Doesn't hold charge.......2007-09-07

I've tried and tried and tried... the headset dies after a half hour, even on standby. I've left it charging all night, no good. Maybe I got a dud? Unfortunately I left it in the package for a really long time and my warranty was no longer good. Don't buy this piece 'o S#$&.

Good cheap headset.......2007-08-10

I've used mine for making Skype calls and am perfectly happy with the quality. Not the most stylish headset, but a functional and reasonably comfortable one - good for use up to a few hours before it becomes painful to wear.

Ear piece broke after several months.......2007-08-02

Did not use it heavily, maybe once a week or so, and after a couple of months of gentle use, the earpiece just snapped in half. No warning.

I don't hand out five stars lightly and the product actually isn't 100% perfect but since it's as close as any Bluetooth headset has come to perfection, the Logitech Mobile Freedom gets the high score.

Keeping in mind that that any given product review is likely to focus on what is important to the reviewer, here's why I've put all my other Bluetooth headsets in my retired gadget drawer:

PROS:

- Most stable connection of all headsets I've used, hardly *ever* drops on the 5 different phones I've used it with.
- Actually works when the phone is on your belt. The dirty secret of most Bluetooth headsets is that the signal does not travel well from waist to headset; your body is an obstruction given where your ear is located. You have to move the phone to your shirt pocket in many cases. This is NOT the case with the Logitech, it is crystal clear even when phone is in pocket, belt holster, or even in your briefcase. This is true with all phones I tested it with.
- Loud! This headset can be turned up much louder than any other headset I've used. This is a big deal in noisy environments like airports.
- The windstop really works. Unlike many other headsets, which are often made useless by even light wind, I've used the Logitech Mobile Freedom in high wind situations without any complaints on the other side of the conversation.
- Fairly comfortable for long periods. There are headsets which are more comfortable but I've had this on for hours with minimal ear ache afterward.
- Charge lasts for a long time. Only once has it turned off in mid-conversation. Hours of talk time typically.
- Serious distance champ. I can walk across my apartment (over 30 feet, farther than it's officially rated for) and the signal is crystal clear.
- Convenient and bright charging light
- Very compact travel charger
- Works great with phones that have voice dialing capability

CONS:

- Is one of the bulkiest and ugliest headsets out there. You will get stares.
- Not USB chargeable, that I know of anyway
- Weird volume quirk at beginning of each call, where you have to turn it up right away to hear well. Easy to get used to but no other headset does this.
- No case or easy way to 'holster' it if you want to keep it on your person. If you put it in your pocket or bag, the buttons get pushed and you get reconnected even if you want it to be off.

The bottom line: I've used the Jawbone, Motorola headsets, the executive version of this headset, Plantronics, and many others. None compare to this "Energizer Bunny" of headsets. It just keeps going and going, with rarely a dropped call, by far the clearest conversation, and lots of volume when you need it. Highly recommended.

Great in theory..........2007-07-13

I've owned this for over a year. I just shipped it back for a refund last week.

This is a pretty good headset as far as design goes... but it has a few flaws, and of course the kicker that forced me to return it.

The headset is rather light and comfortable since it sits on your ear instead of being in it. With that little factoid, I have to say that the volume on the headset is decent to good (based on my experience with my phone, an i580), but if you're partially deaf like I am, it might not live up to expectations. That's with my phone, though.

I don't usually keep my windows rolled down in my car when I use this, so I'm not sure how well the wind-noise cancellation works.

Here's my kicker that killed every bit of enjoyment with it: the battery died. To be more accurate, a little after a year of use, the battery would refuse to charge, or so it seemed. Leaving it plugged in overnight would yield me 5 minutes of talk time. Absolutely ridiculous. I finally called Logitech up to see if I could get it serviced... and instead they offered to refund me the full price I paid, which I suppose was pretty good for service. (They don't support this headset anymore.)

Maybe mine was a lemon, but then again, I hear some similar stories. I hope that you have a better experience.

a great camera for keeping with you at all times.......2002-04-29

i bought the kodak advatix c450 simply because i needed a camera i could just keep in my handbag and whip out whenever necessary. i have plenty of [costly] large cameras which i use for major events or planned shoots but this is a nice, light, point-and-snap camera which is [less costly] and easy to keep with you without logging round a large camera case! the three pictures shots make for more control over your pictures and the autofocus means it is as simple and flicking it open and clicking. for a first time camera buyer or for someone who just wants an easy camera this is a good buy.
