Excellent British design........2005-05-13
I just upgraded to this from the KLH 525 II Center Channel Speaker for a couple of reasons (1) I used that speaker in my fiancee's home theatre system and (2) my main speakers on my av system are Linn Kans (also polk R15s for surround speakers, a Harman Kardon AVR 235 receiver, and a Yamaha YST-SW215 8" Powered Subwoofer). I was looking for an inexpensive way to match my Linn main system and the kans in my home theatre system. These guys do their stuff. The design is British, but the box said "Made in China". Oh well, the sound is fabulous! If you are looking for an inexpensive yet fabulous sounding speaker look no further. I won't knock the KLH 525 Center Channel Speaker, but you may want to spend the extra bucks for this speaker as this really matches speakers like the Linns and polks.

I have been listening to the Diamond Center Channel speaker for several weeks and have been very pleased with it's performance. Excellent voice reproduction with television and DVD's. What has been really suprising is it's performance with music. I listen to classical, country, rock and folk music. Excellent clarity, no distortion or muddiness with these genres. Even opera, which I think is a real challenge, was accurately reproduced. My only criticism is the somewhat large, boxy appearance. Otherwise an excellent value for the price.

This Brit rocks. The most popular of all British speakers for a good reason. The quality for the money you spend cannot be beat. I got an awesome deal on Amazon ... They go for [more] now but it's still definitely worth it. The clarity and tightness of the sound is truly a thing to marvel. Play your receiver at a higher volume and there is no noticeable distortion or harshness of sound. It's smooth and genuine. The only minor issue is its size and lack of beautiful design lines. But as far as functionality goes, there's nothing to beat it.

HP f70 pixel issue.......2003-08-22
I had only one bad pixel and decided to live with it as it was a minor issue. However, after about 6 months I got a whole string of bad pixels down the left side of the screen and had to return the monitor for replacement. Otherwise, the display is very clear and I really like space saving the flat panel.
Beautiful monitor.......2003-02-27
I love this monitor! It makes me wonder why I stayed with a CRT for so long. The picture is crystal clear, and it is easy on the eyes. The on-screen controls are very easy to use. I do have a couple of complaints about it, however. One, the only manual is on the CD. Two, mine has two bad pixels (that's very common with all LCD's, though.) But I would recommend this monitor to everybody!
Hp's Best yet.......2003-01-17
I bought my f70 monitor about a month ago. If I had of known it was this much better, I would have bought it sooner. It is great. I would recommend to anyone.

Check Your System.......2003-01-25
This USB 2.0 port might work fine, but, if your system does not have a PCI slot with revision 2.2, forget it. Unfortunately, I didn't check first. After installing the card and the supplied software, my system said the card was working fine, but no USB device was detected or recognized. I checked my system and found my PCI slots were actually revision 2.1. I installed a Belkin USB 2.0 dual-port PCI card instead, which is compatable with PCI revision 2.1, and everything worked fine.

I fought with this card for three days on Windows 98 SE and was never able to get it up and going. USBMAN.COM does not recommend the VIA chipset.

It's fast,...and it works great. If you need quick USB 2.0 connectivity, like for an external MP3 player, this card is perfect.
Good low end USB 2.0 PCI card.......2002-09-26
This is a basic 2 port USB 2.0 card. It uses the VIA chipset
and offers 2 external ports and no internal connectors. It is
a "low profile" card, meaning that it doesn't rise very high
inside your computer (important for those with very cramped
space inside the computer, irrelevant for most). It comes with
only a driver disc that supports Win98SE/WinME/Win2000/WinXP.
It does NOT come with cables or any other software. It
comes in a retail box with a 2 year warranty from the
manufacturer.
In all, this is pretty much a bare-bones card, but if all
you want is to add a couple of USB 2.0 ports to your computer,
this will do the job. And (as of this writing at least) the
price is right--it's the cheapest USB 2.0 card at Amazon.
