PC is quite a cool concept. . . The new windows version is pretty cool too! I do like the computer; but I do not like the fact that there are no open PCI slots. With all the components in the box, there is no real room to expand, only to replace.

The Audigy sound card is exceptional. It is capable of supporting Dolby 5.1 surround sound. The nVidia GeForce MX 420 graphics is not the best, but it isn't bad. I still wish they would start packing them with the TI GeForce cards, they are considerably better. The onboard memory reader is a plus. The only problem is that it only has four of the five current flash-style card slots. It supports Sony Memory Stick, Smart Media, Compact Flash, and Secure Digital. It does not support the new XD memory type used in many Olympus digital cameras.

The unit comes with great speakers. The processor speed is good, P4 2.53 GHz. 512 MB of DDR RAM is a must for today's demanding applications and games. The DVD recorder is cool. The audio/video equipment is awesome. The fact that you can capture television is great.

The HP f70 flat panel monitor is a great compliment to this machine. It is expensive, but a quality piece. This machine as a whole is great. If you are not a fan of assembling your own computer, you will not find a machine with more already on-board capabilities. . .

Great PC/multimedia center, but pricey.......2002-11-14

This computer runs the new Windows XP Media Center Edition, which is basically a superset of Windows XP Professional Edition. The extras in this superset are the multimedia enhancements that turn specially designed PCs ("media center PCs" such as this Pavilion) into a 1) DVD player/recorder (yes, you can actually record DVD movies from your own videos, but not duplicating commercial DVD content); 2) souped-up TV with digital recording capability (like UltimateTV or better known TiVO); 3) "one-touch" music center; 4) easy-to-use photo center.

The hardware specs are very impressive. Speedy 2.53Ghz Pentium 4 processor coupled with 512MB of RAM and 120GB hard disk. A DVD-RW and CD-RW combo drive, with 2.4/2.4/8 for DVD and 12/10/32-48 for CD. Klipsch 200W speaker system. And nVidia GeForce 4 MX420 graphics card with 64MB VRAM. You also get USB 2.0 and IEEE 1394 ports; slots for CompactFlash II, SmartMedia, Secure Digital/Multimedia Card, and Memory Stick; as well as Ethernet and modem cards. It's as complete a PC as I've seen.

In terms of day-to-day use, the Media Center PC differs from an ordinary PC in where it's used (anywhere in the home), for what it's used (as a PC *and* TV/video/audio/pictures center), how it's used (with a remote control in addition to keyboard and mouse), as well as by whom it's used (from the toddler to great-great-grandma). It's a very versatile and powerful computing/entertainment environment... and very easy to set up.

That said, the price for this model does NOT include a monitor, so when you buy the complete system, you are paying a roughly 25% premium over a similarly equipped "regular" Windows XP PC. Is it worth this premium? I think so because 3/4 of my family members are computer-phobic, and this wonderful new product has appealed to all of them like no computer before.

This works great!.......2005-01-12

My laptop hard drive crashed a year ago and although we've been backing our files up since then, the size of our files had gotten to the point where using cd's were just a pain. So an external hard drive was a good solution and also offered the additional flexibility of backing up the entire system.

My comments are as follows: 1) This is probably way more memory then I need, but given the incremental expense of going from the 40GB model to the 80GB model, I figured it was better to have and not need, then... 2) This drive is quiet! I need to put my hand on it to make sure it's really running because you can't hear it over the computer. 3) It has it's own on/off button so you don't have to leave it on all the time. 4) I have Windows XP (Home) and it was truly plug and play. 5) It comes FAT formatted, which resulted in 3 partitions when I installed it. It takes a little time to reformat it to NTSF and to change the partitions, but it's really not a big deal. If I were the manufacture, I would pre-format it the same way since earlier versions of Windows can use FAT but not NTSF. 6)Given my experience of my original hard drive crashing and reviews of alternate drives, dependability was a big issue. I figured that Iogear's 3 year warranty was a great proxy for this evaluation. Some other drives out there actually have 90 day warranties...no way I was going to touch those models!
