Not an HP item, but it still does the job........2004-09-07

I was a bit thrown in the beginning because the item shown when purchasing is the original HP ink in the original packaging. This item does NOT come like that. It's separately boxed, and from what it looks like, it was a cartridge that was just refilled. Honestly, I don't really care. It's for my printer at home, and it does just as good of a job as the original printer cartridge that I had, for way less money. I will definately buy again.

refurbished cartridge with more ink than original.......2007-05-21

The ink had leaked out the bottom a little when it arrived. This made the first 20 color copies different color shades than expected. It adjusted to normal after that and has been working great. I probably got more than 20 more copies out of this color cartridge than an original and I was able to use those oddly colored pages anyway. The product was shipped on time. I will be a repeat customer (though I would appreciate some additional packaging to keep the bottom from leaking during shipping)(some tape-type tab is placed there with the originals and other refurbished I've purchased in the past).

As always, HP inks always deliver great quality. They are a bit pricey compared to other manufacturers though.

I know the HP brand is more expensive than the knock-offs, but I've tried the cheap ones & had nothing but problems. The last one I tried clogged my printer so bad I had to run a cleaning cycle a bunch to get it working.

I use this in my HP printer. I also have epson. This one prints nicely, dries better, lasts much longer, and never clogs. Just watch the expiration date. One year over is fine, with older I had problems.

I've tried refilling my own ink cartridges multiple times. Usually I can get quite a bit more life from them after a refill. However, I found unpredictable failures with refills and the resulting print quality was not a good as with the HP cartridge. My photographs on glossy paper, and my routine printing on ink-jet paper, all seem crisper and better balanced (color and contrast) with the HP brand cartridge. I've tried the remanufactured cartridges with similar results. So, now I just look for the best price on the original HP factory-fresh cartridges for my DeskJet 970.

This is the larger size color cartridge. Your better off getting this size so you spend less time changing ink cartridges. Never had a problem with HP ink. I tried "economy" brands and had color issues.

I ordered this item on January 17, 2007!!!!!

It was finally shipped on 01/25/07!! but, would you believe it, SNAIL MAIL!!!!

I received a tracking number for this on 01/26/07, but even though I went and set it up at the US Postal site to be notified of the package progress, I received no shipment progress e-mails.

And get this, it was shipped from a city in Maryland which is only about 25-30 miles away from me!!!!
