As others have noted, this clock radio does *not* have the 7/5/2-day programming option, which was critical to me.

J&R was nice about the return but they wouldn't credit my shipping because they say they aren't responsible for descriptions on Amazon. (I checked and the J&R description of this clock radio is correct - no claim about the non-existent "feature.")

So in the end I was out the time and money for shipping. But I do really like the Sangean RCR-22 I got as a substitute!

I am very happy with this purchase. The nature sounds are great to fall asleep to. I am impressed with the sound quality from an alarm clock. It looks very sleek on my bedside table. I would recommend this!

Stopped working after 1 year.......2007-07-19

I received this alarm clock for a gift and at first really enjoyed it and waking to the Natural sounds. However, after only a year, an internal LED started flickering - very annoying at night - and then the digits on the display started disappearing. It progressed to where you could not turn off the alarm nor snooze it. I am disappointed that a $70 clock wouldn't last for more than a year.

I like the physical appearance of the unit as alo the control buttons, but, am very disappointed in the sound quality, and forget the nature sounds. Both the AM and FM bands come through very "tinny", totally unlike the sound I was receiving on my Sony Dream Machine - clear, deep and robust - which gave up after being used for 17 yrs. The Timex T617S was more affordable but not worth the savings. Maybe I am just too choosy.

I am not well pleased with this product. Controls are very difficult to figure out - buttons on back, top and front!! Peak volume on this radio is rather low. I have placed it in a bookcase on the same wall as my bed. At peak volume, this radio can not over-ride the sound of my air-conditoner. This radio needs to be out in the open, not on a shelf.

this is a very compact camcorder. However, the 5MP 3-CCD is useless if the lense is inferior. That's what happens to this JVC miniDV. The lense is not from any lense specialist, it's made by JVC itself. You have to look at the camcorder lense carefully to see "JVC video lense". The vidoe quality therefore is limited. There are tiny dots when you play it back on TV. I compared this with Sony DCR-HC96 and Panasonic PV-GS500 and decided that PV-GS500 is the best for the money.

This camcorder has taken on the big boys of the video market. Once you get used to the design, you can make anything you can create in your mind, with almost as vivid color as real life! Okay, I could be blowing things out of proportion, but for the money, it is truely an amazing mechanism. The still picture is definitely impressive in comparison to other video cameras testing the hybridism of multi-use cameras. The only thing that was not amazing, like all other prosumer camcorders, was the sound quality from the built in mic. It is placed on top of the camera, picking up more of the gear sounds from the tape, than the subject in front of the lens. Definitely the best camera for a person breaking into videography on a budget.

Been a driver for 20 yrs, always ran "el cheapo" radio stock out of box. decided to get big radio and looked for awhile b4 deciding on a 959, (same as 949 except has freq meter) it has features only found(and not found in some cases)on much more expensive models!! The ones that got me were variable talkback,4 stage LARGE meter that you can actually see and use ,(signal, modulation,power and swr),freq meter, ...so, I paid more than this site because i bought at a truck stop(pilot) paid 200. took to local radio shop and did basic peak and tune and added echo board (70$total)
and now get nothing but compliments all day!!! Big Galaxy sound!!! my driving buddies tell me i key up all over traffic on 19 and sound great doing it. my out of pocket is well below 300$ and you can save even more buying online. Also 2 year warranty is not voided by any mods you do as long as the mod doesnt cause the problem you send it in for!!!couldnt find that with any other radio!!! Another reviewer mentioned swr warning light may come on before 2.5 to 1 and this is true with mine also but i dont mind this ,i consider it an "early warning system" however if it bothers you galaxy is aware of prob and has solution on their support site. prob a 5$ fix at a radio shop

I wanted a wireless keyboard and mouse for a long time but I didnt want to pay big bucks for it. So one day in Wal-Mart I came across this wireless set for $15.99. So I thought if it didnt do what I needed it to do then I could take it back without any probelms. I pluged in the receiver to my USB port and Win XP found it I didnt have to load the drivers. Long story short. Im very happy with my $15.99 investment.
