Customer Reviews:
These batteries are great!.......2007-09-09
I bought these batteries for use with my Canon S2 digital camera. I was having trouble with typical nimh batteries because I would charge a spare pair of batteries for use when the main pair died. But I was finding that the ones I charged a few weeks ago would be almost fully discharged by the time I would swap them. This was really annoying and pretty much defeated the purpose of having rechargeables... I had to use alkalines instead. But this new so called 'hybrid'/low discharge technology finally solves this problem. Of course it does not solve it completely because these batteries still discharge over time... just a lot slower, but at least now I know I have a pair of batteries that are at least 80 percent or so charged when I swap them. This technology was actually developed by an small independent company and licensed for use with all the major battery companies now. For instance, Sony is also utilizing it in their new batteries now. To me, this demonstrates how well it works.
So how does it hold up in real life? Pretty darn well, actually. I noticed that these particular batteries last really long in my Canon S2. I haven't had the problem of charged batteries being totally discharged by the time I swap them anymore. So if you're having similar problems with your older Nimh batteries, I would recommend giving these batteries a try. But don't feel limited to this brand, there are many other brands utilizing this technology and I've used other brands with the same great results.
Tip: If you live near a Fries Electronics, they have a nice selection of battery choices that utilize this technology.
So far I like them.......2007-09-08
4 out of 5 Stars ONLY because I just haven't used them long enough to give them 5. Sanyo just has dominated the market in rechargeables for over a decade so they get 4 out of the box for me.
I used to race RC cars for a long time and Sanyo made the best batteries back then. I think they are the leader in that technology so I was pretty excited when I found these. I'm good about cycling (running them out before charging) even with Ni-MH batteries. It's a good practice that will exercise the battery and reduce the number of times you charge it. Charging and discharging produces heat. Heat is the enemy of batteries. We used to do this to prevent "memory" in Ni-CAD batteries. Which isn't an issue with Ni-MH batteries. So I'm not shy about "short charging" them if I have to. The Eneloops help in this respect because I don't have to worry about grabbing the backup set for my GPS or Camera and having them be dead from "self discharging" if they've been sitting in the bag for a few months. That's the selling point IMO. My other rechargeable batteries have been relegated to TV and other home remote control devices. The eneloops are in my key electronics.
If you have a charger already for other batteries, you're probably good to go without buying another for the Eneloops. Check the specs first though as using one can void the warranty on the batteries.
Great batteries.......2007-09-07
I am very satisfied with eneloop batteries. I tested them out and they exceeded their typical mAh ratings slightly. I have not tested how long they hold their charge yet, but they seem to hold their charge better than standard NiMH batteries. Sanyo batteries (I am using eneloop AAA and Sanyo AA NiMH) also have a lower failure rate than other batteries I have used so I am assuming the eneloop AA will have a low failure rate also. I plan to switch over to eneloop batteries for all new purchases.
Ready to use........2007-08-29
These batteries are just as claimed. They are ready to use and they help save the environment because they reduce waste.
Best Rechargable Batteries Ever 2007.......2007-08-28
I got these batteries because all my other rechargable batteries lose charge by the time I'm ready to use them. These are awesome. I don't use batteries all the time but when I need eneloop they are ready! That is why I love them. They are even ready right out of the box. It's too bad I can't find them in the store yet. Amazon came through. Eneloop batteries are awesome.

Product Description
The classical advantages of rechargeable batteries are: high performance, especially if high discharge currents are required ( like in digital cameras ) cheap in use, because they can be recharged many times; environmental friendly, because one rechargeable battery replaces 1000 disposable batteries; good performance at low temperatures. A special feature found in eneloop batteries from Sanyo is an extremely efficient (low) dormant discharge rate. That means, when not used, the charge is retained for long periods. Of course you (and we) recommend using these batteries over and over/ Just in case you don't, you can be assured the battery will retain up to 85% of its charge over the course of a year.Because the eneloop has a very low self-discharge, SANYO can ship the batteries in a charged state so they're ready to use out of the pack. In contrast to a disposable battery the eneloop can be charged 1000 times. This saves the environment and your purse. Thus one eneloop saves the waste of 999 disposable batteries. Even if you consider the slightly higher cost of the eneloop compared to a disposable battery and add the cost for the charger and the energy consumed by the charger, the investment for one eneloop returns easily after a few charging cycles. Imagine how much money you have spent for batteries in your life. Now there is an end to this spending!
Amazon.com Product Description
In years past, you had to recharge your rechargeable batteries before leaving on a trip or sliding them into your electronic device. Otherwise, you ran the risk of depending on nearly dead batteries once you reached your destination, as stored power tends to degrade over time. Now GE/Sanyo steps into the void with its eneloop line of batteries, which come pre-charged and ready to use right out of the pack. Even better, the batteries have an extremely low self-discharge rate, with the ability to maintain 85 percent of residual capacity after one year of storage and 70 percent residual capacity after two years of storage. As a result, leaving home without recharging the batteries won't ruin your Bryce Canyon vacation or cross-country plane trip.
Eneloop batteries offer a number of advantages over traditional alkaline batteries, including up to four times more power when used in a digital camera, high performance even at low temperatures (down to 23 degrees F) during your winter vacation, and a vast cost savings in the long run. The eneloop advantages are even more glaring when compared to typical NiMH batteries: not only are they ready for use right out of the box, but they generally last longer than most NiMH batteries (continuous and frequent recharging can destroy other NiMH models) and save both time and money (traditional NiMH charging is slow when you're in a hurry, while rapid chargers are expensive). All told, you can recharge eneloop batteries up to 1,000 times without experiencing a memory effect; just charge the amount you need and you're set.
This compact eneloop charging kit comes with four 2,000 mAh AA batteries, which are ideal for everything from digital cameras to TV remotes to portable audio players. The kit also offers a number of safety features, including an over-voltage protection system that shuts down when a dry-cell battery is accidentally inserted and a built-in protection system that boasts industry-leading safety and reliability features. And thanks to the unit's foldaway AC plug--which offers worldwide voltage--you can take the lightweight charger virtually anywhere.
Customer Reviews:
These are the batteries to get.......2007-09-15
The buzz around GE/Sanyo's Eneloops is well-deserved. They are affordable (I paid $25 for four batteries and a charger) and provide flawless performance. I use these nickel metal hydride (NiMH) AA rechargeables almost exclusively in my digital camera. When it comes to my camera, nothing is more important to me than battery life. I just don't have the time or the patience to constantly cycle batteries through my camera. I'd rather be taking pictures. My experience with the Eneloops has been positive. They last an extremely long time in the camera. I also can have a charged pair stored in my bag and not worry that the charge will be gone next week when I need them (this is a problem that nickel cadmium (NiCd) batteries haven't overcome yet). As for the charger, it is nice although the cover on mine is pretty loose and can slide up when I'm not expecting it (although the batteries are made in Japan, the charger is made in China). And I like that the plug folds into the charger (that way I don't have to worry about it getting damaged in my bag). If I could offer only one tip, as far as I can tell, this is not a 'smart' charger. So you risk overcharging if you don't unplug the charger when the green charge light goes off. Overcharging a NiMH battery shortens its life considerably. But at least you don't have to worry about the 'memory effect' with NiMHs (NiCds have to be fully discharged or the active areas on the electrodes will diminish).
Quality Product!!!.......2007-09-10
This is a great quality SMART charger and it comes with even better Eneloop rechargeable batteries which are perfect for practically any device requiring AA/AAA batteries. The charger also charges other brands of batteries unlike what the manual says and the fold-away AC plug is very convenient for travel, space and cord-clutter specific people. HOWEVER, THIS IS NOT A UNIVERSAL VOLTAGE CHARGER...IT'S 110-120V. I was very disappointed when I found this out because we use 220-240V where I'm from. Also, this is not a "SUPER-QUICK" charger which is fine to preserve battery life. Otherwise, it's a great SMART charger!!!
Good Product.......2007-09-09
I was a bit skeptical, but found that the batteries lasted a long time in my digital camera, longer than standard AA batteries (or even enhanced 'digital' AA). So far the only drawback is that it takes a long time to charge (overnight).
Great Product at a Good Price.......2007-09-01
These batteries are great for cameras. The 4-pack with 4-bay charger is the way to go. I used to have the 2-bay charger but lost it. Beach Audio had the 4-bay for less than I paid retail for the 2-bay! The batteries are charged when you get them (definitely a plus), and they last quite awhile. We're even going to put them in our baby's play-yard mobile because they last so long.
Good but not great.......2007-08-29
I got these batteries with the hopes that my camera would take the supposed "400 pics vs alkaline 100 pics" and was diappointed. Granted it was on the 1st charge (and just to be sure I charged them before use) but still after only about 50 shots I was down to half charge. That's about the same as with the alkalines I had in there before. I cant attest to whether or not they hold their 85% charge for a year or not, nor will I ever (I mean who let's the camera sit there for a year without use?? Mine as well just buy a disposable for that "special occasion") but as far as the 400 shot capacity, I think it's kind of a joke. But atleast they're rechargeable lol.

Customer Reviews:
Best rechargeables currently available.......2007-09-19
These batteries have one major advantage over most other rechargeables - they retain their charge much longer. This is especially useful for my digital camera. I don't use it every day and may go 2-3 weeks between uses. With other brands I would always have to charge up a new set of batteries each time I used my camera because they would discharge while sitting idle in my camera for 2 weeks. Now I can just pick up my camera and go.
These don't have the highest capacity out there, but since the higher capacity batteries discharge pretty quickly, I find that I actually get a lot more usage from these than I did from 2500mAh Energizers. I hope they do come out with a higher capacity version eventually, but even now they beat all the competition out there.
Great batteries.......2007-09-13
I was looking for a good set of rechargables and found these. I am very happy with the battery life I get between charges.
Great batteries!.......2007-07-25
This is truly a GREAT product. One of the few times I ordered a new product and gotten everything I'd hoped for and more! I'd always hesitated buying rechargeable batteries because of their tendency to loose their charge when sitting idly in a camera or other device. Not these! I'm a believer. They have both high potency and long storage life. This is one of the few products I've ever recommended without reservations.
best battery ever.......2007-05-16
I use these batteries in my COBY mp3 player. It plays about 3-4 hours of music with out problem.
Decent rechargeable and hold charge pretty well.......2007-05-13
I have used them for a couple weeks now and they perform pretty well.

Customer Reviews:
Works great with HDTV receiver.......2007-09-09
I had one of the other phone gadgets that transferred through the electrical lines. It never worked right and never updated my satellite service that required a direct connection to a phone line. These work great! They connected right away and updated my service with no problems. I would recommend these to anyone that is having the same problem.
DualJack Works Perfect. .......2007-09-08
After doing some research for a product like this, I was convinced it was worth it to spend the extra money to get the DualJack. Using radio waves seemed like the safer bet for this technology compared to the others. Luckily, I found this on the worlds biggest auction site for only $40. Setup took all of 1 minute and the product worked the first time out of the box. Even though it will take 9 months to break even, I found owning this gives me more satisfaction than paying the cable company $5/month in ransom money.
great product.......2007-08-28
Easy to set up. I am using the product for my fax machine and it is working great so far, but I have only had it a few weeks.
Wireless Phone Jack works great!.......2007-08-27
The Wireless Phone Jack (RTX DUALjack RTX3241S) arrived on time and took about 5 minutes to install to connect my downstairs phone jack with a DVR box upstairs. I now save the additional $5 per month that Dish charges for not plugging in.
Unfortunately, I have two receivers so we're still getting hit with another $5 charge.
I'm delighted with the Wireless Phone Jack but Dish is a pain.
bridgeh2o.......2007-08-24
If the jack allowed the time and date to pass I'd rate it at five stars. For someonw who just wants an extention phone where there is no phone jack it would probably be fine. Although the jack does allow the name and number to show on the TV screen it does not allow information to pass through to the log. When I try to go back to find the time and date of a call is indicates all calls received Fiday, December 23 at 5:28 pm ragardless of actual time and date received. I tried to resolve the problem but everyone involved points the finger to someone else! I finally gave up! I should have done more research before my purchase.

Awesome in the Pentax K100D.......2007-09-21
I've got 8 of these AAs and have been using them since the end of August 2007.
They came fully charged and ready to go.
I haven't timed how long it takes for the Sanyo charger to recharge them.
No problems whatsoever.
Great!.......2007-08-24
I bought these batteries for my digital camera because I was tired of only getting about half a day of pictures out of my alkaline batteries. These are great! So far we have used our camera for 3 long days of pictures and not had to recharge them at all! Now I just hope they hold up to their reputation of withstanding lots of recharges -- unlike our last set of "rechargeable batteries"....
Put them in the freezer.......2007-08-22
Found a web page (don't know where it is now) where someone tested these out and wrote to Sanyo during his tests while he was trying to verify their claims. Turns out for long term storage, they hold their charge much better in the freezer. I'm no engineer though. I am converting to 100% eneloop. I think these things are amazing and am recommending them to everyone I meet.
Keeps going and going.......2007-07-26
I bought these after buying the "Energizer NH15BP-4 ACCU 2500mAh Rechargeable AA Batteries (Four-pack)". The Energizer batteries were a disaster. They would run out very quickly. When I left the batteries (fully charged) alone for a few days I would come back to find them completely drained. The GE/Sanyo on the other hand is great. I don't have to charge them too often, and I can leave them for weeks and use them again for another round of photos. Unlike the Energizer batteries, these keep going and going...
Always ready.......2007-07-14
I really like these rechargeable batteries because the don't seem to loose any of their charge just sitting around. The are ready to go when needed

Customer Reviews:
GREAT Camera!! Better than the Nikon L11.......2007-09-11
I have had this camera for about 2 weeks and I LOVE IT!! I previously had a Nikon L11 and returned it due to the known issue of it just freezing up when it wants. I purchased this camera as a replacement for the Nikon. The Pros:
- It starts quickly
- Takes GREAT pictures
- It's small/lightweight
- Has great features that many other cameras in its price range can't touch (Stabilization Mode for one)
- It was priced about $60 - $70 less than comparable cameras (I bought mine for $99.00 - $60.00 less than the Nikon)
- It turns heads (It's finished in shiny black and chrome)
- It has a quicker regeneration time than the Nikon
- It fits into my wife's purse or my pocket easily
- It is 7MP as opposed to the Nikon's 6MP
- It has a Continuous Shot option
- Operates on 2 AA batteries
- 26 MB of internal memory
The Cons:
- It's physically a little larger than the Nikon, but lighter
- You can not turn off the Quick Review of your pics after you take a pic. Therefore the regeneration time is extended
- No flash while in Stabilization Mode
- LCD screen is a little difficult to see due to the shiny case that covers it. The Nikon won this battle as it was a matte finish and very easy to see in sunlight. A small price to pay for all the other features (hold your hand over the screen)
- A sometimes pixelated image while zoomed in close. No effect on the picture taken though.
If I could have given a 4.5, I would have. It is a great little camera and I can't wait to see what GE has in store for the future. A GREAT little camera from a company that make everything from Toasters to Jet Engines!!!
Great camera.......2007-06-11
I bought this camera to replace a $350 first generation SONY digital camera that I've had for over 5 years. This camera works great. Large LCD screen and easy to use controls are a plus. The camera is very well put together - a quality product. Syncs effortlessly with my Macbook and my PC. Picture quality is very good. A great camera for anyone looking for a digital camera at a reasonable price.
One (or two) big flaws from perfection.......2007-06-10
I bought the GE A730 because it has by far the best feature set of any camera in its class at an unbelievable price. It's pocket-sized, with image stabilization, manual controls, a useful 35-140mm lens (35mm equivalent), a one-thirds grid on the LCD to help with composition and keep horizons straight, and on and on. It also has the best user manual I've ever seen. When I got it home, however, I immediately discovered its Achilles heel. I could not use the LCD in full sunlight, even at its brightest setting, and the A730 does not have an optical viewfinder. Also, the LCD is so reflective that the reflection of your own image blurs the screen even further, even in less than full sunlight. Besides that, I found that the automatic focus tended to hunt in almost all lighting conditions--though, in fairness, that could be just a flaw in the particular camera I bought, or "pilot error" due to my lack of experience, and not a general flaw in all A730s. I returned the camera for a refund and called GE Customer Service. I had called them once before with questions about the camera and they were savvy, polite, patient, and eager to please. When I told the person who answered about the problems I had with the A730, I could hear him typing it into his computer. He thanked me, said GE's R&D department wanted as much feedback as possible, whether good or bad, and said he was forwarding my remarks to them "as we speak." Except for the LCD (and perhaps the hunting AF) the A730 is a landmark point-and-shoot with superb features, at an unbeatable price, supported by excellent customer service. Despite my disappointing experience, I'm not giving up on GE cameras. Almost all new products have "bugs" in them that have to be worked out. The company seems more than willing to correct flaws, and if it does, there won't be a camera in the A730's class that can touch it. I'll watch with great interest to see if GE follows through on the feedback, and am looking forward to the release of their E850, which has a 28-140mm equivalent lens, a bit more resolution and all the other fine features of the A730. I hope GE makes the necessary corrections. They are just "this close" to producing a camera, backed by a customer support system, that all others will be measured by.

Large Button/Screen Phone Review.......2007-09-20
Good tone, excellent display screen, nice features. Two problems: 1- The cradle for the handset is inadequate to secure it. There have been instances when the phone was off the hook and we didn't realize it. 2- The cable for the charger should be longer in order to allow connection to the closest outlet.
Great phone for great price.......2007-09-16
This is a wonderful phone with all the latest technology and easy to see and use.
Speakerphone works very wel. A great corded phone for a bargain price.
EXCELLENT CORDED PHONE.......2007-09-03
DOES EVERYTHING THE DESCRIPTION SAYS. ALTHOUGH THE BUTTONS ARE LARGE AND THE NUMERAL ON EACH BUTTON IS LARGE, THE ALPHA LETTERS ON EACH BUTTON ARE VERY SMALL. ASIDE FROM THAT, ALL THE FUNCTIONS WORK WELL, VERY SATISFIED WITH THIS PHONE. IT IS ALSO COMPATIBLE WITH THE JABRA T5330 BLUETOOTH HEADSET.
I Bought 2 phones and one went defective in 3 weeks.......2007-08-31
I had to trash one of the 2 phones. The display went unreadable and the phone would not work at all.
Great Bedroom Phone.......2007-08-23
I purchased the GE Big Button Phone to use in my bedroom. The size is good for the bedside table, and I especially like the large letter lighted display on this phone. I also like being able to cut off the ringer when desired. I very much like having the phone plug into an electrical outlet instead of using batteries. Great phone, great price, and great display! I would highly recommend.

Customer Reviews:
Excellent Batteries.......2007-09-13
These batteries can run for a long time on high drain devices. I use them in my mp'3 player and digital camera regularly and I can usually expect about a days worth of on and off usage. I previously had the Sanyo 2500 mAh and were impressed by their charge time and the amount of usage time that i got out of them. However with a big trip coming i decided i needed some more power to carry around with me so i opted out for these. Fast charge time using Sanyo's Super Quick Charger. I highly recommend this battery. If you buy these you know that you'll be getting a quality and reliable battery.
Good product!.......2007-09-10
I find this product accidentally in Amazon. I bought it and came back to Amazon to buy more. It is no longer available.

best i've had.......2007-05-25
after using duracell, energizer, kodak and a few others, i got these sanyos and they are by far the best ones. now, the bc-900 charger makes a lot of difference too.
long life, well built. last 30% longer than my previous 2500mah energizers.
Excellent lasting power.......2007-05-13
These batteries last extremely well in my Canon S3 IS camera and seem very satisfactory indeed. They recharge just as quickly as others but last longer.

Amazon.com Product Description
Ideal for small offices or busy roommates, the GE 29869GE2 is a completely digital answering system containing four mailboxes. The call-screening speaker allows you to answer only the calls you want to; you can even set the precise number of rings before the machine picks up. With 40 minutes of memory, you won't worry about running out of space, and you can easily set a time limit for individual messages. Each incoming message automatically receives a time-date stamp, and simple controls offer the options of listening to only the new messages or listening to every message, along with deleting, saving, or skipping. Remote access allows you to check in while at work or on vacation, and with the addition of a 9-volt battery, the machine is able to save messages even through a power outage. GE provides a one-year limited warranty on parts and service.
Customer Reviews:
There are no really high quality message mahines today.......2007-09-15
This is just as good (or bad) as any other machine I have had. Sometimes it cuts people off and doesn't take the message. When it does, the message is only barely discernable at times. OK, but not great. I would gladly pay double for good recording quality, but can't find it. Everyone seems to have gone to telephone company voice mail. But then they don't know when a message has come in, so they never return your call!
problems.......2007-07-30
This answering machine had 1 message cut off, wouldn't allow one person to leave a message, and another had to call back repeatedly in order to leave a message. This was all in the first use of the machine. Digital Messaging System with 4 Mailboxes
GE Answering Machine.......2007-07-17
I am very happy with this product. Easy to install and has flexibility
of 4 mailboxes. Price is reasonable and highly rated by Consumer Report.
Good for the most part.......2007-07-12
I have had this for a few years now. It replaced my computer program MSPHONE that had multiple voice boxes but didn't work with XP. For the most part it worked well but the voice quality seems to be going down hill lately although I am getting more cell calls now.
If you want to make your small business look bigger by utilizing multiple mailboxes then this is the machine to use. Sound quality is sub par though so I am dreaming of a different brand w/ multiple mailboxes. Until then I am stuck.
BTW, I was successful in setting it to answer on 4 rings and putting it after a Brother MFC5840CN All in One which successfully answers faxes with the TAD on!!!!
Lucky Me.
High capacity, but unfortunately the same pathetic voice quality as all the rest.......2007-06-11
I purchased this machine because it has the most recording time and most mailboxes of all the consumer systems out there--I need these features for my business. I also need the recording quality to be good, like your run-of-the-mill commercial voicemail system (or the old cassette-type machines) because I need to capture and edit these voice messages on my computer. On the recommendation of a couple of reviewers in this forum who stated that the voice quality was great, I decided to give this model a try.
Well, this system does deliver the capacity, but I'm sorry to say that the voice quality is one of the worst I've ever heard on a digital answering machine. It's the same problem that plagues all digital answerers: it sounds like you're hearing the message through water. I have a puny, 4-year-old digital Radio Shack answerer at home that blows this item away in terms of voice quality. (Unfortunately Radio Shack no longer makes answerers.) In terms of the outgoing message, I tried recording it remotely by calling in (which results in a much better sounding announcement than doing it in the same room), but even that sounds crummy.
Sorry to be a downer here. Don't get me wrong: this unit may suit you for home purposes, but the quality--which I find to be at or slightly below par for digital answerers--is not at all acceptable for a business.
I am really disappointed with the state of affairs in the digital answering machine world (and regular telephones for that matter, but that's a whole other story). Tape-based machines, which have far superior fidelity compared to these digital pieces of junk, are no longer made. I am truly perplexed why we can't get the quality of commercial voicemail servers in a small package. Are the makers of commercial servers are in cahoots with the folks who make consumer models to keep the quality down?
So, the bottom line is that I thought I could get away with not paying my local phone company $10/month for voicemail service, but alas, I have finally decided I cannot. Just what this world needs--someone giving more easy money to AT&T for voicemail service.
